Deadly Doting Marriage Novel - Chapter 178
Chapter 178: Discharge From the Hospital
John turned his head and saw that the children had arrived. His body trembled. “Why are you all here?”
“Mommy…” Tommy and Anne saw Kathleen and ran madly into her arms.
“Tommy and Anne, how did you know that I was here?”
In order to not let them worry, Kathleen had specially instructed them not to let them know that she had been injured and hospitalized.
Tommy said, “Mommy, don’t even think about hiding it from us.”
Kathleen’s heart trembled, and her grayish-white eyes were filled with heartache.
How intelligent were the two children? It would not be easy to hide from them.
“Mommy, what happened to you? Why are you hospitalized? Are you injured?”
Anne came out from Kathleen’s embrace and raised his head to look at her eyes.
The children could tell that something was wrong with Kathleen’s eyes. “Mommy, what happened to your eyes?”
Tommy looked at John suspiciously, “Is mommy really fine?”
“Yes.” John nodded. “Mommy’s eyes have a little problem temporarily. Daddy will definitely return you all a perfectly fine Mommy.”
His voice was incredibly soft.
Kathleen and the children were all he had. Even if he had nothing, he could not lose them!
Although Kathleen could not see it, she could hear the seriousness and certainty in John’s voice.
“Mommy, I’m so sad.” Anne looked at Kathleen. Her small hand brushed across her eyes, and tears welled up in her pained eyes.
Although Kathleen could not see it, her ears were very sharp. From Anne’s tone of voice, she could feel that Anne was crying.
She reached out and touched Anne’s tender little face. “Anne, mommy is really fine. I will be fine very soon.”
“But…”
“Do you believe mommy?”
Anne nodded, “Yes.”
Hearing Anne’s voice, Kathleen’s face revealed a smile. She lovingly stroked Anne’s jet-black hair as she said gently, “Since you trust mommy, then from now on, you have to be obedient and don’t let mommy worry, okay?”
“Mommy, don’t worry. Anne and I will definitely be obedient.” Tommy quickly said when he saw that Anne was about to speak again.
Since mommy did not want them to know, then he would investigate on his own.
After saying that, Tommy’s gaze turned to John and said, “Daddy, I’ll leave mommy to you.”
Tommy was still so young, yet he was so calm when dealing with things. This could not help but shock John. John’s eyes were filled with anticipation.
“Alright, the next time you see mommy, she will definitely be able to see again.” John made a promise.
Even if he had to search the entire world, he had to find a donor.
Tommy nodded in satisfaction. “We believe in daddy. Then I’ll bring Anne home first.”
After saying that, the two of them jumped down from Kathleen’s arms. John stood up and ordered the driver to send the two of them home.
He watched the two children get into the car until they disappeared before his eyes. John turned and returned to the ward.
Open the door and go in.
Although Kathleen’s eyes could not see, she already knew who it was when she smelled the familiar scent.
Her face darkened, and she said coldly, “John, I want to be discharged from the hospital!” “No!” John still refused.
He walked up to her and reached out to hold her slender little hand. Kathleen retracted her hand.
John’s expression changed. Kathleen’s attitude towards John was very cold.
Even so, John did not mind and continued to treat her gently, “Kathy, it’s not suitable for you to be discharged from the hospital in your current situation.”
“John, don’t Call Me Kathy!”
The last time she let himself go, it was a mistake.
John looked hurt, and he quickly put it away. He said, “Alright, I won’t call you Kathy. Don’t get angry. ”
Kathy needed to be calm now and not get angry. Otherwise, it would affect her eyes.
Kathleen’s heart gradually felt a trace of pain.
Knowing there’s no going back between him and her.
“If you want me to stay calm, fine! Let me go.’
The cold tone of voice sounded very uncomfortable. John clearly felt that her whole body was slowly erupting with coldness.
See her so stubborn, John helpless.
He shook his head lightly, stood up, and said in a cold voice, “I’ll go ask the doctor.”
“Then why aren’t you going?” Hearing John’s relaxed tone, Kathleen quickly asked him.
John glanced at her, sighed, and then walked out. After finding the doctor and asking about the situation, he returned very quickly.
“Can I be discharged?” Kathleen asked with a hint of nervousness,
“Well, the doctor said you could go home and rest, wait for the donor’s cornea, and then operate. ”
Listening to these words, the corner of Kathleen’s mouth rarely raised a touch of faint arc.
Soon, John packed up and led Kathleen out of the hospital.
At first, he planned to let Kathleen Live in Lambert’s residential villa, but she rejected.
In order to appease her, John had to go along with her and send her back to her old apartment.
Just as John left, a tall figure walked out.
Her eyes were filled with murderous intent, and her hands were clenched into fists as she endured the vicious chill that was about to erupt.
She gritted her teeth and swore in her heart, ‘Kathleen, John can only be mine!’
It was only when their car disappeared into the surging streets that she drove up to follow them.
She followed them all the way to the apartment and saw John helping her up the stairs, treating her so gently. Diana’s eyes were filled with the jealousy she had never felt before, and it seemed to be about to erupt at any moment!
In the living room, Kathleen’s slender little hands caressed the familiar sofa. The invisible her could remember all the positions based on her memory.
She knew that waiting for the cornea was a process, and she wanted to get used to it by herself.
John, sitting beside her, saw that she was sitting quietly. He spoke warmly, “Kathleen, I’ll help you to the bedroom to rest.”
As he spoke, he was about to help her up.
Kathleen shook off his hand. She said indifferently, “John, I don’t need you to take care of me. You can go.’
