Deadly Doting Marriage Novel - Chapter 61
Chapter 61: You Can’t Die as Long as I Said So
Looking at Kathleen’s lifeless eyes, John’s expression slightly changed, hurriedly let go of his hand around her neck.
He realized what Kathleen was thinking and was furious. “You wanted to die, don’t you?”
“Don’t even think about it. You are mine; your life belongs to me. Even if you died, your soul belongs to me!”
“You can’t die as long as I said so.”
The corners of Kathleen’s mouth twitched into a smile as she looked at John’s angry expression.
Her smile carried a hint of mockery, angering John more.
He shook her shoulders vigorously and said fiercely, “Kathleen, did you hear what I said? You owe me, and you’ll have to pay your debts by staying by my side for the rest of your life!”
Kathleen fell to the ground, unable to take it any longer.
Her pupils dilated, and she passed out.
“Kathleen, Kathleen!” John trembled slightly and hurriedly picked her up.
John carried Kathleen to his room and shouted angrily, “Barkley!”
Barkley hurriedly put on his coat and came out of the servant’s room. “Young master, what’s wrong?” Barkley asked.
“Call the doctor!” John ordered.
Barkley was stunned when he saw the unconscious Kathleen. He hurried to call Corey.
John put Kathleen on the bed in his bedroom.
Kathleen’s complexion was as pale as paper, and her eyes were closed, looking as if she had lost her life.
John held her hand tightly with a worried expression.
She wanted to die again. She does not deserve to die.
Her entire life belonged to him. Only he could decide whether she lived or died!
Barkley knew that this was an emergency, so he quickly brought Corey to John’s room.
John saw him and said in a low voice, “Go and take a look at Kathleen. What’s wrong with her!”
Corey dared not delay as he quickly walked toward Kathleen and examined her.
He sighed, “Ms. Yates’s body is getting weaker and weaker!”
“What are you waiting for?” John looked at him coldly.
Corey immediately said, “Ms. Yates had been having nightmares for the past few days. Her anxiety and fear will only worsen her mental state…”
“Then what are you waiting for? VVhy aren’t you treating her?” John scolded Corey.
“Young master, Ms. Yates has a mental illness. She needs a psychologist!” Corey said hesitantly, “Why don’t young master see a psychiatrist…
John was furious. “Scram!”
Corey dared not say anything else and left the room in a hurry.
Barkley sighed before leaving as well.
It was still pouring rain, and thunder rumbled outside the window.
The room was extremely quiet.
John looked at Kathleen’s pale face, and his expression darkened.
John held Kathleen’s hand tightly, and his eyes were as cold as ice.
Those two men mean that much to you for you to defy me?
No one knew then the rain had stopped.
Kathleen opened her eyes the next morning and saw John lying beside her.
He had a pale complexion, and his red lips were tightly pursed. She could tell that he was exhausted, even though he was asleep.
Kathleen looked around and realized that she was in John’s room.
The scene from last night flashed across her mind, and she slowly calmed down.
John noticed Kathleen’s gaze and opened his eyes slightly. “You’re awake!”
Kathleen nodded her head with an indifferent expression. She sat up and said, “Young master, I’m going to wash up!”
It was as if what happened last night had never happened.
Looking at her back as she left, John immediately grabbed onto Kathleen’s hand and said angrily, “You’re still blaming me for those two men, aren’t you?”
Kathleen replied indifferently, “No!”
“No?” Although Kathleen was silent in the past, she was not so cold toward him.
Kathleen was like a lifeless doll. Even though she was alive, she had a lifeless look in her eyes.
Although she said no, is that really the case?
Kathleen ignored the anger on John’s face and asked indifferently, “Young master, is there anything else? If there’s nothing else, I had to get ready for school!”
John had not said another word. Kathleen pulled her hand away from John, turned around, and walked into the bathroom.
John was even more furious after he saw her respond.
He pushed everything off the nightstand.
Kathleen listened to the sound of the cup breaking. Her eyes were cold, and she left without hesitation.
After washing up, Kathleen had a simple breakfast, and the driver sent her to Crafield University.
Crafield University is located just outside the Hillford capital, but it is still an hour’s drive away.
Kathleen went to the apartment, tidied up, and went to school. The university is just a street away from the apartment, so it was very convenient.
Kathleen went to the Student Affairs Department’s Office to report her arrival.
The teacher knew that John had arranged for her to attend the university and treated her very kindly.
After bringing her into the class and introducing herself, she was arranged to sit in the second row of the classroom.
Kathleen’s deskmate was a very beautiful young lady named Samantha Lee.
As Kathleen seldom talked to Samantha because she had not known her.
After spending a few days together, Samantha asked Kathleen curiously, “To be honest, I’ve never seen someone as quiet as you. You had spoken less than three sentences each day!”
Kathleen had been attending classes here for a few days. She had not asked any questions or said anything.
“Are you just untalkative? Sometimes, I really admire people like you who don’t like to talk!”
She was the complete opposite, as she could not control her tongue and would talk all day. She would suffocate if she remained silent.
“What do you like to eat? What do you like? You can at least tell me that!”
Kathleen said indifferently, “There’s nothing that I particularly like to eat, and there’s nothing that I particularly like!”
She had always been followed with the flow. Her father passed away, and John adopted her.
Following that, she took care of him, served him, and followed his orders.
Unlike other young girls, she was no interest in clothes, makeup, or shopping.
She had nothing. She was just such a boring person!
Samantha said in surprise, “That can’t be. How can a person not have anything that they like?”
Samantha winked at Kathleen. “If you don’t like anything else, you should at least like handsome guys!”
“Do you like the campus belle of our school? Do you think he’s handsome? If he pursues you, will you agree?”
Kathleen raised her eyebrows. “I don’t know who he is. ”
Although she had been attending classes here for a few days, she had not cared about the things around her.
She had not paid attention to the men around her, nor did she have the desire to date because of John.
Samantha burst out laughing, “You don’t even know the campus belle! Alright, I’ve decided to befriend you!”
Kathleen was speechless. “Oh?”
“Because you won’t try to steal the campus belle away from me!”
Kathleen was finally amused by Samantha…
The students here were not like the people from Hillford University who hated her, attacked her, and made fun of her.
Everyone treated Kathleen well. Samantha would drag Kathleen around and chat with her every day. Samantha had brought joy to Kathleen. .
