From A Stronghold NPC To The Final BOSS - Chapter 25
Chapter 25: Crisis of the Mountain Bandits
In Starter Village #10021, now that the Mountain Bandits’ crisis was ravaging the area, the rest of the players could only level up by fighting the chickens and ducks around the Starter Village.
However, compared to the massive number of players in the village.
There were not enough of the monsters to go around.
However, they had no other choice. The players could only make do with this for now. It was better than doing nothing.
Suddenly, just when a few players joined forces to beat a wild chicken to death and were about to gather the material that it dropped, one of the players discovered a faint trace far away from the corner of his eye.
When he saw this, the player couldn’t help but stand up and look toward the front.
He had merely taken a glance when his face turned pale, “Mountain Bandits!”
“What!!”
He immediately attracted the attention of the other players when he said those words.
It couldn’t be helped.
The phrases “Liangshan Stronghold” and “Mountain Bandits” were the players’ nightmares in Starter Village #10021.
Almost all of the players had experienced dying pathetically by the blade of the Mountain Bandits.
It was to the point where they couldn’t progress as the Mountain Bandits pressured them. They could only grieve and live near the perimeter of the Starter Village.
Even though the players had an extreme hatred for the Mountain Bandits of the Liangshan Stronghold, they felt an uncontrollable sense of fear when they heard the words “Mountain Bandit.”
The rest of the Mountain Bandits’ expressions changed drastically when they looked toward where the first player was looking at.
The familiar clothing and the swarm of human figures were approaching the Starter Village.
And…The tall figure, as well as that determined expression, “The Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain!”
“This is not good. The Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain has led his Mountain Bandits here. They are about to attack the Starter Village!”
“Leave quickly, leave quickly!”
The players who saw Qin Shujian’s face became immensely fearful. They no longer dared to stay where they were. Instead, they swarmed toward the direction of the Starter Village like a nest of bees.
It couldn’t be helped.
The Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain had too great of a reputation.
If the source of the crisis of Mountain Bandits during these days came from the Mountain Bandits of the Liangshan Stronghold.
Then the Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain caused the players the most psychological stress.
The players didn’t know the name of the Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain. They only knew that the other party was the Liangshan Stronghold Mountain Bandits’ boss and that he was an NPC with frightening strength.
He was a great Boss that could massacre his way out of an embattlement formed by over 1,000 players.
A Boss represented a large number of resources.
However, that was only the case if they could defeat the Boss.
If they had no way of defeating the Boss, then the Boss was just a nightmare for the players.
In the eyes of the players, the Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain was a nightmare.
Qin Shujian didn’t send his men to pursue the players when he saw them escape. Instead, he led the mob of Mountain Bandits and advanced slowly toward the village.
From his perspective, the current players weren’t enough to pose as much of a threat.
The real threat came from the fact that there might be an expert hiding within the Starter Village.
Simultaneously, the news of the Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain leading his Mountain Bandits to the village had spread throughout the Starter Village.
It was something that everyone knew.
The Mountain Bandits from the Liangshan Stronghold had never stepped within two miles of the Starter Village.
Even though the Mountain Bandits pursued the players over the days, the Mountain Bandits that were chasing after them would automatically retreat the moment they entered that radius.
Thus, this caused the rest of the players to mistakenly assume that the Mountain Bandits faced some sort of limitation and would not step into the safety radius.
However, the Mountain Bandits were currently breaking that rule.
Moreover, the person leading the pack was the Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain. This caused many players to feel that something terrible was about to happen.
“The Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain!” Wang Renbin’s expression turned grave when he heard this piece of news.
Cao Hong, Zhao Xiaomeng, and the rest of the people gathered.
Lu Shoujia said with a low tone, “The Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain might have evil intentions for leading his Mountain Bandits here. The Starter Village might not be able to defend against his attack with its current strength.”
He looked at Wang Renbin as he said this.
“I wonder when you are going to take action, Sir Wang.” The rest of the people looked toward Wang Renbin when they heard this.
They each had given him one million dollars.
They could only wait for the Wang family to resolve the situation.
Wang Renbin’s expression turned serious as he said, “Don’t worry, all of you. The Wang family is gathering other high-level players as we speak. They will teleport over to the village in no time.”
…
Many of the village guards had gathered outside the Starter Village.
The NPCs who had fought against Qin Shujian in the past, such as Head Coach Zhang, had also appeared in the area.
“Liangshan Stronghold Chieftain, what is the meaning of this?” At this moment, a muscular middle-aged man looked toward the mob of Mountain Bandits. His gaze finally landed on Qin Shujian’s body as he scolded harshly.
Qin Shujian looked at the other party and said calmly, “Who are you?”
“I am the master of this village’s training hall, Gong Changwu,” Gong Changwu had a booming voice. He stared at Qin Shujian with an icy gaze.
“The Liangshan Stronghold has come to bother Starter Village #10021 time and time again, yet we did not dispute it with you. Now that you’ve mobilized these many men over to the village, are you really treating us as pushovers?!” He released a powerful aura as he spoke.
Faintly, Qin Shujian could also sense the roaring blood and Qi in his body.
This familiar scene caused Qin Shujian to squint.
Martial Entry-Level Six!
Peak Blood and Qi!
He had expected that there were experts who surpassed Martial Entry-Level Five in Starter Village #10021.
Qin Shujian felt more sure of his conjecture now that the master of the training hall had appeared.
Peak Blood and Qi were the hallmarks of a Martial Entry-Level Six fighter.
If this was the Qiin Shujian of the past, he might have been cautious of a Martial Entry-Level Six fighter. However, as he was now, a Martial Entry-Level Six fighter posed no threat to him.
Qi Shujian’s only worry was that the Martial Entry-Level Six fighter before him wasn’t the only expert in Starter Village #10021.
However, now that the situation had come to this.
No amount of uncertain factors were enough to make Qin Shujian retreat.
“So what if they have a Martial Entry-Level Seven fighter?” Qin Shujian thought, “I’ll kill them all the same!”
Qin Shujian’s gaze turned ice-cold, and he waved his arm, “Charge!”
Behind him, the horde of Mountain Bandits flailed their weapons and charged toward the Starter Village.
Without waiting for Gong Changwu and the rest of the group to say anything, the Starter Village guards moved forward to defend against the Mountain Bandits.
The once-calm scene instantly became a chaotic battlefield.
“Charge!” Qin Shujian had his Tiger Head Blade in hand. The blocks of mud under his feet cracked and exploded as Qin Shujian shot forward like an arrow out of its quiver. He cleaved his blade toward Gong Changwu.
Qin Shujian did not hold back. His strength as a Martial Entry-Level Eight fighter erupted instantly. Coupled with the Black Tiger Blade Technique at the Pinnacle level, the power displayed by Qin Shujian was harrowing.
Boom!
The Tiger Head Blade sliced past the resistance of the air and let out a string of explosions.
This moment, from Gong Changwu’s perspective, Qin Shujian was like a ferocious tiger that lorded over the jungle. The murderous aura he released was like a winter night. It was enough to cause a person’s heart and soul to freeze.
However, Gong Changwu was still a Martial Entry-Level Six fighter.
Flushed with his brimming blood and Qi, he instantly came to his senses.
He met Qin Shujian’s attack with the bronze pole he had in his hand, with enough force to split mountains.
Boom!
