Chapter 814: Yiling Sent Me the Tickets, Of Course I Have to Go
“It doesn’t matter how long it’s been!” Wen Nuan replied as she coldly glared at Cai Qinyue. “Don’t come over to be a pain in the neck. I’m only at peace with you because of my older brother!”
Cai Qinyue: “Forget it if you can’t appreciate our good intentions.”
Wen Nuan: “I can’t afford to accept your good intentions.”
Cai Qinyue: “You said this yourself.”
Wen Nuan: “This temple is too small to accommodate for a large Buddha. Please leave now.”
Then, Wen Nuan signaled Cai Qinyue to leave.
Cai Qinyue snickered before she turned around to leave. She then walked out of Wen Nuan’s studio with elegant and noble pacing.
After she left the studio, Cai Qinyue sneered the studio behind her: “Who does she think she is? Does she really think that she’s a jewelry designer with that kind of studio?”
###
In the evening when Wen Nuan returned home, Jian Shuxing presented two tickets to her.
When she saw that the tickets were for the XDL fashion show, Wen Nuan’s thoughts immediately went to the incident earlier in the day.
“Why did you get these tickets as well? I don’t want to go,” Wen Nuan said. Her voice was disinterested.
“I didn’t get these tickets. Yiling sent them over,” Jian Shuxing replied.
“Yiling?” Wen Nuan repeated. Her face immediately changed as she quickly grabbed the tickets from her husband’s hands. “Yiling got them for me?”
“Yeah, she did. She probably thinks that the fashion show is closely related to your jewelry designing. That’s why I think she bought the tickets for you. After all, she shared your post after you established your jewelry design studio as well, no?”
This was a guess by Jian Shuxing.
When he got the tickets sent by his daughter, Jian Shuxing was especially happy.
Wen Nuan was suddenly very happy. She looked at the tickets in her hand and the smile on her face brightened.
In reality, Wen Nuan did not enjoy fashion shows. She didn’t reject Cai Qinyue’s ticket purely because of them.
When Jian Shuxing saw the smile on his wife’s face, he was incredibly happy as well.
“See, your daughter still cares about you,” Jian Shuxing said.
“Mhmm!” Wen Nuan nodded. Then she asked her husband: “Since there are two tickets here, do you want to go with me to the fashion show this weekend?”
“Of course. After all, Yiling sent the tickets. Why would I not want to go?”
Although Jian Shuxing was not interested in the fashion show itself, it did not prevent him from accompanying his wife to go to the fashion show. Furthermore, his daughter had arranged this for them.
Then, Jian Shuxing said to Wen Nuan: “How about you take a day off tomorrow? You’ve been incredibly busy lately. You should get some time to rest up.”
“Okay.”
###
As Wen Nuan did not accept the ticket, Wen Ruo ended up going to the fashion show with her mother.
Before they left the house, Cai Qinyue kept looking in the mirror. She had to make sure that she gave off a good image.
She didn’t want to be a laughing stock at the fashion show.
Countless celebrities, idols, and rich individuals from the upper-class circles would be attending the XDL fashion show.
Just when the fashion show was about to officially start, Cai Qinyue and Wen Ruo spotted Jian Shuxing and Wen Nuan.
Seeing them made Cai Qinyue incredibly amused: “Well, it appears as though some people act as though they don’t care on the surface level. However, they still end up buying tickets.”
Wen Ruo: “Forget it. It’s okay that she wasn’t willing to accept my tickets. However, attending the XDL fashion show still proves the fact that she wants to keep up with the fashion trends. It’s helping her ensure that her designs don’t fall out of fashion. It’s a correct choice.”
After all, XDL was an internationally renowned brand. The company was always leading the way in fashion.
Cai Qinyue: “Just wait till I talk to her.”
