Chapter 96: Episode 26. The Army of Malicious Commander (3)

I thought about Nanjing, which was in Jiangsu Province in China.

Count Saman’s dungeon was located near that city.

The dungeon was actually very close to Nanjing. The close distance was the reason that I had overlooked it in the past. I started searching for the dungeon in places that were far away from the city, before closing in into the city itself. Because of my approach, I could only find the dungeon now.

“We hail the master.”

Krathra got off from the Griffin and kneeled. Next to him, hundreds of Shades hovered in the air.

It seemed that he had not had a chance to shower; Krathra was covered in dust. The Griffin seemed to be mad about the tight schedule. He was constantly hitting the ground. Every time he hit the ground, there was a large bang and the ground shook.

I pushed them too hard. Now, I needed to compliment them for their achievements.

“You have done well.”

“I regret that I could not find it sooner.”

“Do not worry.”

Backing up, I looked at the dungeon.

The dungeon was about 500 meters away from where I was, but Saman’s dungeon looked quite large even from that distance. Furthermore, skeletons and zombies were around. There were some Orcs and slimes, too.

“The quality of the monsters is terrible.”

The fairies of the dungeon had gone mad, and they had sent out most of the monsters from the dungeon. However, the quality of the monsters which I could spot was terrible. The best of them were low-level monsters. Saman must have made poor decisions on spending all his budget to purchase a handful of expensive monsters. As a result, the quality of the monsters that he already had degraded.

At some point, one had to choose between quantity and quality. However, Saman made one of the worst decisions that he could possibly make. No wonder he was one of Ufa’s demons. He was so ignorant.

“Is this it?”

I asked Krathra, just in case. He paused for a moment and continued.

“The entrance is completely shut and we could not look into the dungeon.”

“Even the Shades could not enter the dungeon?”

Shades were half-souls. I thought that they could easily avoid the low-level monsters and sneak into the dungeon. They were also quite fast.

Krathra continued. He looked apologetic.

“It seems that there is a Shadow Sinner near the entrance of the dungeon. I wanted to fight, but I was concerned about triggering full-fledged battles. Before I make any move, I wanted to ask your opinion, master.”

I thought about Shadow Sinners. Shades evolved into Shadow Sinners. Shadow Sinners were also level three high monsters. If there was a Shadow Sinner guarding the dungeon, it would be almost impossible to penetrate the defense with just the Shades.

Krathra spoke again with confidence.

“Master, if you wish, I will clean up that dungeon right now.”

The fairies became anxious after their master’s death, and they shut down the entrance of the dungeon. They must have been carefully monitoring who would be trying to invade, and they would make sure that no one could enter the dungeon.

When I assaulted the monsters, the fairies would be watching me. I must take the lead and show my incomparable power, which would frighten the fairies.

If the fairies got frightened by my power, taking over the dungeon would be easier.

I wielded “Anger” and wore “Indolence,” which was a red cape. It had been a while since I used both of them. On top of that, I also activated supporting items. I wanted to show my full power in front of the fairies.

“Paranormal.”

Fighting monsters with all my blood in my groin would be unforgettable. I surely did not want to fight monsters like that.

Clicking my tongue, I moved forward.

Behind me were Krathra, Griffin, Liches, Spartoi, and two hundred Saber Tigers.

I held Anger up high.

Then I drew my sword forward.

“Follow me. We will destroy our enemy.”

In fact, the monsters in front of us were too easy to be called enemies.

Saber Tigers alone could easily take care of Orcs. I had trained Saber Tigers by having them hunt Orcs, which I released in their zone. Having a lot of experience hunting Orcs, my Saber Tigers were now very good at dealing with Orcs.

We had finally reached the entrance of the dungeon after fighting thousands of lowest and low monsters.

There stood a Shadow Sinner.

I had confronted it once in England in this life. I had become much more powerful now.

Its feet were on shackles. The monster then swung an iron ball that was connected to the shackles.

Boom!

I did not dodge the iron ball. Instead, I stretched out my arm and caught the iron ball.

My strength was around 95! With such a tremendous strength, catching the iron ball that the Shadow Sinner shot was a piece of cake.

“Move. I am here to talk to your master.”

High monsters have high intelligence. The monster must have understood me. And the fairy of the dungeon must have been watching the entire fight, too. However, the monster did not respond to my demand. The silence implied that the negotiation had failed.

“I guess it is not enough.”

I threw the iron ball.

“Dark Sword.”

Anger was now stained with darkness.

Unlike Anger or Indolence, which were directly applied to items, Dark Sword was a skill that I learned by myself. As a result, I could activate the skill without uttering the activating words.

The Shadow Sinner seemed to panic at the sight of the Dark Sword. It took a step back, and it looked extremely alarmed.

“Is it because the skill is related to darkness?”

In fact, any item or skill related to darkness would alarm Shadow Sinners. They were born in the darkness so, they would definitely realize the power of the Dark Sword.

However… the monster took so long to realize the power.

I kicked the floor. The surprised Shadow Sinner then threw the iron ball again.

The iron ball was split in half and dropped to the ground. I continued to push the monster, and it now attempted to swing its iron chain.

The iron chain lashed past me and hit the ground. It made a pit in the ground. After a split second, the monster recovered the chain and tried to intimidate me by swinging the chain.

Using my sword, I cut the iron chain that was coming at me.

Shadow Sinners’ iron chains would regenerate even if they got cut.

However, the monster’s chain did not regenerate.

The Shadow Sinner freaked out. The iron chain did not regenerate, and the monster backed up quickly.

“Let’s see.”

Looking at the panicking Shadow Sinner, I smiled with satisfaction.

Wounds from the Dark Sword did not recover. Such wounds were not limited to biological wounds. Even objects made out of mana could be damaged permanently from the skill.

I thought that this skill would be very useful.

Then I thought about the Achievement Store. The Army of Malicious Commander was a scam, but the Dark Sword was a real deal.

I slashed the Shadow Sinner, which was trying to retreat. Then I turned around.

Griffin was using its fire and lightning skills to burn the slimes.

The Liches were blowing up zombies. Zombies were undead in the first place, but they could not dodge the Liches’ “dead body explosion” skill. In order to avoid this skill, a monster had to have high intelligence and strong anti-mana power. However, low-level monsters like zombies did not have such abilities and skills.

“The battle is almost done.”

It took only about twenty minutes to eliminate thousands of monsters.

The quality of the monsters near the dungeon was very poor. Furthermore, my monsters were incomparably strong.

My monsters and I did not receive any damage at all!

“I am here at your disposal.”

Swinging his red spear, Krathra approached me.

I told him silently.

“Stay right by me. I will move quickly.”

The winner of the battle was already decided.

There was no need to prolong it.

I was able to reach the top floor very quickly. Then I stared at the Dungeon Core indifferently.

Most of the monsters behind me were intact, except for the five Saber Tigers that fought a high monster.

A fairy was standing confidently on top of the Dungeon Core.

“Yes, that is correct. My name is Wheezy. If you want to destroy my Dungeon Core, go ahead. I will return to Mother Nature. Wheezy does not know if she will stay as Wheezy, but Wheezy is happy that Saman is dead!”

Wheezy was a bit feisty for a fairy. Perhaps the fairy’s name was Wheezy because she was often “wheezy” and out of breath when she was angry.

When it came to fairies, most demons were the same; they always abused fairies. Saman, too, must have abused Wheezy. No wonder Wheezy was happy about Saman’s death.

I told her lightly.

“Come and work for me.”

Wheezy was lost in her thoughts.

After about ten minutes, Wheezy started talking again.

The contract was finally concluded.

I put Anger back in its sheath and spoke indifferently.

“Do not worry.”

I frowned.

I thought about the Malicious Commander.
