Dungeon Hunter - Chapter 214
Chapter 214: Chapter 67. The Ark (1)
“…?”
The silver knight paused for a moment. He could not fathom that an archduke like Randalf would have to go and get honey water by himself. The knight thought that Randalf could easily order one of his subordinates to bring it to him or something even better.
The silver knight also did not understand what the word “Lyhee-hee” meant. He frowned, confused.
When Lyhee saw that the knight was puzzled, the fairy immediately realized her mistake and tried to make up for it.
“Hmm…hmm… What I was trying to say was that I wanted to visit Lyhee, my lovely fairy.”
“Lovely?” the knight repeated.
The silver knight noticed that the ‘archduke’ was acting unusual, and he was beginning to doubt him.
Archduke Randalf Bruciel had received so much attention recently, and he was notorious for being manipulative. The silver knight suspected that a demon with a strong persona such as Randalf would use a word like ‘lovely’.
However, Lyhee did not seem to care about the knight’s reaction.
The fairy then went on, “Lyhee works hard and is very obedient. She is…the best fairy ever.”
“Okay,” the knight replied, side-eyeing Lyhee.
The silver knight took a step back, as though he did not have anything else to say. He wanted to keep his distance from Randalf.
“Then I will inform Ariel Diablo that Archduke Randalf Bruciel left for his lovely dungeon fairy, Lyhee, to get some honey water with her.”
The silver knight was being sarcastic, but the fairy did not get that. Instead, Lyhee shut her mouth and nodded. When the knight saw this, he was surprised. He wasn’t expecting it from a renowned archduke.
“Do you really want me to tell Ariel that?”
Lyhee blankly stared at the silver knight, and the knight could not say anything more.
He seemed to think that there must be a reason why Randalf Bruciel, such a powerful archduke, was acting strange.
The knight was surprised because Randalf acted in a completely different way from what he had been.
Randalf Bruciel had always been one of the most charismatic demons.
The silver knight even suspected that such an awkward attitude was part of his strategy.
Lyhee did not have second thoughts, and she only wanted to compliment herself as her master. However, the silver knight had no idea that this Randalf in front of him was a fake. He was fooled.
Soon, the knight nodded and left.
When Lyhee saw that the knight was gone, she smiled.
Lyhee laughed, satisfied with her disguise. She was proud of herself for having coped with a crisis wisely, and convincingly—or so she thought.
However, the fairy had not foreseen how Ariel Diablo would react to the knight’s message.

The little angel with many wings was looking down on Earth from the sky. On top of the angel’s head was a crown made of leaves and a veil. Many angels were surrounding this small angel, fighting with the demons.
Despite the fierce battle, the little angel was calm. She looked like Cupid and appeared elegant at the same time.
The little angel’s name was Hashi, a cherub.
Hashi was leading and commanding all of the angels in the world. Although she was not familiar with tactics, other angels had helped her prepare strategies.
The little angel was very young, but she was the most outstanding among the others.
“Unit 93 was destroyed by Ufa Blennon.”
“Unit 77 is currently fighting with Ariel Diablo. I will assemble other units nearby.”
“Unit 33…”
Fights broke out from various places, but angels did a good job in reporting the statuses of the battles and sending out commands to units. Next to Hashi were many angels of commanding ranks, giving out orders to the units in the frontline.
All Hashi had to do was confirm the orders as the top commander.
Even though the little angel could not speak, her intentions could reach other angels through their hearts.
“Miss Hashi…”
Opinion, an ophanim, approached Hashi. The angel had large wings and appeared quite serious.
When Hashi looked at him, Opinion continued to speak, “We are losing. I would like to lead the units myself and destroy the demons.”
As Opinion reported, angels were losing. Ariel Diablo and Ufa Blennon were particularly difficult adversaries. The two archdukes were slaughtering angels, and they were indestructible.
Should the battle continued like this, they would only lose more angels. If an angel as strong as an ophanim joined the fight, their fate in this battle might change.
In addition, Opinion was strong enough to combat archdukes.
Hashi closed her eyes. The angel was born not long ago, but she could absorb information much faster than anyone else. Despite the short life that she had lived, the angel had already learned all about battles, life and death, and the important qualities of a leader.
The Celestial World had high-ranking angels, and, out of all these angels, there were only three cherubim. Hashi was one of them. Outranking the cherubim were only seraphs and the King of Heaven.
There were only two seraphs and one King of Heaven. In addition, there were only five ophanims, including Opinion. Hashi was one of the few outstanding angels of the Celestial World, and the angel could learn faster than other angels.
Despite the talent, Hashi lacked experience. She was in the middle of a battle where she could not afford to make any mistake.
The angel needed to make a decision.
She knew that she must eliminate as many demons and monsters as possible.
And that was the order that her master, Randalf Bruciel, had given her.
Sending out Opinion to the battlefield would be the worst move possible. The angel had to stay alive until the final moment and lead the other angels. Opinion was lower in rank but was more experienced than Hashi when it came to battles.
However, the little angel did not have any other options.
She then opened her eyes.
Angels awaited Hashi’s command. She then ordered them to use the ark.

After Archduke Ufa had left, Yoo Eunhye and her company could speed up a little more.
The path to the destination was challenging and long, but the awakened hero and her teammates would not give up so long as they had hopes.
Yoo Eunhye then thought about not being able to accomplish the task at hand.
If they failed in this mission, the bomb, which they were carrying, would be wasted. A better use of it would be killing Ufa and his demons before they all died.
When such a thought struck the awakened hero, Yoo Eunhye started to regret a bit.
They just saw the archduke and his demons fighting against the angels, and it was a great chance for them to eliminate the archduke and his company with the bomb.
Neither the archduke nor any of his demons noticed the team’s presence.
Had they detonated the bomb, it would have not only killed Ufa and his demons, but also all of the team. However, eliminating an archduke was worth the sacrifice.
‘No, I can’t let go of the hope for an archduke,’ Yoo Eunhye thought.
Whenever she started to regret, the awakened hero pulled herself together.
The team occasionally ran into demons and angels who were on surveillance, but such encounters did not raise any concerns. The demons were weak, and the angels did not strike humans first.
“At this pace, we will arrive at our destination. Our goal is to plant this bomb at the designated spot and return to our base as fast as we can. We leave no one behind,” Yoo Eunhye, standing in front, spoke to the team. She had already reminded her team about these points multiple times in the past.
One might say the team was almost there, but the remaining three hours would be hell.
Not only will the team be surrounded by enemies, but some of them were also much more powerful than the entire team’s skills combined.
If they were unlucky and got caught by scouts, the entire team could get wiped out, too.
Despite the challenges, Yoo Eunhye continued to encourage her teammates.
The awakened hero told the team that they could successfully complete the mission and that they were carrying mankind’s hope.
Without such encouraging words, the team would have suffocated because of pressure.
The demons were so powerful that the team was awed when they saw their enemies. In particular, every one in the team remembered when Ufa single-handedly wiped out the angels. The team felt that the archduke was beyond their league because of his overwhelming power.
“Wait… What is that?”
“What’s that?”
Some of the team members suddenly stopped. They were shocked at what they had seen. Even Yoo Eunhye was taken aback when she saw it.
What the team saw was floating in the air.
It was quite far from the team, but it was so large that everyone could clearly see it.
“It…it’s…it’s an ark,” Kim Youra spoke, her eyes widened in surprise.
What the team saw was an ark, which was floating in the air.
It looked like any other arks, except its size was so large that it almost covered the sun.
‘I hope it is not a bad omen,’ Yoo Eunhye thought.
The awakened hero barely stopped sighing. She then prayed that the ark was not a bad sign of any sort.
The team had encountered many unexpected events, and Yoo Eunhye was concerned if they could ever reach the destination safely.
Ufa, who was violently ripping apart an angel’s wings, looked at the sky.
“Well, that looks interesting.”
The archduke laughed wildly. He was getting bored with hunting angels. He wanted to fight a challenging enemy, but he could only find weak angels.
His enemies were trying to exhaust him by pitting him against weak angels. Although the archduke knew their intention, he fell for their trap on purpose.
Ufa thought that if he continued to destroy weak angels, he would eventually fight the stronger ones.
And…it seemed that the real enemies, whom he wanted to fight, appeared.
“Let’s move towards the ark. I will conquer it.”
Some of the Cerberus with black wings were carrying flags. On the flags was depicted Blennon, the Giant Castle, which was Ufa’s symbol.
Ufa and his hundreds of thousands of monsters proceeded towards the ark.
The archduke was constantly smiling.
Ufa liked that ark, and he wanted to get it without destroying it.
Although angels had built the ark, Ufa believed that he could use it as an alternative to Blennon, which he did not have at the moment.
The thought of planting his flag at the center of the ark excited Ufa.
“Hmm…”
<hr />
Ariel Diablo was resting from hunting.
She had fought with only weak angels so far.
Such a huge difference in skill and power between the archduke and her enemies made Ariel lose interest in the battle.
As a result, she stopped fighting and was watching Ufa hunt angels. Then came an elegant ark in the sky.
Ariel Diablo raised her Ivory Sword.
When the archduke lifted her sword, a blurry skeleton armor appeared around her. The skeleton armor surrounded Ariel’s body, and it had a long tail behind it.
Ariel then wore a skeleton helm, which looked like a shrunk dragon’s head. The archduke was now in command of the mana around her.
“Let’s go. If that’s the angels’ ark, we must destroy it.”
“…”
Behind her were silver nights getting in formation.
They did not speak with words but with their actions.
Then Ariel kicked the ground and quickly disappeared, creating dusty winds.
