Dungeon Hunter - Chapter 37
Chapter 37: Episode 9. Krathra and Krithli (5)
Krithli’s eyes were full of determination.
She was also aware of her situation.
Although she drank some Elixir and her health improved little bit, the curse of Ice Dragon was still there inside of her body. The curse got worse and was eating away her life faster than it had done before. Other Dark Elves might not have known, but Krithli herself was well aware of what was really going on.
Knowing all these things, Krithli wanted to get going.
Krithli opened her mouth. “My Dungeon Master, I have something to tell you.”
“What is it?”
Krithli raised her light purple eyes and looked at me. “My body is not normal. I drank Elixir, but it is getting worse again. I can probably go for another few months and then my body will be as cold as ice…I do not think that I can follow your order, Dungeon Master.”
She was correct.
Elixir was only a temporary solution and could not fully cure the curse for good. Krithli was born with the deadly curse and even Elixir, the potion of heavens, could only do so much.
All that Elixir could do was extend Krithli’s life for a few more months.
I did not know that Krithli would say this at this moment, so I asked her, “Why don’t you ask for help from me? I am a Dungeon Master and I can get Elixir at my will.”
Then Krithli shook her head. “I know that is asking for a lot. Even if you do get a lot of Elixir, it cannot fully cure me. In addition, don’t you also disapprove of holding the ceremony, Dungeon Maser? I had always dreamed about holding the ceremony with my future partner. However, ever since I have known of my curse, I gave up on my dream. The ceremony will only make the other half miserable…Julium must have told you about me and what I have gone through. I cannot follow your orders and meet your expectations.”
“If you do not follow my order, I will kill the rest of Dark Elves. I only spared them because of you.”
I tried to see what she was thinking.
She seemed to accept the situation and looked sullen. “If it is fate…”
I frowned at Krithli, who looked as though she had given up everything.
Was she so down because her hope, Elixir, turned out to be a failure?
I did not like her attitude toward death. She had a different attitude from me. I had always tried to survive even in the worst situations like cockroaches, and others gave me a nickname of ‘bugs.’
Krithli, who saw my face, went on, “Dungeon Master. We are also from the magic world. There, power is everything. I know about this fact to my bones, and I am very grateful for the mercy that you have shown to us. Julium tried to hide me on purpose. If it were other monsters, they would have chopped off Julium’s head to set an example and then raped me. Although you made the Dark Elves act like dogs, you did not kill them after all. You also decided to give me Elixir and hold the ceremony as you promised. I am very grateful for your help and will give you the best I can.”
Krithtli seemed impressed by my treatment of the Dark Elves.
Surely, if it were some other monsters, they would have chopped off the Dark Elves’ heads and not kept their promises. Monsters could be very cruel to the weak.
I was able to see differently. Using the Eyes of Mind, I could see the potential of others and therefore acted differently from other monsters.
A large potential could transform the weak into the strong.
The weak with large potentials could be feeble at the moment. However, once their potentials blossomed, they could be a great help to me in the future.
Knowing this fact, I could be generous to the weak with large potentials.
Krithli, who was standing in front of me, was a good example of that.
If it were not for Krithli and Krathra, Julium would have been dead already. I would also not make a fuss by forcing the Dark Elves to behave like dogs.
I grinned and opened my mouth. “Why are you going to pay me back? Wouldn’t your life come to an end after five or six months at the most?”
“If you ask me to, I can even go into the fire smiling. I am very determined even though my body is getting cold and fading away. You do not need to hold the ceremony. Do as you wish.”
For Dark Elves, the ceremony of companionship was the most glorious event in their lives.
Krithli was even willing to give up the ceremony.
She sure was determined to sacrifice herself until the last breath.
However, I still did not like the way that she accepted the coming of death.
I kept on thinking anyways…
‘She could go into the fire smiling, if I ask her.’
For now, it was enough to hear that from Krithli, a proof of loyalty.
I needed to correct Krithli’s attitude on accepting death.
I did not want Krithli to be accepting the certain death so hopelessly, but rather wanted her to attempt resisting it.
Phew!
I forcefully laid down Krithli and ripped apart the thin silk clothes that she was wearing.
Then Krithli’s fine breasts and curvy body appeared before me.
However, she did not resist at all. She was going to accept anything that I would do to her.
Looking straight into Krithli’s eyes, I spoke to her. “I will save you and you will have to live just for me.”
Today was the full moon.
The yin mana was most abundant today.
Krithli’s body was responding to the abundant yin mana. The mana of Dark Elf Hayer, existing in Krithli’s body, was gradually increasing.
The amount of mana was still not enough to compare to the mana of Jinma dragon. However, the mana of Hayer increased and balanced the two manas a little bit better.
My achievement of Lightning God Power reached level seven. The amount of electrical power that I possessed also reached 64 million watts. Of course, I could not compare what I had to real lightning. However, if transmitted through skin, my skill could be as strong as actual lightning.
I started to inject some of the Lightning God Power into different parts of Krithli while laying my hands on her. I wanted to find out the locations of blocked veins and increase the pulse of yin mana a little bit more.
‘I need to penetrate the blocked veins first.’
Hot mana flowed through one’s body via the circulating blood. On the other hand, cold mana tended to merge into one location. The veins that the mana traveled through also differed slightly from person to person.
For Krithli’s case, an extremely large amount of yin mana merged at nine different places in her body, creating a trouble for her health.
I wanted to pierce the blocked veins first and widen them. I could take care of the merged clumps of yin mana by rubbing them with lightning power. Hopefully, doing so would not cause any further problems.
‘Lightning god, it is your time to shine.’
It was the name for the snake in the energy center. The snake’s name was lightning god.
The lightning god wriggled annoyingly and moved into Krithli’s body through my hands.
Krithli, who was watching me silently, felt that something was coming into her body through the buzzing feeling and opened her eyes wide.
“Be patient. You must not make any noise.”
“…!!”
Boom!
At that very moment, the lightning god with 64 million watt power arrived at the first gate.
When it arrived at the blocked vein, it suddenly charged his head towards the blockage.
Krithli’s body trembled. She clenched her fists and struggled not to scream. Her left hand was scratching the floor and she curled her ten toes. Krithli also bent her body like a bow and was sweating badly. However, she did not make any noise.
‘It is very hard.’
I became nervous, too.
The shock from the lightning god could not penetrate the blockage.
I had to break through the first gate today, otherwise, Krithli’s body could not hold longer.
If I could not finish the job today, I had to wait another month until the next full moon.
Dark Elf Hayer opened her eyes on the full moon’s day when the yin mana was so rich!
Today was a very good opportunity to do this job because there was less influence of Jinma dragon’s mana.
I wanted to at least finish the first stage today…
“It will not be easy. Hold on tight and never let go.”
I was not used to whispering sweet words to someone else. All I could do was tell her to be patient and hold on tight.
Krithli bit her lips tightly and nodded.
The lightning god seemed furious and shook his tail violently.
Boom!
A turbulent storm passed by once more.
Krithli twisted her body even more out of the excruciating pain. However, I did not let go of her.
It was also not safe for me to inject energies into someone else’s body.
If the mana that I was injected got reflected from Krithli’s body, I could have also gotten hurt. That could happen if I took the lightning god from Krithli’s body at that moment.
My eyes grew more serious.
Since I started, I had no choice but to push until the end.
Krithli could not stay conscious.
The excruciating pain beyond imagination was throbbing continuously, and Krithli wanted to let go of herself.
She thought she had gotten used to pain, but the pain that she felt on that day was different from what she felt on other days. Krithli felt as though thousands of needles were striking her body.
Despite the pain, the Dungeon Master asked her to be patient.
She could not even make any noise.
To be honest, Krithli did not know what the man in front of her was up to.
He said he would save her, and she decided to let him do whatever he wanted to do.
In the past, Krithli had been hopeful at some point.
Many had attempted to save her life.
Every single one of them failed.
Elixir was the only hope that she had, and it turned out that Elixir was only a temporary solution.
Krithli had gotten used to the mindset of easily giving up since her childhood. When Elixir turned out to be a failure, she calmly accepted that ‘as usual.’ Elder Julium and her brother Krathra hoped that Elixir would work, but she was not expecting much.
The less expectation one had, the less disappointed he or she became if things did not work out.
She did not even tell the two that her health was declining again even after Elixir made it better momentarily. Krithli hated the twos’ sympathy on her.
However, this man…at least he did not seem to pity her.
How could she describe him?
The Dungeon Master seemed rather calm as though he knew everything about what was going on.
Krithli first thought that he was making excuses to be intimate with her. If he were a monster, he could have simply done what he wanted and slept with her. However, the Dungeon Master did not refrain from saying sweet words, such as holding the ceremony and trying to save her life.
She did not expect much and thought it would be impossible to save her life…however, she was determined to use the rest of her life for the Dungeon Master because he spared the lives of other Dark Elves and gave her Elixir.
‘Can I survive?’ Suddenly, a thought like this popped up in her mind.
She could not get used to the pain, but the monster in front of her was more serious than ever.
Boom!
“…!!”
There was a saying about pain.
Pain was proof that one was alive.
Krithli was so used to giving up. However, she somehow focused on the other sensation that she could feel with the pain.
The more painful her body became, the more alive it felt, too. She felt as though every single cell of hers was reviving.
Aah!
Boom!
She wondered if she was mistaken.
The shock was not painful.
Rather, it brought a terrible feeling of pleasure.
Her cheeks turned red and the blood started to circulate more quickly. The fresh feeling of being alive, which she had never felt before, was throbbing in her body.
Krithli became confident.
The curses on her body have been lifted a little bit!
‘Will I be able to survive?’ She asked a question to the monster in her mind.
Krithli had many dreams to pursue, but her weak body did not let her.
She asked if what she dreamed in the past could be possible.
Krithli felt great joy and burning hopes. Then she became unconscious.
The full moon rose.
They ended up spending a month in this closed space, where the moon shed light.
Krithli changed a lot during that time.
Her pale and bloodless face looked much healthier. Furthermore, her presence had a kind of dignity which was not there before.
Krthli also gained some weight and become more beautiful than ever.
She became very lively. It was almost impossible to imagine that she was ready to accept death at one point in the past.
She got better because of the two types of mana, one of Jinma dragon and the other of Dark Elf Hayer, harmonized.
Krithli, who was still naked, smiled gently at me.
Soon she approached me and rubbed my heart. Then she opened her mouth and caressed the center of my chest with her tongue.
She engraved a blood vessel at the center of my chest with her tongue. Her tongue was a brush and the blood spilled by the biting of her tongue was ink. Krithli was serious as though she was painting a picture on my chest.
If it were some other time, Krithli must have pricked her finger and used that blood. However, it was different today. It was the end of it all.
The ceremony should have been slightly different.
Krithli engraved many new blood vessels in my body.
Everything was made of her blood, and it was done that way for the ceremony.
Feeling the warmth from the middle of my chest, I opened the Eyes of Mind.
Name: Krithli.
Job: None
Title:

Krithli has the title the successor of the blood of the Jinma dragon (Epic, Intelligence and Mana+6)
Kithli’s other title is the one who is guarded by the Moon (Ex U, Mana+8)

Statistics:
Strength 23 Intelligence 94 (+6)
Agility 21 Power 27 Mana 46 (+14)
Potential (211+20/478)
Special note: Krithli has the blood of both Jinma dragon and Dark Elf Hayer Sheila flowing in her veins. She therefore has immense potential, perhaps no upper limit.
Skill: None
[Before and after comparison]
Force 19 Intelligence 100 Agility 21 Health point 1 Mana 34 Potential (176+3/478)
Force 23 Intelligence 100 Agility 21 Health point 27 Mana 60 Potential (211+20/478)
Krithli’s health point and mana increased by very large values.
Though her physical abilities were still weak, even such a small increases were an astonishing growth compared her to her previous physical abilities.
I had also undergone a change.
Technically I did not change, but the lightning god did.
I shook my head somewhat in a bittersweet fashion and opened the status window.
Name: Randalph Bruciel
Job: Duke of Magic (Dungeon Master)
Title:

Randalph Bruciel has the title of Unrelenting Warrior (Ex U, All abilities +2)
He also has the title of the first person to receive the blessings of fairy (U, Mana+6)

Statistics:
Strength 79 (+9) Intelligence 64 (+2)
Agility 74 (+2) Health point 80 (+2) Mana 82 (+8)
Potential (379+23/500)
Electrical power: 64MW
Special note: Randalph had transplanted the heart of Hell lord. However, he had not fully opened the full power of it. The lightning god inside of Randalph absorbed a huge amount of mana and was going through changes. The results were unpredictable.
Skill: Skill combination (R), Eyes of Mind (Ex U), Lightning God Power (?), Anger (Epic)
No ability increased, nor did I get another title.
The damned snake, or lightning god, swallowed all of the mana that was coming from Krithli, which was the mana of Jinma dragon and Dark Elf Hayer.
After swallowing, the snake had been lying motionlessly in the nest under my belly button.
Thanks to the lightning god, I got three question marks for the Lightning God Power.
I had never experienced a situation like this before, and I could not predict what would happen.
“Take these.” I stopped thinking and took out the Book of Necromancer and the Wand of Death from my magic pocket. I then handed the items to Krithli.
Krithli finished engraving the last blood vessels in my chest and received the items that I handed her. She then shook her head out of curiosity.
“Dungeon Master, what are these?”
“The book is for the job and the skill that you will get and learn. And you will use the wand as well.”
Krithli, who grasped my intentions at once, said with much strength, “…I’ll do my best to learn everything.”
“You need to get some rest first before you try to learn anything. Do you know how to learn these?”
“Yes, I have made a contract with the Spirit of Dark and I have studied these before.”
I did not have to babysit her for every detail, and it was very convenient.
Krithli was very quick to notice, perhaps because she had always been so weak since she was born.
I had not spoken for a month in this place, but Krithli figured out my intentions and made her moves. After we made it through the first stage, Krithli was treating me with a completely different attitude.
She had hope that she could survive!
The hope of breaking free from curses had completely changed Krithli.
In addition, she seemed to have figured out everything about my personality and preferences. Since the first day, Krithli had never done anything against me.
‘It is time to get out of here.’
It was time to get out of the dungeon and go back to the guild.
I had been away for over a month, so I was sure that people had been making rumors about my absence.
‘I do not know how the lightning god and the Lightning God Power changed…’
I shrugged my shoulders.
It was what it was.
It did not seem that the lightning god would ever throw the mana it absorbed back out.
I could only hope that the mana would change the lightning god in a positive way.
Krithli’s cheeks turned red.
The ceremony was not over.
There still was the last part remaining, which was union.
Krithli carefully laid the Book of Necromancer and Wand of Death by her side and nodded.
She was ready for the last part of the ceremony.
I grabbed Krithli by her wrist and pulled her roughly toward me.
Then I kissed her lips as though I was going to swallow them.
A day passed by after the ceremony.
I left the dungeon.
Next to me was Krathra.
“Dungeon Master, may I join you?” Krathra asked me under the intense sunlight.
The magic earrings hid the sharp ears of the Dark Elf. At first glance, he would not look any different from a man with dark skin.
In addition, the earring could automatically translate different languages. I thought that accompanying Krathra would not be a big problem.
“Krithli told me that you used to teach other Dark Elves. ”
Krathra nodded at my question. “You are correct. I taught a few Dark Elves about the basic swordsmanship, spear usage, fighting monsters, and so on.”
“I will assign you the same tasks. You will teach the men who are under my commands.”
No one had ever taught me before, so I was a terrible teacher. In order to teach the coming awakened heroes, including Yoo Eunhye, I needed a talented teacher to instruct these newcomers on my behalf.
I chose Krathra for that job.
On top of that, Kratha would be a good member of the attacking squads.
Krathra did not have anything to do in the dungeon. I wanted him to get some work done in this way.
Krathra opened his eyes wide. He then clapped out loud as though he had a moment of epiphany. “Teaching humans, Master? Is that for fun?”
“It is something similar.”
Right now, I could only see teaching humans as amusement.
Humans were too primitive and feeble.
Krathra’s eyes were shining. “I see. I will try not to disturb Dungeon Master’s fun time.”
After I cured Krithli, I started to look at the Dark Elves differently.
For them, Krithli was the incarnation of Dark Elves.
The presence of Krithli was very special, like faith!
Krithli herself was faith to the Dark Elves.
That could explain some things about the Dark Elves.
The Dark Elves forgot about my commanding them to act like dogs. Instead, they decided to obey me and follow my commands.
Krathra was the same as other Dark Elves.
His true role was guarding and escorting Krithli.
Krathra cared about Krithli more than he did about his brother. He sure was very glad that Krithli was fully cured.
In fact, Krathra mimicked dogs the best after I told him that I would save Krithli if he did his job well.
Krithli was so important to Krathra that he could let go of the self-esteem of a warrior to save Krithli.
If saving Krithli was not important, Krathra would have rather chosen death instead of mimicking dogs.
Krathra was now very clear about his stance.
I gave him a passing remark: “From now on, just call me Master.”
“As you wish, Master.”
The two soon started to climb down the mountain.
