Cultivation Chat Group - Chapter 2406
2406 Tyrannical Song’s Side Hustle
“How are you going to arrange it?” Song Shuhang asked.
Though he had been keeping a low profile recently to avoid drawing the attention of certain power players, this was the Spirit River Su Clan’s annual meeting. Since there were no outsiders, a high-profile entrance wouldn’t be out of place.
“Give me a moment to think about how to incorporate you into the opening sequence of the annual meeting,” Su Clan’s Seven responded.
He had been pondering whether to construct a spiraling stage to elevate Song Shuhang during the last part of the Spirit River Su Clan’s opening ceremony and lead him into the Wealth Throne segment.
However, the more he thought about it, the more he felt this approach was somewhat old-fashioned and lacked the desired impact.
Thus, regarding Tyrannical Song’s entrance, he decided it was best to discuss it with the Spirit River Su Clan’s annual meeting committee. More minds might generate a better idea.
Song Shuhang laughed. “I’ll cooperate with whatever plan you and the other seniors come up with.”
“I’ll take you to a rest area first. Oh, and here’s a token for you,” Su Clan’s Seven said, handing out two tokens to Song Shuhang and Soft Feather. “Feel free to explore the Spirit River Su Clan. As long as the token shows the area is clear, you can go anywhere without hindrance. If it sends out a red alert, avoid that area. Those are typically where clan members are in seclusion, and it’s best not to disturb them.”
“Don’t worry, Senior Seven. We’ll be careful to steer clear,” Soft Feather assured him.
In the cultivator world, it was well-known not to disturb areas where cultivators were in seclusion. The need for quiet was paramount—unlike Song Shuhang, who would have his primordial spirit wander while in seclusion.
Song Shuhang nodded while appreciating the convenience the token would provide for scouting the area.
…
Su Clan’s Seven led Song Shuhang and Soft Feather to a pre-arranged rest area, specially designated for members of the Nine Provinces Number One Group.
He planned to meet up with his fellow group members before the annual meeting.
“You can rest here for now or explore the Spirit River Su Clan. I’ll come find you later and introduce you to the culinary arts of the Su Clan’s Immortal Chefs,” Su Clan’s Seven said.
Being one of the main organizers of the annual meeting, he was too busy to stay.
“Go ahead with your tasks, Senior Seven,” Song Shuhang replied cheerfully.
They would be more relaxed exploring without Senior Su Clan’s Seven around.
“Contact me if you need anything,” Su Clan’s Seven said while waving to Song Shuhang before leaving confidently.
Song Shuhang was still a figure of trust for the seniors in certain respects.
…
After Su Clan’s Seven departed, Song Shuhang, along with Soft Feather and all the pendants, began to explore the vast Spirit River Su Clan territory.
Lacking a guide, Song Shuhang randomly picked a direction and started walking.
The spiritual energy in the Spirit River Su Clan was abundant, likely due to the clan’s spiritual veins.
About half an hour later, as they passed a small mountain, Song Shuhang and Soft Feather’s waist tokens emitted red lights and vibrated slightly as a warning.
“There must be members of the Spirit River Su Clan in seclusion here. Let’s go around,” Song Shuhang suggested.
Soft Feather nodded in agreement.
As they were about to leave, a puzzled voice came from a cave abode at the mountain’s base.
“Eh?” It was a woman’s voice, low and questioning.
Just a few steps away from the cave abode, the fairy’s voice rang out again.
Then, she quickly transmitted a message to Soft Feather and Song Shuhang.
Song Shuhang was puzzled.
“Could you two Fellow Daoists please come back for a moment?” the woman’s voice was filled with hope.
Song Shuhang and Soft Feather exchanged glances and then returned to the edge of the cave abode, but they did not enter the cave’s area to avoid any potential mishaps.
“Ah, that’s the feeling,” the woman’s voice softened.
Song Shuhang was speechless.
“Fellow Daoists, would you mind staying here for a short while? Just about five minutes should do,” the woman’s voice was hopeful.
Before Song Shuhang could respond, Fairy Creation suddenly appeared. “What’s happening?”
“I know this request is quite bold, and I’m aware it will take up your time… I can compensate you with spirit stones, though I don’t have many left—just a small box with a little over thirty spirit stones of the Sixth and Seventh Stages,” the woman’s voice sounded increasingly guilty as she felt her offer was insufficient.
“Do we just need to stand here?” Song Shuhang inquired.
“Five minutes?” Soft Feather asked while blinking.
“Yes, if that’s alright… I apologize for the scarcity of spirit stones. If it’s too much, three minutes will suffice,” the woman’s voice grew fainter.
“No problem, we can stay for five minutes,” Song Shuhang agreed.
“Senior Song, are you in need of spirit stones?” Soft Feather asked, curious.
“Well, it’s always good for a man to have some spirit stones on hand,” Song Shuhang remarked.
“Then I’ll stay here with you for a bit,” Soft Feather decided.
“Thank you, Fellow Daoists,” the woman exclaimed joyfully.
After speaking, she resumed her secluded cultivation and made the most of the opportunity.
Outside the cave.
“Pavilion Master Chu,” Song Shuhang reached out and lightly touched Pavilion Master Chu’s hair. “Why do you think the fairy in the cave wants Soft Feather and me to stay here?”
“I’d guess that the cultivation techniques you or Soft Feather practice are positively influencing her. Fire borrows the power of the wind, wood from the earth. Sometimes, cultivation techniques resonate with each other. She’s likely at a bottleneck in her seclusion and could use your strength for a breakthrough,” Pavilion Master Chu speculated.
About four minutes later, the fairy’s voice, filled with excitement, echoed from the cave. “Thank you, Fellow Daoists. Please accept these spirit stones!” A small box flew out of the cave and gently landed in Song Shuhang’s hands. “I wish I could thank you in person, but I’m in a critical phase of my seclusion. Please understand.”
“You’re welcome,” Song Shuhang replied while opening the box to find ten Seventh Stage spirit stones and over twenty Sixth Stage ones.
The amount was perfect for him and Soft Feather to share equally.
“Earning a little extra like this is surprisingly easy,” Song Shuhang mused while holding the spirit stones, his eyes brimming with happiness.
He had never imagined earning spirit stones could be so effortless.
Interestingly, this was his first time earning a legitimate side income in spirit stones.
