Dungeon Hunter - Chapter 92
Chapter 92: Episode 25. Achievement Store (3)
I thought about the Magical Era.
It was an era when humans controlled dragons and non-human beings flourished.
It was said that during such times, even demons would not dare invade Middle Earth. So much happened, and so many geniuses flourished and died during this era. The records of this era were still preserved in the Devildom.
I thought about the Great Orc Emperor Ram. During the golden era, the united Orcs and conquered half of the continent. His reign was short, but the story of his fighting a thousand knights alone was indeed a legend. He could easily be one of the highest grade monsters.
Then I thought about Jin Vampire Subira… Subira was also active in Middle Earth, but her name was well-known in the Devildom, too. She infected an entire kingdom in just a day. It was said that the strongest owners of Magic Towers, Golden Knights and Saintesses, who were protected by the King of Heaven, had to unite against Subira. Only after they united could they barely take down Subira.
I was only active in battlefields when I was in Devildom. I did not care about those in Middle Earth, but Subira was so great that even I had heard about her.
“I had only heard the stories.”
Battles do not go on all day even on battlefields. When there were pauses, demons, who were not even close to one another, would gather around and tell stories to each other. Most of them were nonsense and did not make sense. However, I had heard about Ram and Subira quite often.
“However, Rich King Gospel and Jinma Dragon Ahojin were from the Devildom.”
The two were considered almost equivalent to the Dark Lord.
Among them, Ahojin was “incomparable.”
Top-notched dragons were level four, and Balrogs were level five. However, Jinma Dragons were solely level six.
Had Ahojin in his prime appeared here on Earth, no one would have dared to fight him.
Archdukes and Dukes in the Devildom had not fully recovered their strengths. They would be hopeless in front of Ahojin. If I could purchase the dragon, my victory would be very certain. However, the price of Ahojin was way too expensive; I needed an achievement score of 50,000.
I had accomplished quite a lot of achievements. During the last couple of years, I completed more achievements than what I had done for decades during my previous life. Despite the efforts and achievements, I had just over 10,000 achievement points.
The price of a Jinma dragon was 50,000 achievement points. It was too expensive.
“I need to collect more achievement points.”
Though the price was very expensive, I did not think that earning such a large amount of achievement points was impossible.
It had only been three years. In fact, the third year had not even passed yet.
During that time, I had already collected 10,000 achievement points. I discovered many ways to earn points, and I was quite sure that there would be many more to be discovered.
Someday, I would have more than 50,000 achievement points in my pockets.
Of course, the dragon was a pie in the sky now, but I was quite confident with myself.
I moved on and looked at the list of skills.
“Some of the skills seem useful.”
Similar to armors and weapons, all of the skills were at least unique-graded.
Furthermore, some skills were above epic-grades, which were not sold at the shop for everything. Such skills got me interested.
For instance, I had never heard about the Dark Meteor and the Energy of Heaven.
However, I had seen the Dark Sword and the Shield of Forest.
“Is the Dark Sword a lower version of Abyss Sword that Archduke Ariel used?”
I calmly read the description of the skill.
Name – Dark Sword (Ex U)
Description: Only those who had looked into the true abyss can use this skill. The skill overlays “abyss” to the sword and cuts out the space. Furthermore, the Dark Sword absorbs all kinds of lights.
*One cannot cure the wounds from the Dark Sword. It has a strong backlash against holiness.
I nodded.
Ariel’s skill, which was the Abyss Sword, overlaid “confusion” to a sword. The way the skills worked looked similar. I guess that if I enhanced the Dark Sword to the epic grade, the skill would become the Abyss Sword.
“Lightning God is not enough.”
I rubbed my jaw.
Although the Dark Sword was a grade lower than the Abyss Sword, the skill was perfect for me. I was thinking that I needed more skills than just Lightning God… Above all, it was a shame that I could not fully utilize the sword that I was wielding, which was “Anger.”
Had I used the Dark Sword to Anger, the synergy would be great.
“Let me think about Sentiment du Fer.”
Sentiment du Fer caught my eyes.
I slowly read the description of the skill.
Name – Sentiment du Fer (Ex U, Passive)
Description: This skill makes the user and their sword become one. Once the two are joined as one, the two will breathe and act together. Once the user activates this skill, the user’s sword will carry the user’s will. Depending on the user’s will, the sword can destroy everything or save everything.

If the user uses a sword, the strength and agility of the user increase by three, respectively.

** This skill makes a sword surrender to its owner, even if the sword has a strong ego.
After reading the description, I was filled with one thought.
“I want this skill.”
The Dark Sword and Sentiment du Fer were just perfect for me.
Other skills were either too expensive or did not fit me.
After looking at the skills, I looked at the list of [Additional items related to achievements.]
“The Egg of an Angel…!”
I corrupted an angel and made Tashumal join me. As a result, I completed two seemingly impossible achievements that were related to angels. Perhaps the item was a reward for the achievements.
However, the name of the item looked strange.
Angels were born from eggs. When an egg was laid, one needed to cover the egg with the wings of an angel. After some time, an angel would hatch from the egg. The problem was that I did not have any angels that could do such a job.
“Perhaps the wings of a fallen angel might work.”
The closest monster to an angel that I had was Tashumal. However, it was uncertain that a normal angel would come out from an egg that was covered by the wings of a fallen angel. The wings of Tashumal would emit the mana of yang instead of holiness… There was a chance that a preterm angel would be born. In the worst case, there could be a miscarriage.
“I need to give it a try.”
Despite the uncertainties, I was quite excited about what would happen.
I was completely satisfied with Tashumal alone. However, it would be fantastic if I could breed an army of angels. No demon could afford angels to guard their dungeons like me. Besides, the dead body of an angel seemed very nutritious to the “Tree of Origin.”
I suspected a close relation between angels and the Tree of Origin. Besides the benefit of the tree growing fast, I would be able to complete a few additional achievements by breeding angels. This was certain.
I was in dire need of achievement points. Perhaps it was more important than regular points at the moment. I needed to try every single possible way to earn more.
“I will purchase items later.”
My achievement points were 11,451.
I planned to spend it as carefully as I could.
I purchased an Egg of Angel and waited until Tashumal woke up.
Tashumal slept for another half-day and woke up.
She changed into some white and soft clothes. Her clothes were in stark contrast with the black wings on her back.
The wings, which were the signature of a fallen angel, had already grown a lot and covered most of Tashumal’s back. On top of that, the number of wings did not change. They were a total of six wings. The number implied that Tashumal used to be a Dominion. Although Tashumal was no longer a Dominion, her wings in the back manifested her majesty.
“This egg…!”
As soon as she saw the Egg of Angel, she realized what it was.
“Can you bear it?”
“Where on earth did you get this egg? Eggs of Angels are managed under special care in forbidden places of the Celestial World. Only high angels are allowed to enter such places, so how did you…”
Her voice trembled.
It was easy to tell that she was panicking.
I knew the dungeons better than Tashumal, but I could not imagine that I would run into an Egg of Angel so serendipitously. It was no surprise that Tashumal, who had yet to fully understand how dungeons worked, would be shocked.
“I have heard that some angels hid their eggs after laying them. Then they secretly sent the eggs to those who could assess the class of angels in the eggs… However, if an angel were corrupted enough to send eggs to demons, he or she could not have existed in the Celestial World in the first place. Where did you get the egg?”
Tashumal was a bit hostile. However, she did not move any further.
Ignoring her concerns, I continued.
“Do not worry. I did not steal it. And I also hate saying the same thing twice. Tashumal, can you bear this egg?”
“I-I cannot. How can a fallen angel bear a sacred egg?”
I clicked my tongue silently.
“It is a shame. The poor angel inside this egg is then destined to die before it is even born.”
“What do you mean it cannot be born…?”
“The angel will not be born. This tiny being does not have the strength to last. The only option it has is to die.”
The Egg of Angel was carrying a little bit of warmth.
However, if the egg was left on its own, the angel inside the egg would die in a few days. Birds and monsters could take care of it. However, their taking care of the egg would surely be different from the angels doing so.
Tashumal’s face hardened.
I laughed softly.
“Do not worry. It is not your fault. After all, you are corrupted. This egg is just unlucky. Hmm, I can have a Wyburn bear it. If I am lucky, the angel inside the egg might survive.”
“How dare you have a monster bear the holy Egg of Angel?!”
Grinding her teeth, Tashumal took the Egg of Angel from me.
“I will bear it. And I will take care of the baby angel.”
“Are you going to be okay?”
“Even though I am now a fallen angel, I used to carry light. I will make the impossible possible.”
“I will let you handle the egg then.”
I shrugged my shoulders and continued talking.
“I might get a few more Eggs of Angel. I hope you can take care of them, too.”
“You filthy bastard! Did you imprison an angel and forcefully…”
“If I imprisoned an angel, why would I ask for your help to hatch the egg?”
Even if one forcefully made two angels mate, one cannot get Eggs of Angel. I had heard that angels could control whether they bear an egg or not. Many demons had captured angels in the past, but none of them could reproduce angels as they wished.
Tashumal’s worries were for naught.
Emitting my mana, I quietly advised Tashumal.
“Dear Tashumal, you are no longer an angel. Keep that in mind.”
“…”
Tashumal, who was carefully holding the Egg of Angel, kept quiet, her feelings mixed.
By nature, dungeons had tremendous impacts on the growth of monsters.
The angel inside the egg had already grown. However, the egg did not hatch until exactly a week after I handed it to Tashumal.
Surprisingly, the angel was born safely. With two cute wings on its back, the angel appeared from the egg.
At the same time, I remembered the achievement I was looking forward to.
[Amazing achievement! You have hatched an Egg of Angel in a dungeon for the first time.]
[500,000 points will be rewarded.]
[1,000 achievement points will be rewarded.]
It seemed that the amount of rewarded achievement points also appeared on the message window.
The newborn angel was just another angel, but its statistics were pretty good.
Its potential was on par with that of an intermediate monster of level five.
I confirmed that I could hatch an Egg of Angel. The next step was increasing the number of newborn angels.
I purchased another ten Eggs of Angel.
If all of the angels grew successfully and were able to reproduce, I would have completed another achievement.
With the remaining achievement points, I purchased the Dark Sword and Sentiment du Fer. Now the balance was 2,451.
After learning the skill, I checked the status window.
Name: Randalph Bruciel
Vocational: Count of Devildom (Dungeon Master)
Title:

Dungeon hunter (When conquering a dungeon or hunting a demon, remaining statistics +1)
Unbreakable Warrior (Ex U, All statistics +2)
The first one to be blessed by a fairy (U, mana +6)
Owner of the Origin (Epic, all statistics +3)

Capability:
Strength 80 (+15) Intelligence 72 (+5)

Skills: Combination of All Things (U), Mind’s Eye (Ex U), Dark Sword (Ex U), Sentiment du Fer (Ex U, Passive), and Spirit of Electric Power (Epic), Anger (Epic), and Indolence (Epic)
I had eliminated forty-thousand demons and earned one remaining statistics. As a result of Sentiment du Fer, my strength and agility each increased by three… I had also increased my electric power by invading a nuclear power plant. There were no other significant changes, but I was quite satisfied with my statistics, which appeared on the status window.
“Robe of Death would not be too bad.”
The Seven Sins would have made my statistics look even more beautiful, but unfortunately, I could not find them from the list of items and skills.
If I could buy another item, I would purchase the “Robe of Death.” It was one of the collection items, which included Krithli’s “Death Cane.” The robe would help increase Krithli’s power.
“Using the Death Cane, Krithli mastered the skill for creating undead monsters. That skill alone made Spartoi. A complete combination would be even more helpful.”
After I purchased the Robe of Death, I was broke.
“Now…”
Although I had used up all of my achievement points, I still had a lot of points.
I had 12 million points in total!
There was a lot of time left until the next Auction of Devildom.
Leaving the points as they were would be a dumb choice.
“I will try to complete all the achievements that I can predict.”
I calmly nodded.
