Deadly Doting Marriage Novel - Chapter 277
Chapter 277: I Was Wrong About What Happened Before
Nancy got out of the car when she reached the stop where she needed to get off.
She walked all the way to an old apartment in Murica. She went upstairs, where they had been staying since they came to Murica.
The two-bedroom, one-living room apartment was very small, but it was very cozy.
Nancy put on a mischievous smile as soon as she entered the house. She started to shout at Grayson, who was definitely waiting for her at home. “I’m back!”
Grayson came out of the kitchen.
When he saw Nancy, he smiled gently and said, “Nancy, I could have guessed you are about to return. I made you some soup, belly beef brisket soup.”
“I’ll pour you a bowl, okay?”
Nancy nodded and said, “Okay!”
She walked to the dining table and sat down, waiting obediently.
Soon, Grayson brought the soup over and placed it in front of her.
Then, he raised his hand and gently rubbed the top of her hair. In a gentle voice, he told her, “The soup is a little hot. Be careful not to burn yourself, okay?”
“Okay!”
She drank the soup under Grayson’s warm gaze.
Like a child doted on by his parents, she happily drank the soup.
Then, she looked at Grayson. Nancy asked him, “Did your stomach hurt again today? Why don’t we go to the hospital and have a check-up?”
Grayson refused. “No need.”
He told Nancy, “I only have some stomach problems. It’s an old injury. It’s not serious. You don’t have to worry.”
Nancy believed Grayson because she did not think that her brother would lie to her.
However, in reality?
Grayson did not just have stomach problems. He actually had a very serious illness, stomach cancer! He was about to die. It was very likely that he would not live for long.
The reason why he did not tell Nancy and kept it a secret from Nancy was because he did not
want her to worry.
Grayson felt that he would not die! He could not bear to leave Nancy alone.
Grayson watched Nancy finish her soup.
Grayson stood up and went to clean up the soup bowl.
He smiled gently and told Nancy, “It’s already very late. Go wash up and sleep. ”
“Okay!”
Nancy stood up and left, heading to her room.
Grayson and Nancy had grown up together, relying on each other. They did not seem to have any parents.
Nancy was brought up by her older brother, Grayson.
It was said that their parents had died in a car accident.
Grayson was six years older than Nancy. He was Nancy’s older brother, but he had always played the role of a parent. He had always taken good care of Nancy.
He had always been protecting Nancy, and she was able to be so naive. Even though she had been hit hard by life, she could still face it with a smile.
She could still live a good life.
If something really happened to Grayson one day and he really died, Nancy would probably not be able to take it!
Grayson walked into Nancy’s room. Grayson smiled gently and said softly, “Nancy, I will definitely not leave you alone!”
At this moment.
Erwin was in front of Nancy’s apartment building.
He had actually followed Nancy all the way here.
Erwin made a call while sitting in his car. “I need you to look up a person. Betty from Oceanie Bar. I want all the information you can find on her!”
“Yes, sir!”
The other party accepted the order.
In less than ten minutes, he had already sent all the information on Betty to Erwin.
Erwin checked it out.
He saw that Betty was Nancy, and she had come to Murica with her brother half a year ago. At the moment, she was studying at Murica’s Art Academy.
In the evening, she used the name Betty to earn money by playing at the Oceanie bar. Besides that, she had also found several other part-time jobs in order to pay for her tuition fees. She did not want her brother to work so hard.
When he saw all of this, Erwin curled his lips into a smile. “This woman pretended not to know me!”
Erwin had originally planned to return to Hillford after they had discussed their business deal.
However, he changed his plans and planned to continue staying in Murica for a period of time.
The next day.
Erwin once again came to Oceanie Bar. He found a seat and sat down to drink, quietly listening to Nancy’s playing.
However, the seat he chose this time was not far from the center of the stage. Nancy, who was performing, easily spotted Erwin.
The moment she saw him…
Nancy was stunned. She could not help but think, why is this man here again?
Due to Erwin’s appearance, Nancy almost missed a note in the music she was playing. Fortunately, she managed to calm herself down quickly.
After a long while, Nancy returned backstage after playing the music.
Just as she was about to leave with her things, Erwin once again blocked her way.
Erwin’s pitch-black eyes stared at her as he said, “Nancy, stop pretending. I know it’s you!”
Nancy was stunned.
“Why are you pretending not to know me?”
Erwin’s tone of voice was clearly laced with anger, even though he had no idea what he was angry about?
Angry that the woman pretended not to know him?
Then, of course, Nancy also noticed Erwin’s anger at this time.
She smiled.
He then looked at Erwin with a ridiculous expression. “Why should I know you? Erwin, is there anything between us? Do we need to know each other?”
Erwin was speechless
He looked at the woman who was as cold as a rose and covered in thorns. “I know you’re angry about what happened in the past.”
“Susan forced you to abort the child. It was her fault.” “I’ve already taught her a lesson on this matter.”
Nancy’s lips curled into a cold and sarcastic smile again.
“What’s the point? Even if he taught Susan a lesson, what’s the point? Will my child return to
Forget it. What’s the point?
In the end, Nancy only gave a cold and sarcastic smile. “It’s fine. An unwelcome child probably shouldn’t have come into this world in the first place.”
Erwin was slightly taken aback.
He was angry because of the smile on Nancy’s face and Nancy’s indifference toward him.
He had never expected Nancy to think that the child was unwelcome!
However, he was ultimately the one who had let down the woman in front of him and the child she had aborted. In the end, he was the one who had caused everything.
Thus, Erwin suppressed the anger in his body and explained to Nancy, “That child wasn’t unwelcome. I never asked you to abort him.”
“It doesn’t matter anymore.”
“He’s already been aborted. What’s the point of talking about it now?” Nancy asked indifferently..
