Chapter 109: You’ve Been Dead for Four Years, Don’t Come Looking for Me
Erica chuckled. “Alright, stop drinking. Sherri, you’ll get drunk if you keep drinking!”
“Yeah, yeah. We won’t have the strength to carry you out if you drink too much!”
At this moment, a man knocked on the door and walked in. “Ms. Millan, what’s wrong?”
Tianna said disdainfully, “She’s in a bad mood and drank too much!”
The man looked at them and said, “Hello, I’m Ms. Millan’s driver. Her master asked me to send her home when she was drunk!”
The sisters smiled. “That’s good. Send her home!”
They did not want to bother with her anyway. The reason they came here was to see how terrible her life was!
The man nodded and quickly carried Sherri out of the room.
As soon as Sherri left, the girls burst into laughter. “She deserves it. She was always so proud of herself. Now that Sherri is bankrupt. Let’s see how she will have the face to be with us in the future!”
Erica touched up her makeup and smiled. “That’s right. All these years, she’s been showing off all day because John is her fiancée!”
“She’s not showing off what John bought for her. She’s just showing off how good John is to her. I’ve long disliked her!”
Esther chuckled. “Yeah, it’s good that she’s bankrupt. She’s been occupying John for so many years. It’s good that she’s dead…”
Sherri was helped out of the bar and brought into the car. She shouted, “I’m not going home. I want to drink.”
The driver drove the car directly to the seaside of Crafield, threw her onto the beach, before turning around to leave.
The sea breeze blew, and Sherri was drunk. She rubbed her forehead as she stood up and said, “Where am I?!”
She looked around and realized that this was actually the seaside. It was also the place where Kathleen was burned to death.
Sherri immediately screamed, “Ah!”
Why was she here?
Sherri turned around and was about to run back when she saw a black shadow walking towards her from afar.
The black shadow was getting closer and closer. Sherri’s entire body began to tremble. She was so frightened that she could not take it, but she did not want to be pulled back by the black shadow behind her.
She turned around and saw Kathleen’s half-smiling face. She immediately screamed out, “Kathleen Yates!”
Sherri desperately wanted to escape. Kathleen, dressed in black, appeared in front of Sherri. She tightly grabbed onto Sherri’s arm. “Sherri, do you still remember this place?”
“This is where you set me on fire four years ago!”
Sherri was so scared that she trembled all over and almost peed. “Kathleen, I don’t know. Don’t look for me. Let me go. It’s none of my business that you die… Don’t look for me!”
Kathleen sneered. “Ah, four years ago, the small cabin caught fire. Was it not you who started the fire?”
“I didn’t… It wasn’t me,” said Sherri, trembling with fear
Kathleen grabbed Sherri, her pitch-black eyes emitting a cold light in the middle of the night. She looked deeply at Sherri and said slowly, “Sherri, you’ll have to pay for all the bad things you have done sooner or later…”
“I’ll give you a chance. Turn yourself in immediately and tell me about the incident where you started the fire.”
“Otherwise, your Millan Group will disappear very soon, and your family will disappear as well!”
Sherri shook her head, not daring to look at Kathleen. “No, I didn’t. It wasn’t me! Kathleen, who asked you to lure John away? You brought this upon yourself. You’ve been dead for four years. Please don’t come looking for me. Just accept your fate!”
“Ha, accept your fate? It’s been four years. I’ve come back to get my revenge!”
“Sherri, I will slowly torture you. I won’t let you die so quickly.”
“Do you know how rats die? They were played to death!”
“Let’s play slowly!”
Sherri was so scared that her legs went soft. She pushed Kathleen away with all her might and turned around to run.
She ran and knocked into a person.
“Ghost! Ghost!”
Her whole body was trembling. She suddenly raised her head and saw that the person was Carson.
Sherri was stunned. “You… Why are you here?”
Carson grabbed Sherri and smiled coldly. “Why do you think I’m here?”
“Why? You’ve done too many bad things. Did a ghost come looking for you?”
Four years ago, he helped Sherri buy flammable materials because he had to pay off his gambling debts. He saw Sherri set the cabin on fire with his own eyes.
In the past four years, when he had no money, he had asked for it from Sherri. If he did not give it to her, he would threaten her with the truth.
In order to prevent John from finding out, Sherri had no choice but paid this gambler for four years.
She hated this person to death. Several times, she had wanted to kill him, but he had turned the situation around and escaped.
Why did she meet him again today? For the past four years, she had been living in the shadow of Carson threatening her.
He was always restless. He was scarier than a ghost.
“Ms. Millan, you haven’t given me money this month. Do you not want to give me money?”
Sherri shook her head. “I don’t have money. The Millan family is bankrupt. Let me go!”
Carson approached Sherri and said fiercely, “You don’t have money? Then ask John for it! If you don’t want it, I will help you get it!”
“How dare you! Carson, have I not given you enough money all these years? My family is bankrupt now, I won’t have any money in the future!”
“Then go to jail,” Carson roared.
When she heard that she was going to jail, Sherri’s heart shook violently. “No!” She screamed and fainted.
Carson kicked her fiercely. “Stupid woman, do you think I’ll let you go just because you don’t have money?”
“In Your Dreams!”
The next morning, Sherri had a splitting headache as she rubbed her head and opened her eyes.
She realized that she was actually in her bedroom.
Sherri suddenly sat up and said to the servant, “When did I come back?”
The servant opened her mouth and said, “Miss, you were drunk and rolled around at the door.
We helped you in.”
Sherri was shocked. Last night, she was drunk.
Then, she was brought to the seaside of Crafield by some unknown person.
Then, she saw Kathleen. That’s right, Kathleen. Could it be that Kathleen wasn’t dead?
How was this possible? At that time, she had clearly set fire to the small cabin. It was impossible for her to come back to life.
Moreover, John had carried her corpse and buried it.
Sherri’s face was deathly pale, and her entire body was trembling. What on earth was going on? Could it be that she had met a ghost last night?
Was it a ghost or an illusion? Was it real or fake?
When she thought of the words that Kathleen had asked her to surrender, Sherri’s face turned extremely ugly.
In the end, she had even bumped into Carson. This demon had asked her for money again.
At this moment, her cell phone buzzed.
Sherri lowered her head to take a look. It was another message from Carson. “Sherri, why aren’t you picking up the phone?”
“Sherri, I’m telling you, don’t try anything funny. If you don’t give me the money, I’ll send you to jail!”
“If you know what’s good for you, hurry up and give me the money. I want a million this time!”
“If you don’t give me the money, go and ask for it from John. I’ll make you, a murderer, pay with your blood!”
Sherri’s face turned pale, and she immediately called Carson..
