Deadly Doting Marriage Novel - Chapter 66
Chapter 66: My Father Had Betrothed Me to Carlos
Sherri’s back was facing the camera, and it looked like he was kissing Sherri’s neck.
Sherri’s face was charming and seductive.
Kathleen felt very bitter the moment she noticed how intimately the duo was acting.
After deleting the photo, she placed her phone on the table and lay down under the blanket.
Although she looked calm on the surface, she felt like someone had dug out a piece of her heart. The pain was excruciating.
The next morning, the warm sunlight shone down.
In the Lambert’s residential villa, John woke up in a daze.
When he opened his eyes, he felt as if his head had been crushed by something.
He looked up at the familiar room and turned around to see Sherri, who was leaning against him and sleeping soundly.
John’s expression suddenly changed. He pushed her away and said angrily, “Sherri, what are you doing here?”
Sherri rubbed her eyes and explained, “John, you’re awake. You drank too much last night. I was the one who brought you home.”
“I fed you some hangover soup. You held my hand and refused to let me go, so I stayed!”
John looked at her in disgust. “Get out. Don’t ever step foot into the Lambert’s residential villa again!”
Sherri said aggrievedly, “John, I’m your fiancée. Why are you so hard on me?”
“I just want to take care of you!”
“I don’t need you to take care of me!” John stood up and changed into clean clothes.
Sherri wanted to talk to him, but John ignored her. He went into the bathroom and slammed the door.
Sherri was furious.
Sherri thought to themselves, “W…why is he always so cold toward me?”
John opened the door and walked out after taking a shower.
He frowned when he saw that Sherri had not left yet, “Why are you still here?”
Sherri unwillingly put on her clothes and said, “You don’t have to rush me. I’ll leave after I put on my clothes!”
Before opening the door, John gave her a cold glance and walked out. Barkley saw him come out and said with concern, “Young master, you’re awake!”
John ordered coldly, “Throw away all the things on my bed immediately!”
Barkley was slightly startled, “Throw away all the things on your Bed?”
“That’s right, change the bed as well. From now on, I will sleep in Kathleen’s room until it is done!”
Barkley glanced at Sherri in the room and nodded repeatedly. “Yes, I’ll get rid of it immediately!”
John snorted coldly and turned around to leave.
Sherri heard the conversation between the two in the room and was so angry that her face turned ashen.
She had only slept here for one night, and John wanted to change the bed? Does she piss him
It was all because of this Kathleen. It was Kathleen who took away John’s attention, and it was Kathleen who took away John’s love.
If it were not for Kathleen, they would have been married long ago.
Sherri thought of their past enmity and resentment, and her black eyes flashed a jealous resentment.
Kathleen, just you wait, I won’t let you go!
The sun was shining brightly in the middle of summer.
John had been sleeping in Kathleen’s room ever since he asked Barkley to replace his bed.
Her room is just across from John’s. It’s very small, as it was just a nanny’s room.
The only furniture inside was a small bed, cabinets, and a desk.
John was six feet tall, and it was very uncomfortable for him to sleep there. Barkley had asked John to change to another bigger bedroom more than once.
However, John still chose to sleep in Kathleen’s room.
John sat on the bed and sized up the environment in the room.
The table was clean, and nothing was left behind.
The cabinet was also empty since she had very little clothing.
The whole room was so clean that no one could tell someone used to stay here.
“Barley!” John yelled in a cold voice
Barkley hurried over. “Young master, what’s wrong?”
“Go buy clothes in Kathleen’s size and put them in the cupboard!”
Barkley was stunned. “Now?” he asked.
“Yeah, right now. Fill up this closet right here!”
Looking at John’s gloomy face, Barkley had not dared to question further. He nodded and said, “Okay, I’ll go now!”
“Wait!” John said and stopped Barkley.
He sat on the desk and looked at the empty bookshelf. He said in a deep voice, “You also need to buy books. Buy a lot of books and place them here!”
He did not want to see the room empty as if no one lived in it.
Barkley nodded and said, “I understand, young master!” Barkley closed the door and quickly left.
Soon, he was left alone in Kathleen’s room. John laid down on Kathleen’s bed.
It was already very dark. The moon was shining brightly, illuminating the earth in a cold light.
The cold wind whistled. One could still hear the whistling of the wind outside even if the windows were closed.
Ever since he left Kathleen’s apartment the last time, he had never gone to look for Kathleen.
Kathleen had never contacted him either.
They were clearly in such an intimate relationship, but now they seemed to have become strangers.
John closed his eyes and once again thought of what Kathleen had said.
“Then what does young master want me to do? Do you want me to stay in an ambiguous relationship with you?”
“Does young master want me to be your mistress, or do you want me to marry you!”
“Do you think it’s possible? My father is your enemy. How could I marry you?”
“Young master, you’d better wake up and face reality! If young master needs me to repay my debts for raising me, I will repay you!”
“My father arranged a marriage for me when I was young. He wanted me to marry Carlos.”
“I want to follow my father’s wishes and marry him…”
John suddenly sat up from the bed. He clenched his fists tightly, and his face was extremely livid.
“Marry Carlos? How dare she say such a thing? She doesn’t have the right to marry another man!” John said.
John was in a bad mood. He stood up and got off the bed. He tripped over something and fell to the ground.
At the same time, the prosthetic leg fell out of his pants.
John looked at the prosthetic leg in front of him, and a trace of anger flashed through his heart. He picked up the prosthetic leg and forcefully threw it to the side. “Kathleen, you are mine. I will never allow you to marry anyone in this lifetime!”
He let out a furious roar and overturned the chair at the side.
John was throwing a tantrum so loudly that Barkley and the other servants were too afraid to sleep.
It was not the first time that John had done this. Ever since Kathleen had left, he had been like this every night. He had been tormenting himself every night.
He kept throwing things around in the house to vent his anger.
The servants kept on cleaning up after John, but no one could do anything about it.
John sat on the ground and looked out of the window.
It was dark outside the window, and it looked like ink.
After a while, the color of the sky started to change as the run raises..
