Dungeon Hunter - Chapter 123
Chapter 123: Episode 35. Lyhee’s Bizarre Adventure (2)
Lyhee swallowed her saliva. Her sword-holding hands trembled.
She remembered a random door had appeared, and then she was dragged in through it. After that, what she saw was this ridiculous place. She could not help but be surprised.
She hid behind a pink bush, whispering, “M-Master? Where are you guys? Are you messing with Lyhee…?”
There was no Master. There was only a pink unicorn.
“Neigh—!”
It did not look like a normal unicorn; its tongue hung out and its ears were pricked up. It suddenly rolled all over the ground because it chewed its own tongue while eating grass. It looked like a unicorn with some kind of mental illness.
“I-if I get caught by that insane unicorn, Lyhee would be in trouble. L-Lyhee should hide here and watch the situation. Master told me, uh, dive gently under the stones? W-wait, no. It doesn’t sound right. What was it?”
She was in a state of panic. She tried to think about other things to avoid reality. Time passed, but the pink unicorn was still there. Moreover, the cookie-shaped sun was not setting.
“Ok. Let’s count to a hundred. The unicorn may move by then. One, two, three… ninety-nine… one, two, three…”
She repeatedly counted till ninety-nine, about a hundred times. Finally, the unicorn started to move.
“Neigh—!”
It peed. It peed all over the place. It was bursting like a fountain, the pee even splattered its own body.
“Lyhee knew it! That unicorn is out of its mind! Huh. It is bigger than the Master’s. But the Master had two big weapons and now he has three! So overall, Lyhee’s Master is a winner! Lyhee-hee.”
Lyhee clapped as she compared their appendages. Lyhee showed a strong interest in anything related to her Master.
However, the fun did not last long.
Lyhee became tired quickly since she was hiding from the crazy unicorn in an unknown place. She was too exhausted, and soon, she started to fall asleep.
“Sob. Sob. Master, Lyhee misses you. Lyhee will do her best. Please, don’t abandon Lyhee… Yawn.”
Lyhee scratched her belly and started talking in her sleep.
In her dream, Lyhee was running through the flower garden while holding hands with Master. They laughed and smiled together. They seemed so happy.
“Master. Lyhee… actually… likes you!”
She made a small, pretty bouquet and handed it to Master. Master smiled as he received the bouquet and patted Lyhee’s head.
“Me, too, Lyhee. From the first time I saw you, I felt love for you.”
“Ah…! We were meant to be together from the beginning of the world,” Lyhee said happily.
“Even the gods could not tear our love apart. If I become Dark Lord, Lyhee, you are the only one who could sit next to me. Please, be with me forever. I will always be happy if you stay next to me and I can stroke your beautiful hair every day.”
“Lyhee is the same. Lyhee loves you stroking my head. Lyhee loves it more than anything in the world. Lyhee-hee. And, Master? Never scold Lyhee again, okay?”
“Yes, of course. I will also expand your garden. You can harass the bees as much as you want.”
“Lyhee-hee!”
“And that is not it. I will praise you ten times every day!”
“Lyhee-hee-hee!”
“And I will stroke your head a hundred times a day.”
“Lyhee-hee-hee-hee!”
She was happy. She wished this time would continue forever. However, there was one thing that troubled her mind.
“By the way, Master, why do you keep licking Lyhee’s cheek with your tongue?”
“…”
“Master? Uh? Why is your face turning pink…?”
“N-no!” Lyhee woke up screaming.
She widened her eyes. There was no pretty flower garden or Master whispering words of love.
“Pant, pant. Oh! It was a dream. Thank god. Master’s face didn’t change to pink.”
She was so surprised and sweat was pouring down her face. She wiped off the sweat with the back of her hand.
“What the…? Why is it so sticky?”
Somehow, her sweat was strangely sticky. She frowned and tried to figure out the reason. It was at that moment…
Whoosh.
She felt rough breathing next to her. Also, something licked her cheek.
“…”
Lyhee turned her head slightly to check and froze.
“Neigh!”
The pink unicorn stuck out its tongue halfway and was wildly waving its head.
“…”
“Neigh!”
The unicorn kept shaking its head left to right, up and down. It looked disgusting. It had a runny nose and there were tears on its face.
“Oh, no…”
“Neigh!”
Maybe her wings were wet because of the unicorn’s saliva, but she could not spread her wings. She could not fly.
Lyhee started to run with her two small feet for the lack of a better alternative. And then, the pink unicorn calmly followed her.
“Don’t follow me! Lyhee isn’t tasty!”
Lyhee was desperate as she wobbled through the pink bushes. After a while, Lyhee, who was getting exhausted, hardened her expression.
“I can’t do this forever. I will be eaten up by that pervert unicorn.”
Fortunately, she could not see the unicorn then, but she could tell it would catch up to her soon.
She still had an opportunity at the moment. Lyhee quickly looked around and found one spot.
“Let’s hide over there.”
At the bottom of a hill, there was a small cave in a blind spot. It was a place that was hard to find at first glance, so she thought it would be a good place to hide.
Lyhee quickly ran into the cave.
“Phew. That was hard. Lyhee has no strength to walk anymore.”
She leaned against the cave wall and massaged her feet with her cute little hands. She could not remember the last time she had run like this before. No, actually, it was her first time running since she had wings. She could just fly, rather than run.
After a short break, Lyhee stared at the inside of the cave.
“Huh. This is a weird-looking cave. There are lots of mushrooms, too.”
There were so many pink mushrooms, yet they all looked different, so Lyhee became curious.
“Lyhee needs to go further inside, just in case. Lyhee has to protect herself. Phew!”
Lyhee got up from the floor with difficulty and started to walk slowly. As she went deeper inside, the mushrooms seemed to get bigger and more varied.
After walking for about 30 minutes, she arrived at a wide-open space. In the heart of it, there was a giant mushroom, surrounded by other small mushrooms.
“Wow! This is so big! This is a king mushroom! Lyhee-hee.”
She quietly approached it and tapped the bottom. It was soft and squishy. Lyhee thought it was fun and kept poking it with her finger.
Rumble!
Soon, the cave shook because the giant mushroom started to move.
“Oh my God!”
Lyhee was startled and quickly stepped back. She lost her words as she saw eyes and a mouth appear in the center of the giant mushroom.
“What kind of stupid fairy invaded our Mushroom Kingdom? I, Mushroom, the king of the Mushroom Kingdom, will not forgive you!”
“Mushroom! Mushroom!”
“An Intruder. Mushroom.”
“Kill her. Mushroom.”
The small mushrooms around the giant mushroom also woke up.
“Wh-why are you doing this to Lyhee?”
The giant mushroom said, “Ha! An intruder shouldn’t talk! Die!”
“Mushroom! Mushroom!”
“Kill her. Mushroom!”
The small mushrooms surrounded her. Lyhee rubbed her hands together and begged, “Please, don’t kill me.”
“Mushroom! Mushroom!”
But it didn’t work at all.
“Master…”
Lyhee shut her eyes tight. She did not wish to stroll the flower garden with him anymore, but, for the last time, she really wanted to see his face.
It was at that moment.
“Neigh—!”
Prince Charming on a white horse—no, just a horse appeared. It was the unicorn!
It slaughtered the mushrooms with its horn and quickly came to Lyhee. It stood in front of her. Lyhee opened her eyes, saw no mushroom attacking her, and noticed the unicorn.
“The perverted unicorn?”
“Neigh—!”
“Did you come here to save Lyhee?”
“Neigh—!”
“Oh dear!”
Lyhee was touched. The unicorn that she had called crazy and perverted came to the cave to save her.
“Lyhee was wrong. You are such a good unicorn!”
“Neigh—!”
“Then, can you take Lyhee out of this cave?”
“Neigh.”
“What? No? Lyhee has to defeat all these mushrooms?”
“Neigh!”
“But Lyhee is weak…”
“Neigh!”
“What? Lyhee can do it? Oh, okay. Lyhee will try.”
She raised the Fairy Knight’s Sword. After a deep breath, Lyhee recalled Master’s movement.
He looked beautiful when he slaughtered enemies with his sword! She was ecstatic to even just think about it.
“Ha!”
Lyhee wielded the sword with a loud shout.
“I am sorry.”
The mushrooms were weak. The Mushroom King was also weak. He was big, but that was it. After she handled a few mushrooms, she poked the giant mushroom with her sword. Then, he groaned with pain and apologized.
“You must be the fairy of legend. You have the Fairy Knight’s Sword…”
“The fairy of legend? What is that?” Lyhee tilted her head.
The king went on, “There is a legend in our Mushroom Kingdom and the Cookie Kingdom. It says that a fairy holding the Fairy Knight’s Sword will appear to save the world from the Pink Queen.”
“Save the world from the Pink Queen? Lyhee can’t take such a huge mission.”
“D-don’t say that. You are our only hope! The Pink Queen caught my friends and turned them into ordinary mushrooms and cookies. Just thinking about it makes me cry.”
“But Lyhee can’t. Instead, why don’t you send Lyhee back to her original world? Lyhee will talk to her Master, then he will solve this problem very quickly.”
The king mushroom blinked its eyes.
“Your original world? Oh! Just as the legend says! You came from another world. The Pink Queen will know the answer to your problem.”
Lyhee cupped her chin like her Master. He always did so when he was deep in thought. However, she wasn’t able to find a solution like him. She could just copy his gesture.
“Do you think Lyhee can do it?”
“For now, it might be hard. But, if you wear the legendary arms of the Mushroom Kingdom and the Cookie Kingdom, you will have a chance. Besides, you already have the legendary unicorn! Victory is certain.”
“Neigh!”
The unicorn was still spinning its head. Honestly, it was disgusting. Saliva was splattering everywhere. She knew he was a good boy, but that was beside the point. Even Lyhee, who was usually impudent, could not watch it anymore.
Lyhee tried to ignore the unicorn and asked another question, “What is the Cookie Kingdom?”
The king of mushrooms sighed. “We are not getting along well these days, but it was our brotherhood kingdom; we used to hang out often before. After the Cookie King tried to fight against the Pink Queen and became the sun, they broke off diplomatic relations with us. All they do all day is watch the sun. Please save us both.”
“Mushroom! Mushroom!”
“Please! Mushroom!”
Thousands of mushrooms cried at once. They looked too pitiful to ignore.
She felt sorry that the king had become the sun and the cookies were watching him all day. It was like Lyhee’s own story. She also looked at her Master all day.
Swinging a sword was not too bad, and she had become more confident since she defeated the mushrooms. The word “legend” motivated her as well.
“So, Lyhee can go back after defeating the Pink Queen, right? Alright! Leave this to Lyhee!” Lyhee said confidently, thumping her chest.
