Deadly Doting Marriage Novel - Chapter 101
Chapter 101: Still Living in the Dream With Her
Sherri knew about John’s depression for the past four years. She would always wait for him at the bar.
She would wait for him to get drunk before bringing him back.
Erwin was no longer surprised by this scene.
After handing John over to Sherri, Erwin left with Carlos.
Sherri helped John into the car and drove away from the bar.
At this moment, it was already late at night. The night sky was hazy, the stars were bright, and the bright moonlight shone.
Sherri turned her head to look at John, who was lying on the ground, and her heart was filled with distress.
Four years ago, she was John’s fiancee. Four years later, she was still John’s fiancee.
Even though she had stayed by John’s side for the past four years, their relationship status had not changed.
She had not understood why. Why was it that after four years of Kathleen’s death, not only had John not treated her better, he had even treated her worse?
He was actually very close to that psychologist.
[t was as if she had chased away the wolf but met a tiger. The situation was getting worse by the day.
When Sherri was driving, her phone suddenly rang. She glanced at the phone, and her heart shook violently.
The phone kept ringing as if she would not stop until she picked up the phone. Sherri had no choice but to park her car by the roadside and get off to answer the phone.
A sinister smile came from the other end of the phone. “Ms. Millan, have you prepared the money for this month?”
Sherri was furious. “Carson Larsen, how much money have I given you for the past four years? I won’t give you anymore in the future!”
“Hehe, if you don’t give it to me, then you can just rot in jail. Don’t forget what you bought from me four years ago. What are you going to do with it?”
Sherri’s mind went blank. She looked at John, who was still asleep in the car. Only then did she feel relieved.
She lowered her voice. “What do you want to do? Don’t forget how much money I’ve given you for the past four years. Don’t be insatiable!”
“Hahaha, so what if I am greedy? I’m the only one who knows what you’ve done. If you want to live a peaceful life, you’ll have to give me money until you die!”
“I’m afraid that I’m the only one who knows that you bought inflammable from me four years ago and set fire to the beach. Even the police don’t know about it. Haha!”
“I don’t have money!”
“Heh, you don’t have money? You’re Mr. Lambert’s fiancée. How could the young lady of the Millan family not have money? If you don’t have money, you can ask John for it. If you don’t dare to ask for it, I can help you. I will ask John to give me money. He will definitely give it to me because I can give him the only thing he has wanted for the past four years!”
Sherri almost broke down. “Don’t do anything rash. I will give it to you. I will call you tomorrow!”
“Yes, that’s a good girl. Don’t worry. I only want money. As long as you give me what I want, the secret will die with me.”
Sherri hung up the phone and looked at the lights on the side of the road. Her pitch-black eyes were filled with malice.
“Then you shall die! Don’t blame me for being impolite!”
Sherri returned to her car and drove away.
When they reached the Lambert’s residential villa, Sherri supported John as they entered the hall.
Barkley walked up to them, and the two of them carried John to the bedroom.
John was lying on the bed with his eyes closed. His expression was one of extreme pain. “Kathleen, Kathleen, where are you? Can you come back? I was wrong!”
Sherri approached him and said softly, “John, I’m Sherri!”
John opened his eyes and saw Sherri’s face.
He pushed Sherri away with an extremely cold expression. “Who let you in! Scram!”
“I’m your fiancée. Why can’t I come in?”
Sherri looked at John and said sadly, “It’s been four years, John. Can it be that four years of companionship still won’t let you forget Kathleen?”
John said furiously, “Do you think you’re worthy of mentioning Kathleen’s name?”
If it were not for the engagement with Sherri, Kathleen would not have refused to accept him for so long.
John pointed outside the door and said, “Scram, I don’t want to see you again!”
Barkley looked at the agitated John and said to Sherri, “Ms. Millan, why don’t you leave First!”
“You knew young master’s situation. He’s already feeling depressed, so don’t provoke him anymore!”
Sherri was heartbroken and shook her head, “Alright, I’ll leave, I’ll leave!”
She wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes and turned around to leave the Lambert’s residential villa.
When she returned to the car, her eyes were red and shot out a cold light.
Barkley covered John with a blanket and was about to wash John’s prosthetic leg.
When John saw this, he snatched the prosthetic leg away. “VVho told you to touch my prosthetic leg? Scram!”
Cleaning and disinfecting the prosthetic leg was originally Kathleen’s job. Ever since Kathleen’s death, he had never allowed anyone to touch it again.
It was also because he did not properly take care of the prosthetic leg that his leg was no longer as healthy as before.
When it was inflamed, and his walking was a little defective, John did not care…
Barkley originally wanted to take advantage of the fact that he was drunk to wipe it for him. In the end, he was still scolded and could only leave with his tail between his legs.
John lay on the bed. His face was slightly red as he looked at the ceiling drunkenly. His mouth was still chanting Kathleen’s name as he closed his eyes in pain.
Sydnay.
That was none other than the mysterious descendant of the Yates family. The family was a direct bloodline of emperor Adrian.
Adrian was the descendant of the Mandray dynasty. As the times changed and they escaped a historical genocide, his family became what was known as the Yates family of modern-day.
The Yates family was a mystery in Sydnay. It had an astronomical amount of assets. They were pretty much the main pillar of the country’s economy.
In the golden and resplendent castle, dark green vines intertwined with each other on the white walls of the castle.
It had golden glazed tiles and high-end luxury furniture.
A flag was on the top of the castle, fluttering in the wind.
On the castle’s third floor was a small balcony, and inside stood a beautiful girl.
She was dressed in green, and her long hair reached her waist. Her slender body was leaning against the railing.
She looked into the distance. There were a few geese flying in the air.
Not far away, a man walked over.
The person who came was tall and big. His eyes were deep, and his nose bridge was high. His red lips were beautiful, and his handsome face could tell that he was of a different race.
He took a cape and approached the girl. He draped it over her body, and his brown eyes were filled with infinite affection. “Kathleen, it’s cold. Put on the cape. Be careful not to catch a cold!”
That’s right. This girl was Kathleen, who had burned to death in the small cabin four years ago. She did not die but was saved by Bach Taylor standing beside her.
Kathleen saw him and smiled faintly. “Why are you like my mother? You’re always worried that I’m sick. I’m not that weak!”
Bach’s brown eyes were filled with affection. “I know if you’re weak or not…”
Kathleen looked into the distance and did not speak.
Bach looked at Kathleen’s delicate side profile and said gently, “Kathleen, do you want to go back?”.
