Kathleen’s days were peaceful, as if the past was a dream in the past month.

John had not left the apartment. Instead, he pushed the door open and walked in.

He looked at her and said in a low voice, “What’s wrong with you recently?”

Kathleen paused and said indifferently, “Nothing is wrong!”

She had not raised her head and continued to write her thesis.

John grabbed Kathleen’s tiny pale face. For a moment, he was at a loss for words.

When had they become strangers?

Could it be because of those two kids?

John leaned against the bed’s headboard and closed his eyes as if deep in thought.

John opened his eyes and looked at her. “Come here!”

Kathleen’s expression was indifferent as she walked up to John. John pulled her into his arms, his warm breath hitting her neck.

John frowned. “What? You still hate me for killing those two brats?”

Kathleen said indifferently, “No.” “Then why are you resisting me?” Kathleen had not answered him but instead opened her mouth and said, “Young master, my father arranged for me to marry Carlos Reeves when I was younger.

“I want to follow my father’s wishes and marry him…”

John’s face darkened. “Don’t even think about it! I told you that you would not be marrying him!”

Kathleen raised her eyes and looked at him quietly. “Then what does young master want me to do? Do you want me to stay in an ambiguous relationship with you?”

“Does young master want me to be your mistress, or do you want me to marry you!” “Do you think it’s possible? My father is your enemy. How could I marry you?”

“Young master, you’d better wake up and face reality! If young master needs me to repay my debts for raising me, I will repay you!”

John looked at the girl in front of him in shock. Usually, Kathleen rarely spoke so much.

However, now she was talking to him.
