Kathleen hung up the phone after the conversation. She put away the documents and slowly stood up.

She stretched her joints slightly and walked towards the fridge. After opening it, she looked at the beer inside and frowned.

She had been back for so long and had never been to a bar before. She thought of bringing Shane to the bar for a night of fun.

After thinking about it for a while, she decided to go with her plan.

It had been four years, and the bar was still bustling with activity. There were even quite a number of young people who looked to be in their twenties.

Kathleen began to drink her cocktail. After looking around, she turned her gaze to the stage not far away.

She vaguely remembered the way Nancy danced in the bar four years ago. It was still vivid in her mind.

She wondered how she was doing now.

She slowly retracted her gaze and sat in front of the bar to drink.

Behind her, the DJ slowly changed the music. The music was slowly turned up, and soon after, a familiar female voice sounded.

The voice was melodious, but there was a hint of helplessness and bitterness in it.

Kathleen turned around to look. When she saw the woman on the stage clearly, her eyes were filled with surprise, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously curled up.

It was actually Nancy!

After saying that, she turned her head to look at Shane, who was standing at the side.

Nancy looked at Shane’s back and asked curiously, “Who is he to you? Why is he so obedient?”
