Chapter 31: Episode 8. Auction of Devildom – 1 – (5)
‘It has come out…!’
There was a terrible sense of helplessness, but I ignored it.
Now that I’d found this item, my gamble was a complete success.
This item was of epic grade. In addition to that, this item was one of a collection.
The more one obtained items that were part of a collection, the more powerful he or she could become. When one collected all seven items in the collection, he or she would possess a tremendous power that would dare to compare to any items of legend grade.
In the chain of grades leading to normal, rare, unique, epic, and legend, possessing an item anything equal to or above an epic grade was the most powerful that one could become.
Even in my previous life, I only had two items of legend grade. Unfortunately, it was more difficult to get items of higher grades than obtain skills of higher grades.
Even out of items of high grades, those that were marked ‘Set’, which meant they were parts of a collection, were even rarer than others.
I could not imagine how wonderful it would be to get all of the items in a collection that was in legend grade. Collecting all of them would be a dream that anyone would have dreamed of.
If one collected all of the items in a collection, the items would be as valuable as the items of one or two grades above.
If I could collect all the items in the seven sins collection, I would not have to worry about looking for better items and armors.
I shivered weakly.
Krathra and Krithli were like valuable gems but unrefined.
It would take much time to refine Krathra and Krithli.
However, this item–Anger–had already been completed. It also had the potential to be even more complete and perfect.
In addition, this item would be used to reinforce myself and my abilities. I was more delighted by my increasing strength than commanding my subordinate monsters or increasing the number of my allies.
‘I guess I am indeed a born warrior.’
A warrior proved his worth by fighting his enemies. It was natural that a warrior would be attached to the armor that he or she would wear.
My eyes deepened as I looked at Anger.
‘Being a bait, I made others spend quite a lot of points in the auction so far. I now believe that there are at most two people who have more than 200,000 points.’
I had done my job of being a bait faithfully until the 21st round of auction.
As a result, I succeeded in emptying a total of 2.57 million points, except for the points that I used to buy Krathra and Krithli.

I turned my eyes and looked at the side hall.
There were only two monsters who used more than 200,000 points and had participated in the auction so far.
Even if there was one monster per camp, there were at most two monsters who had more points.

Although she did not have many points left in her hands, she still participated in this round of the auction. Her actions showed that she was quite good at recognizing the true values of sealed items.
‘What she has is not skills. It is purely a good insight. Ariel Diablo is a weapon master. She could even identify a sealed item.’
What she was doing was in the realm of gut feeling. I was amazed by her abilities of identifying sealed items.

“Archduke Ufa, sure. It is now up to 70,000 points. The price is going up very quickly!’
The problem with this round was that as Archduke Ariel participated, her enemy, Archduke Ufa, also participated. I wanted to take this round easily, but an expected competition started.
Of course, the two were staring at each other, and they were not paying attention to me at all. However, I could not give up the round now because I’d found out that this item was a part of the collection and was of epic grade.

The two finally realized that it was not the best time for fighting, and their eyes turned towards me. Of course, they did not look at me for a good reason.
However, Archduke Ariel had already reached her limit. She had spent 50,000 points in previous rounds and did not have many points to begin with in the first place. Archduke Ufa was in a similar situation and did not have too many points to spend. He was only throwing a fearful glance at me.
What about me?
I had many points to spend.
Of course, I had a lot more points to spend compared to Archduke Ariel and Archduke Ufa.
“We will count down now, 3,2,1! Congratulations. Mr. Randalph takes this item!”
Devorong clapped his hands.
From this moment on, Anger was my weapon.
In the following rounds of the auction, I was able to purchase six more items.
I spent 650,000 points on various items. The items included one skill book of unique grade, which was called ‘Brain God Power’, a ring of unique grade called ‘Paranormal’, a potion of agility, a collection item of exceptionally unique grade called ‘Wand of Death’, an item of rare grade called ‘Flower of Eternity’, and finally an entire village of Dark Elves.
Following is the comprehensive list of all of the items that I purchased throughout the auction.
Name – Brain God Power (U)
Description: The book provides ways to become Brain God. If the reader learns up to 12 stars, he or she can use lightning at his or her will.
Name – Paranormal (U)
Description: It is a ring that gives one of the five blessings at random. The five blessings are all abilities increased by +2 for an hour, recovering, mana increase +5 for half an hour, strong charm, and infinite power. The user may obtain one of the blessings once every day.
Name – a potion of agility
Description: Drinking this potion will increase the agility by 1 permanently.
Name – Wand of Death(Ex U, Set)
Description: The King of Death used this wand. He transformed death into a form of art, and his work in this item is stained with fear.

This item increases the user’s mana by +4. It also allows the user to employ undead manufacturing (U) skills and make items belong to him or her.

Name – Flower of Eternity (R)
Description: It is a beautiful flower that blooms forever without water. The flower makes the surrounding landscape more beautiful than it was before.
The last thing that I gained from this auction was a village of the Dark Elves. I could not provide many details about this because it was not a single item like others. This village was a small village with a total of 50 Dark Elves.
An adult Dark Elf could show the strength equivalent to that of an intermediate monster at level 3.
I could purchase the elves at a store that sold miscellaneous items. However, the price offered in the auction was much cheaper, and I could not miss such an opportunity to save some of my valuable points.
Out of all the stuff that I bought, I planned on using Brain God Power, Paranormal, and the potion of agility.
In particular, potions that permanently raised the abilities of the user were extremely expensive. Therefore, I purchased such items when opportunities were presented. I would save them for now and use them when I was stuck in a wall in the future.
The Wand of Death seemed to produce a great synergy with the Book of Necromancer, which I had obtained a long time ago in the past. A necromancer dealt with death, and I was confident that using this wand with the book would definitely have some positive effects.
I intended to hand these two, the Wand of Death and the Book of Necromancer, over to Krithli.
I hoped that with her high intelligence and huge potential, along with these two items that I would hand over, she would become the best necromancer of all time. If she grew up a little bit more and her abilities got even better, I could make her a stewardess, looking over this dungeon on my behalf.
In fact, there was nothing like a job dealing with death that matched the Dungeon Master.
Everything was perfect to make Krithli a stewardess.
I thought about possible uses of the Flower of Eternity… I purchased this item at the price of 3,000 points. Sure enough, I gave this item to Lyhee. Where would I use flowers besides on Lyhee? This flower was my first gift ever to Lyhee. I thought Lyhee’s response to my giving her this flower would be quite funny and interesting.

I got all of the items above from the auction using points.
However, there was something else I gained from using points.
An Easter Egg appeared again, which I myself could not predict.

I laughed out loud after the auction was over.
I got everything I wanted, and I was satisfied that the results of the auction that were beyond my expectations.
The Easter Egg that I got was of grade 7, which was far less than the egg of grade 3 that gave me the heart of Hell Lord. However, the reward was not too bad. The fact that I could increase my ability whenever I wanted was great news to find out.
If a net ability exceeded 90, it was very difficult to raise that ability by 1. At that time, the potion of agility or the residual ability would play an important role in expanding the boundaries and further increasing the ability.
“Stop.”
It was when I barely came out of a spacious hall in the auction house that I heard someone trying to stop me.
Marquis Groggy stopped me.
He belonged to monsters who filled the entire dungeon with Succubus and were completely eliminated.
I could guess why he, who was very close to Archduke Ufa, showed up in front of me.
I was sure that he showed up because they lost all the good items in the auction. If it were not this reason, he showed up because he was curious about collecting points and wanted to find out how.
I simply ignored Groggy and kept walking. Him approaching me implied that either the count or the archduke let him do so. There was no need to care about him at all.

I caught the spear with my hands.

Filled with anger, Groggy tried to move his spear, but he could not move it an all.
“You sucker! Let it go! You will regret it!”
“Regret? That is what you are going to do.”
“Give me the Wand of Death. The wand is too valuable for a bugger like you to use. There is someone who suits the wand much better than you do. You would better happily hand the wand over to me so that I can give it to him.”
I supposed that he tried to provoke me because of the Wand of Death.
“You dare call me a bugger…”
I laughed bitterly.
In other words, he wanted to call me a bug.
I never thought that I would hear the same word in this life.
I summoned a sword while I kept holding Groggy’s spear with my hand.
I pulled the spear strongly in that position and cut off Groggy’s left arm with the summoned sword.
“Kaaaaah!”
“You do not seem to understand what is going on.”
I cut Groggy’s arm in a blink of an eye.
Groggie’s abilities fall far short of mine.
Groggy, being a strong monster, did not fall to the ground, but he looked at me with his eyes filled with malice.
“You look like a bugger to me. I mean, you know, I can smash your back by slightly stepping on you.”
I smiled coldly and tried to cut off the other arm.
It would never be too late to kill after I returned to earth, but if I tried to kill a monster here, then my relationship with Devorong, which I had sacrificed so much to establish, could be destroyed.

Just as I was about to strike with the sword, a black sphere passed through the space in between.
The sphere got stuck in the ground and began to absorb the surrounding ground. Whether the manipulator controlled the power or whether he or her not yet familiar with his or her skills, the black sphere could not absorb too quickly and strongly. However, I would not be surprised if a building got blown away by using that skill with the maximum power possible.
The skill coming out from the black sphere definitely seemed familiar to me.
There was an overwhelming presence of something that I could sense from all possible directions at the same time!
“The child was hurt, so the parents came.”
I shrugged my shoulders while still holding my sword in my hands.
