Deadly Doting Marriage Novel - Chapter 197
Chapter 197: I Will Marry You When I Grow Up
Who could be listening to mommy?
Daddy?
That’s impossible. He does not have to.
Tommy fell into deep thought. No matter how hard he thought, he could not figure out who it was.
Tommy had secretly installed surveillance cameras in the apartment to be able to see mommy at all times and protect her. He did not expect that he would actually discover such a big secret by doing so.
If the surveillance devices were used at the same time, they would interfere with each other.
Although Tommy was young, he was calm in handling matters. “Anne, every word our mommy said could have been monitored. There must be someone who wants to harm her.”
“Ah?” Anne was so scared that his face turned white. “Then what should we do? Will mommy be in danger?”
“Let’s hurry back to the apartment and find the surveillance device as soon as possible. Otherwise, the consequences will be unimaginable.”
“Yes!” Anne nodded fiercely, like a chick pecking at rice. “Let’s go quickly.”
After closing the computer, Tommy led Anne downstairs. After all, the situation was urgent, so they could only let Barkley send them to the apartment.
The moment John received Tommy’s call, he immediately rushed back.
Bach actually still dared to come!
He drove quickly to the apartment and dialed Kathleen’s number, but she did not pick up.
It would have taken forty minutes to drive, but now it took less than twenty minutes for him to arrive.
The moment he got out of the car, the bodyguards guarding outside the apartment had already disappeared.
From the looks of it, Bach must have used some means to get rid of the bodyguards.
John was so angry that the blood on his body froze. His eyes were filled with a cold light as he sat in the elevator and went straight to the floor where Kathleen was at.
The moment the elevator door opened, John saw Shane standing guard at the door. He walked forward, his anger soaring to the sky. “What are you standing here for?”
“Miss and young master are discussing something,” Shane answered truthfully. “Move aside!”John waved Shane away.
He suddenly pushed open the door of the apartment and saw Kathleen in Bach’s arms. His brain exploded.
He strode over and pulled Kathleen over. ‘You’re courting death. How dare you set foot in here!”
Bach stood up. “John, Kathleen is my wife. We’ve already held our wedding. You’re imprisoning my wife!”
John sneered, “Wife? Kathleen’s eyes were injured because of your wedding. You can’t even protect her, and you still want to marry her? The dignified young master’s wedding was planted with a bomb. If it wasn’t for me, Kathleen would have lost her life!”
Bach’s brows twitched. “What did you say? Wasn’t that explosion created by you? In order to Snatch Kathleen back, you didn’t hesitate to plant a bomb at the scene…”
‘[Ha! Why would I plant a bomb just to snatch Kathleen back? If it were me, I would take Kathleen away before planting the bomb so that Kathy would not be injured. The ones who deserve to die are you. These people who pretend to be good to her but actually want to kill her behind her back!”
John shielded Kathleen behind him. His dark eyes looked coldly at BaCh. “I don’t want to waste any more time with you. Kathleen is mine. She is the treasure that I raised and the mother of my child! I will not let anyone hurt her!”
“Take your people and leave immediately. On account of the fact that you once saved Kathleen and took care of her for a few years, I will not be too calculative with you. If you dare to come to Hillford again, don’t blame me for fighting back!”
Bach was stunned on the spot, and his mind went out of control. If that explosion was not caused by John, then who was it? Larry and Janice?
What John said was indeed the case. He did not protect her well. That wedding had been ruined by someone else, so what right did he have to bring Kathleen away.
“John, you should go. I will go back,” Kathleen suddenly said.
John said, “Kathy, you can’t go back. That is a wolfs den. What are you going back for?”
Bach looked deeply at Kathleen. His brown eyes were filled with pain. Perhaps John was right. It was not suitable for Kathleen to return to Sydnay. Once she returned, she would be in shackles.
Did he really lose this girl that he had protected for four years.
“Then I’ll be leaving. Kathleen, call me when you want to come back.”
Just as he walked downstairs and bumped into the twins, he bent down and picked them up. “Tommy, Anne, are you here to find mommy?”
Bach had taken care of the two little guys since they were young, and they were very close to him. They let Bach hug them. “Uncle Bach, can you give mommy the jade to cure her eyes?”
Tommy said, “Uncle Bach, I know you love mommy very much, but mommy can’t see right now. She doesn’t want to go back.”
Bach looked at the two little faces and felt very upset. “Do you not want mommy to marry Uncle Bach?”
Anne nodded. “Uncle Bach, you are very nice and handsome, but daddy is very pitiful. He is a disabled person. Please pity my daddy and return my mommy to him. When I grow up, I will marry you, okay?”
Bach did not know whether to laugh or cry. He stroked Anne’s hair. “When you grow up, uncle will be old.”
“I promise to bring the jade to treat your mother’s eyes.”
“Yay! I knew you were the best.”
Bach dropped the twins and turned to leave.
When the twins went upstairs and saw John and Kathleen in the living room, they immediately walked over. “Daddy, mommy, something big has happened…”
Hearing Anne’s voice, Kathleen was originally happy. When she heard what they said again, her heart became nervous.
Her unfocused eyes looked at their position. “Tommy, what big thing has happened?”
Although they were small, they were brilliant and would not say such things for no reason.
Anne realized that she had been impulsive just now and quickly changed her mind. “Mommy, when I came in just now, I saw a mouse running through the kitchen, so something big has happened…”
Kathleen furrowed her brows, clearly in disbelief. “Anne, is it like this?”
Anne quickly nodded in agreement. “Yes, mommy, I’m terrified of rats.”
The two children had never lied, and Kathleen did not believe it. She looked at John and said,
“Then you go chase away the rats.”
“Okay.” John nodded and made a sound, then turned around and went into the kitchen.
Tommy helped Kathleen sit down.
Anne followed John’s footsteps and whispered in his ear, “Daddy, the apartment is bugged.”
He’s looking at her, trying to get confirmation.
Anne nodded, indicating to be quiet.
Tommy was chatting with Kathleen in the living room as John and Anne were quietly searching for the location of the listening device.
Soon, John discovered that there was a miniature listening device on the drawing in the living room. John’s eyes were cold.
He quietly took it down and strode in the direction of the bathroom, throwing the listening device into the toilet. His pair of black eyes emitted a cold and gloomy light!.
