Chapter 107: Episode 30. Dungeon Destruction (2)
I thought about Fagan Grewoolly.
He was a duke and one of Archduke Ufa’s demons.
The duke was quite belligerent and straightforward, but such traits were disadvantageous. For instance, Ufa had abandoned Grewoolly to participate in the Auction of Devildom, but Grewoolly did not understand the gravity of the situation. Instead, he believed that he was sacrificed for the “greater good.”
Of course, getting banned from the Auction of Devildom would help Grewoolly invest more points on his dungeon. As a result of the investment, he did accomplish some achievements. Furthermore, his monsters, in terms of their quantity and quality, were not bad. His monsters were quite good when they were compared to those of the other demons’.
The problem was still the Flesh.
To be precise, it was the Infinite Flesh.
The monster moved slowly and in a very simple manner. However, its health point was tremendous. It survived strikes from thousands of monsters and Grewoolly himself. Such a scene reminded me of a slime, but the Flesh was incomparably superior to slimes when it came to taking strikes.
After bombarding the monster continuously for two months, Grewoolly was finally able to get rid of it. He did not rest a second during this time. The duke could not have imagined that such simple attacks could be so tiring.
However, the monster gave the duke tremendous damages.
Grewoolly spent all of the points that he had been saving to defeat the monster.
Furthermore, the barrier of the dungeon was breached.
The duke was now exposed to threats and became nervous. Should any demon attacked him, he would not be able to hold the dungeon.
Surprisingly, humans started to attack his dungeon. The duke could not have foreseen such attacks from mankind.
“These freaking humans!”
Fagan Grewoolly ground his teeth.
[The external wall of the dungeon is destroyed. The dungeon, which had thirty-seven floors, will now be reduced to four floors. As the space merged, 671 monsters died. Panicking monsters start escaping the dungeon.]

The dungeon was continuously shaking.
Screech! Screech!
Due to the absence of a barrier, mana was not circulating well inside the dungeon, and the power of the Dungeon Core was weakened. The Dungeon Core could not stop the monsters, which had low intelligence, from escaping the dungeon.
Looking at the mess, Grewoolly clenched his fists hard.
“These are mere humans…!”
The humans were weak. Grewoolly thought that if he were not so generous, humans would have already become extinct.
He sent his strongest monsters to fight the humans and completely obliterated their weapons. Despite the large casualties of monsters, Grewoolly was indeed a duke. He still had many monsters by his side to combat normal humans.
However, there were more than just humans.
Many awakened heroes also started to invade the dungeon. They came in relentlessly. Awakened heroes, who came from all around the world, were slowly advancing towards the top floor of the dungeon.
If there were only awakened heroes, Grewoolly could have easily fought them. When normal humans, who wielded weapons, joined the awakened heroes, the battle became more difficult for the duke. Fighting a combination of normal humans and awakened heroes was completely different from fighting soldiers, who also invaded dungeons in Korea.
If the barrier was working normally, it would have neutralized all the modern weapons that the humans wielded… Unfortunately, the barrier was no longer there, and the Flesh had taken too much mana from the dungeon. Nothing was working as they should.
Weak monsters were getting wiped out by all kinds of weapons.
Stronger monsters could not handle attacks from such a large number of enemies; most of them either died or fled.
In just a few days, the humans entered the second floor of the dungeon.
At this rate, they would easily come up to the third floor and even the fourth floor, where Grewoolly was.
“I will kill them all!”
At last, Fagan Grewoolly bared his vicious teeth.
“Slow down. Protect the soldiers.”
Of the awakened heroes from all around the world, the most outstanding ones were from the Guild of Heaven’s Will in Korea. Thanks to their accessories and tools, which were enchanted with translation magic, the awakened heroes could easily communicate with each other, despite the different languages that they spoke.
Trailing behind the Guild of Heaven’s Will were awakened heroes from the United States, China, and so on. They were not happy that the Guild of Heaven’s Will was leading ahead of them. However, the Devil Hunter attack unit, which was a part of the Guild of Heaven’s Will, was the most famous attack unit among the awakened heroes. The unhappy heroes could not do anything but let the guild lead the group.
The awakened heroes were in a dungeon, and they must work together to survive. And if they were to work together, they needed a leader. As a result, the awakened heroes implicitly agreed that the Guild of Heaven’s Will would take the lead and be the leader for this group.
Of course, some awakened heroes refused to follow the Guild of Heaven’s Will’s lead, and they went their own way. Unfortunately, most of them died, and the other awakened heroes could hear them screaming out in pain as the heroes advanced deeper into the dungeon.

The members of the Dark Society believed that they deserved to lead the heroes.

Yoo Eunhye was annoyed and tried to step in. However, Kim Yongwoo, the guild master of the Guild of Heaven’s Will, spoke up.
“Be quiet! We made a decision before we entered the dungeon, so we must follow our decision. We are now in a dungeon, and we must stay together. Don’t try to pick a fight.”
The alliance among the awakened heroes was about to fall apart. It was a good opportunity for the Guild of Heaven’s Will to lead the awakened heroes, and the members of the guild did not want to miss the opportunity.
Kim Yongwoo had a lot of worries after the passing of the Devil Hunter attack unit, who was the “face” of the Guild of Heaven’s Will. Kim Yongwoo was no longer the most powerful member of the guild.
Many awakened heroes in the guild became more powerful than him.
And naturally, they wanted to get rid of Kim Yongwoo and become the guild master.
Now, the winners took everything. The weaker ones were left out… Kim Yongwoo was barely hanging on.
“I must use this opportunity wisely. Only then can I and the Guild of Heaven’s Will survive,” Kim Yongwoo thought.
Destroying the dungeon was the only way that he could compensate for the loss of the unit leader of the Devil Hunter attack unit.
He must play a major role in this mission.
The successful destruction of the dungeon would empower him, and he would be able to prevent others from complaining and picking fights.

“What? I did not nitpick. I just told the truth! You scare me!”

Kim Yongwoo tried his best to ignore their insults. If he lost his temper now, nothing would change and he would lose the lead. The guild master did not want the others to dominate.
“Do you think we are in a theater or something? Did they lose their mind because they are larger in number? I cannot trust the Chinese…”
The other guilds from Korea could not tolerate the complaints, however. In particular, the members of the Mithril guild, who were mostly young, were not as patient as Kim Yongwoo.
Awakened heroes from Japan and the United States did not complain openly. Neither did they support the heroes from China. They did not like the heroes from China.
The members of the Dark Society became serious.
“Watch what you’re saying. Do you want a piece of me?”
“Oh, wow. Now you want to start a fight?”
The awakened heroes stopped advancing, and different guilds confronted each other.
“Stop!”
Kim Yongwoo stepped in between the two guilds and sighed silently.
He could not guarantee success even if all the awakened heroes worked together, but now there were conflicts among different guilds of awakened heroes.
They were only on the second floor, but they were vulnerable to attacks. Should any monster launched an attack, the awakened heroes could be decimated.
Boom!

What could go wrong always went wrong.
Suddenly, the awakened heroes saw Two-headed Ogres and Cerberuses.
Then came hundreds of monsters, including dozens of Ice Trolls.
“How dare you invade my dungeon? You filthy humans! None of you will return home alive!”
In the middle of the monsters was Fagan Grewoolly.

The battle was fierce.
And it was not going well.
There were many awakened heroes and soldiers. Together, they fought against the monsters, but many died during the combat.
Thousands of awakened heroes and soldiers were struggling against a mere few hundred monsters.
Screams rang out everywhere.
However, the number of monsters was decreasing quickly, too. In particular, the awakened heroes from Korea were dominating the battle.
Most of the heroes from Korea were of higher levels and had experience combating high monsters.
Furthermore, the heroes carried high-quality weapons. Some of them were even wearing armors of rare grade. As a result, the awakened heroes from Korea inflicted a lot of damages to high monsters.
“Shit! Is that the master of the dungeon?”
Kim Yongwoo shivered.
If these were only normal monsters, the awakened heroes and soldiers still had hopes. After all, they outnumbered the monsters.
However, Kim Yongwoo was not sure if they could get rid of that one demon, the commander of all the monsters.
The demon had sharp and long fingernails. His teeth were also as sharp as those of a wolf. The demon was “slaughtering” awakened heroes and soldiers. Such a scene gave Kim Yongwoo the chills.
He was of a different league, and they were hopeless. Two-headed Ogres were strong, but they were overwhelming like the demon.
The demon was as powerful as other dungeon owners. However, he could be in the top few percentage of the dungeon masters.
“Ahh!”
“Keep your formation! Do not give them time to… Ah!”
The awakened heroes and soldiers could not see anything. The demon was so fast that they could barely see his shadow. In the blink of an eye, the demon was in front of his target.
“Kill him! We just need to kill him!”
The awakened heroes were quick to notice that the overwhelming demon was the “final boss” of this battle.
However, they couldn’t do much about it.
Some of the awakened heroes were able to attack the demon, but they could not do much damage; the heroes could only burn parts of the demon’s clothes. On the other hand, wherever the demon’s fingernails landed, everything was ripped like a sheet of paper.
“What am I going to do? What should I do?” Kim Yongwoo thought.
Kim Yongwoo started to panic. The demon was way too powerful. He was expecting a powerful enemy like the demon to appear in the battle. However, when he saw the demon ripping apart everything in front of him, he could not do anything.
He could not imagine how many soldiers and heroes he would need to get rid of that demon.
A thousand? Ten thousand?
The thought of fighting the dungeon master made him almost faint. However, he knew one fact for sure; everyone in the dungeon could die.
Even if the soldiers and heroes could kill the other monsters, that one demon could wipe out the entire army of soldiers and awakened heroes!
“Ahh!”
“Sister…!”
Something pierced through Yoo Eunhye’s side.
She quickly let electricity flow through her body and survived. However, such a solution was temporary.
Edward noticed the injury and pointed his sword to the enemy.
Unfortunately, he could only swing his sword a few times. The enemy quickly pierced through Edward’s heart, and Edward dropped to the floor.
“Cough!”
The two most outstanding members of the Guild of Heaven’s Will were done. They were fortunate to not die instantly. However, it was only a matter of time; they would eventually die if their injuries were not healed.
“No!”
Kim Yongwoo drew his sword. The two were important members of the Devil Hunter attack unit, and they were his good supporters. He thought that they would play major roles in the Guild of Heaven’s Will in the future.
The guild master could not let the demon, who was overwhelmingly powerful, take their lives just like that.
The dungeon master smiled coldly. He stretched his fingers and tried to finish the two.
Then something happened right before the demon took their lives.
Boom!
A lightning, which looked like a dragon, struck the inside of the dungeon.
