Dungeon Hunter - Chapter 113
Chapter 113: Episode 32. Infinity Armor (2)
Something unusual and unexpected happened in my dungeon. This was a very unpleasant case and therefore needed to be resolved as soon as possible.
I used the transportation magic square and arrived on the fifteenth floor. A few of my monsters laid defeated on the floor. It was as if a typhoon had swept the place. Someone with overwhelming power had turned the dungeon into a mess.
And when I found Griffin sprawled on the ground, I became anxious. Griffin was alive, thankfully, but there were wounds all over its body. I could only guess how strong the enemy was.
“I am glad that Griffin’s vitality is strong.”
There was a reason why it was the highest-level monster. It was poorly injured but still breathing faintly. I poured the Healing Potion onto serious wounds and left Griffin. I assumed that it could hold on for half a day while I solved the problem in hand.
“Infinite Flesh. Steane. What had he done?”
I tried to figure out what had happened. It surprising enough that the Infinite Flesh came back alive; it was even more surprising how Steane came across it and caused such a serious incidence.
There was only one way to find out. I had to check it personally. Shortly, I heard a thud, and the dungeon shook. The fight was happening nearby. I quickened my pace. Soon, I could see Gigantes vomiting blood.
“Huh…”
I could not believe that Gigantes, who was one of my best fighters, was losing the fight. I pondered about this. In front of Gigantes, Steane stood arrogantly, sporting a black armor.
It was very unusual armor. An angular, roaring snake was engraved on it, and the armor was releasing dark magic. It looked like it ate up all of Steane’s rationality. When I realized the armor was the cause, I opened the Mind’s Eye immediately.
Name – Infinity Armor (Berserk)
Description: Armor stained with infinite greed. The nucleus was awakened with the Tree of Origin, but because of the lack of skill of the blacksmith, the nucleus was not fully refined. To stop the Berserk status, it needed to be dismantled at once.

Shape recovery. It absorbs an attack and converts it into mana. It invalidates a blow that is below a certain level.

** It can substitute the sin of “Greed” as part of the Seven Sins.
This made me smile. I had no idea how he had done it, but the options were just wonderful. It could invalidate a certain level of attack, and it could even absorb an attack and changed it into mana. Depending on how I use it, I could use the skills infinitely.
It would be the best item to lead a long-term battle. Moreover, it could replace a Seven Sins item. So, if I used the Infinity Armor, it meant I would have three items of the set: Rage, Sloth, and Greed.
“Funny. This is very funny.”
The human party was not as funny as this. Things like these amused me greater. It was not in my plan, but depending on my decision, it could be either a big loss or a big gain. There would be no stimulus if I only walked on a set path. That would land me in a rut or get me eliminated. I did not want that.
Steane turned his body and looked at me. His red eyes shimmered harshly. Behind him, Krithli, Lyhee, and other monsters were watching us nervously.
I kept smiling and said, “You have been making a big mess in my dungeon. Now, it is time to pay for your sin.”
“Don’t stop me!”
Whoosh!
Steane quickly kicked the ground and jumped. A typical Dwarf would not have been able to move so quickly. I calmly drew my sword, Rage.
Clang!
Steane swung a thick longsword randomly. There was no technique. It was just blind swinging. But it was very powerful that even I would not be okay if I got hit by that.
But still, I laughed. A Dwarf like Steane could fight like this only because he wore the armor. How could I not be excited? How could I not be happy?
“Let’s see if it can restore its shape after an attack from the Dark Sword.’
I was wondering if it could recover from an attack from the Dark Sword. The Dark Sword skill could curse and inflict incurable wounds. At the same time, Rage turned black.
Clang!
I hit the armor with the sword, but it was too strong. The sword bounced back. I snorted and stepped back to prepare the next attack. Steane immediately jumped to attack me in that short period of time.
It was a thoughtless attack. It had worked on Gigantes, but I blocked it easily. I had polished my techniques in the battlefields of Devildom. Those techniques were not something a novice could exceed easily.
Slash!
I cut off Steane’s left arm. The armor released a dark gas and covered the wound. Then, the left arm started to regenerate slowly. No, no. I quickly changed my thought.
“It is not regenerating… Ha-ha! It is creating!”
I realized something after I saw that. It was healing but not healing. It just reconstructed the arm. No wonder the Dark Sword, which was supposed to prevent recovery, did not work.
I felt like I just received a big blow. Restoration and creation were utterly different domains. I had experienced this once with the Achievement Store before; I should not have believed the description as given. It seemed to have only the ability to reproduce the original form, but that alone was a big surprise.
“But to recreate, it will need a lot of mana. Hmm… I wonder how far it can do that.”
I could not help being curious: I was wondering what was the extent of its blocking, absorption, and recovery abilities…
“Paranormal.”
[One of the five blessings of Paranormal, “Mana +5 for 30 minutes” was applied.]
“Is it because my intelligence has increased? Unlike before, I can get useful blessings more often.”
“Rage.”
[Due to high correction of Mana (101), Speed and Strength increase by ten each.]
[Your Intelligence fell by 20, but pure Intelligence is over 76. Due to the “Astral Code,” a unique trait was reinforced. You will not get CC “Rage.”]
As a result, my Strength exceeded 100. It was 105, a transcendental figure. I thought I had to pass 96 of Intelligence at least to use it with Sloth. My Intelligence was not quite there yet, but it was unnecessary to use both of them at the moment. The Rage was enough to dismantle the armor.
Grinning, I said to Steane, whose left arm had completed regenerating, “Don’t disappoint me.”
Clang! Clank! Clang!
Rage hit the armor. Whenever I hit, the armor cracked little by little. Soon, Steane’s facial expression changed. He trembled and stepped back hastily. The armor, which only had greed, began to run away with fear.
“You are an excellent blacksmith. So, I won’t kill you. But—”
There were no Dwarves as skilled as Steane. I did not want to kill him. He even made the Infinity Armor, so he might be able to make better items than this. But I definitely had to do something with the armor. I had to fix its disgraceful manners.
“—you are too slow.”
As I used the Rage skill, my speed also reached to 100. No matter how fast Steane was, there was no way he could move faster than me.
Growl!
Steane finally gave up on running away and swung his sword at me. I have said it repeatedly; there was no way attacks without techniques would work on me. I laughed at him and lifted my sword. I planned to put electric power in it.
“Will it absorb this too?”
I hit the armor with all my power.
Bam!

Steane fell and the armor was partly wrecked. I took the broken armor off of him and looked at it.
“It is starting to recover slowly.”
However, unlike before, I could not feel the Berserk status from it anymore. So, I opened my Mind’s Eye again and checked the condition of the armor.
Name – Infinity Armor (Growth)
Description: Armor stained with infinite greed. The nucleus was awakened with the Tree of Origin, but because of the lack of skill of the blacksmith, the nucleus was not fully refined. It was once dismantled, so its original ability has been removed. But Infinity Armor can “grow” based on the user’s mana.

Shape recovery. It absorbs an attack and converts it into mana. It invalidates a blow that is below a certain level.
Special options will be developed according to the degree of growth.

** It can substitute the sin of “Greed” as part of the Seven Sins.
Growth? I never saw this word before.
“The Infinite Flesh had the skill.”
But I could understand. The Infinity Armor was made from the nucleus of the Flesh. I was very excited about the potential skills it may gain as it grew.
“Take care of Steane and clean the mess up. Take special note to check on Griffin as soon as possible.”
“Yes, my Dungeon Master,” Krithli said politely.
I headed to the highest floor, holding the armor.
“It’s done.”
About two days had passed, and the armor totally recovered its original shape.
“I got three items from the set.”
The items from the set usually had some special effects as new items were added to the collection. There was not much difference when I had gathered the first two pieces. I was wondering if something would happen if I used all three items. I put on the Infinity Armor, expecting something to happen. Soon, a message window popped up.
[You have collected “Rage,” “Sloth,” “Greed,” the three items of Seven Sins.]
[The related skill disappears and a new skill “Depravity (Ex Epic)” is created.]
Depravity…!
I looked at the message window carefully over and over again. I could not believe I had got an exceptional Epic skill. My heartbeat quickened. I swallowed and opened the status window.

Power 95 Intelligence 91 Speed 90 Strength 85 Mana 96 Potential (406+51/500)
I had not opened my status window since the time I got the Egg of Angel. The abilities had changed a lot. Among them, Intelligence had increased significantly; it was possibly because of the Sword of the Emperor, the Leaf of the World Tree, and other items.
I looked carefully at the skills. “Rage” and “Sloth” were gone, and “Depravity” had appeared. When I focused on Depravity, an explanation about it popped up.
Name – Depravity (Ex Epic)
Description – You have no idea what true depravity is.
** Caution
It was short. There was no satisfactory explanation. However, it was intense. Eventually, to find out the effect of Depravity, I had no choice but to use it.
“…But, not now.”
When I used the Rage skill, I got CC and was obsessed with the desire to destroy things. This skill was a half-step higher than Rage, so there was a possibility that I couldn’t control myself at all. Above all, even at the half-level gap, after Epic grade, the difference between them was like night and day.
I knew it, so I could not practice it right at that moment. A secret option that could be seen as an effect of the Mind’s Eye even said “Caution.” I liked adventures and challenges, but there was a limit.
“The day I have to use it probably will come.”
I nodded. Then, I took off the armor and looked at Lyhee. For the past two days, I had to focus on the armor, so I could not find out what had happened. Now, it was time to listen. Lyhee, who felt my gaze, trembled with fear.
