Chapter 90 Make Trouble for Her
Sun Linhua was familiar with the smile. It was rare to see a smile on Shen Qianshan’s face. He seemed to be smiling, but he was sneering. Perhaps he was considering how to kill her with the knife, wasn’t he?
“Yes.” Sun Linhua admitted. She had never tried to shirk the responsibility since the day she took action. She couldn’t accept that Shen Qianshan fell in love with this woman. What was more unacceptable was that this woman was pregnant with his baby. If she couldn’t kill the woman, she was determined to kill her baby.
She thought it was worthwhile to kill the baby at the cost of her own life.
“Why did you do that?” Shen Qianshan’s voice was as cold as before. He looked Sun Linhua in the eye. His curious eyes repressed his anger. He knew she didn’t have a reasonable explanation. In fact, he was looking for an excuse to kill her immediately.
Sun Linhua was anomalously calm with an expressionless face. She simply explained, “She is unqualified to give birth to a child for you.”
“Great. Sun Linhua, listen. No matter whom you kill, my child or my wife, no matter whether the position of my wife is vacant, you will never have a chance. You have been around me for so many years, but I have never took you seriously. Don’t you understand?” Shen Qianshan tried to talk with her patiently, but she knew he had little patience left.
Sun Linhua raised her head slowly, looked at his eyes, and said with a smile, “I know you love each other, but is there so much happiness in the world? Now that she suffers from nothing, I’d like to make trouble for her.”
Then Shen Qianshan struck his short knife at Sun Linhua and stabbed her neck like lightning.
Sun Linhua’s eyes sparkled and looked shiny. Then she smiled faintly. Her lips were thin. It was said that people with thin lips were heartless. However, she thought herself more ridiculous because Shen Qianshan was heartless instead. She had done a lot for him during all these years staying by his side. But in the end, she was killed by him.
Had he ever put himself in her shoes for one second? If it had not been for love, why did she risk her life for him time and time again? Who gave him the strongest support? Who could do anything for him?
His knife was icy and ruthless as if he would use it to kill her anytime. In his eyes, her life was as light as a feather. He would let go of it at any time, letting it go with the wind.
She burst into laughter, which sounded sad and scary. Everyone else stared at her with surprising eyes, thinking she had become insane.
Gusu Liang cleared her throat and walked forward to stop Shen Qianshan. Though Sun Linhua did something disgusting and inexcusable, she had worked for him for so many years after all.
Even a heartless man could remember what this woman had done for him when facing her.
But Shen Qianshan had no hesitation and said coldly, “It’s useless.”
At that moment, his knife cut the vein of Sun Linhua’s neck, and the blood gushed out. It was too late for Gusu Liang to dodge. The blood sprayed over her.
She wiped the blood from her face with slightly trembling hands, but she pretended not to see it. She felt her eyes were covered by the red blood.
Sun Linhua fell on the ground slowly with her eyes wide open in terror. It seemed that she didn’t believe what happened, but she had already died.
The Empress wiggled restlessly on the bed. The lower part of her body was so wet as if she was in the water.
She groaned something. Shen Qianshan moved closer, listened next to her mouth, and heard her saying, “Baby…my baby…baby.”
She usually said she didn’t care about children, including Shen Qianshan’s kid. But she was very sad. It was a life.
Shen Qianshan waved, signaling to others to leave. Gusu Liang looked at Sun Linhua, whose blood had been frozen. She and Jin Ye pulled out the corpse. The bloody smell pervaded the room, which was not large but fancy. Shen Qianshan buried his head between his legs, and his head ached terribly. He firmly believed that the baby the Empress had lost belonged to him.
No matter how frequently he bickered with the Empress, he had never thought the baby would be aborted one day.
In the other world, when Gu Qiang woke up in the yard, she saw Prime Minister Gu and Ye sitting under the pear tree and drinking tea leisurely. The fragrance of tea pervaded the whole yard. Obviously, the tea leaves were superb. She got dressed, walked out, and greeted them.
Prime Minister Gu put down the cup, looked up at Gu Qiang coldly, cleared his throat, and said, “Qiang, where have you been these days?”
When looking at the eyes of Prime Minister Gu, Gu Qiang found they were emotionless without any love she was longing for or any hope to keep her here.
“I had something to do. I’m sorry for making you worried.” Gu Qiang withdrew her eyes and looked indifferent as if she saw nothing. Her smile made Prime Minister Gu and Ye uncomfortable.
“What do you have to do? You are a girl. Do you know how important your reputation is? I am disgraced by you often showing yourself in public.” Prime Minister Gu swept the cup from the table with force. It seemed that only in this way could he show how angry he was.
Ye sat next to him and covered her eyes with a handkerchief. As pretending she was too scared to look, she appeared pleased. A smile could be seen at her arched eyebrows and mouth corners.
But she pretended to be casual, rushed to stop Prime Minister Gu, and scolded Gu Qiang, “Qiang, apologize to your father, and then this thing is over. You are the eldest daughter in the family. Why can’t you be a good girl?”
Ye was taking advantage of the chance to find fault with Gu Qiang. After all, Prime Minister Gu wouldn’t overthink, no matter what she said.
She thought Gu Qiang would endure without protest to at least spare the blushes of Prime Minister Gu. However, Gu Qiang stood up suddenly and asked Prime Minister Gu, “Are you disgraced by me?”
Prime Minister Gu hadn’t expected Gu Qiang would react so violently, so he thought she was more and more annoying. He also found she would reach out for a yard after taking an inch due to a lack of discipline.
“Don’t you think so?” Prime Minister Gu said with a straight face as if waiting for Gu Qiang to do something to save his face.
But Gu Qiang didn’t do what he expected. Instead, she responded coldly, “Father, who dares to disgrace you to your face? How arrogant! Are you willing to endure the insult?”
Prime Minister Gu was made speechless by what Gu Qiang said. He sat down on the chair heavily and felt helpless suddenly. He wanted to say something. At this moment, Granny Zhang rushed in and told Prime Minister Gu smilingly, “Sir, the Third Prince has come here to talk with you about his marriage with Miss Zhihua.”
Prime Minister Gu and Ye stood up quickly and dashed out crazily. When arriving at the door, Ye turned around and smiled at Gu Qiang complacently.
Gu Qiang smiled back at her. After she returned to her room, Gusu Liang walked out, passed her something from the table, and said quietly, “My Lady, I’ve heard that you fell in love with my master. He asked me to give it to you. Be sure to keep it well.”
Gu Qiang took over the box. Before she opened it, Ting Feng entered hurriedly and looked unhappy, “My Lady, Gu Zhihua fell into the water.”
Without lifting her eyes, Gu Qiang tapped her fingers rhythmically on the box and observed the pattern on the box. It was a strange but beautiful flower.
“How is she now? Did the Third Prince say something?” Shen Zhongbai must have said something that hurt Gu Zhihua, so she reacted this way. But it was unnecessary to pay much attention to the trick. No matter what she did, the result wouldn’t be changed.
Gu Qiang was familiar with Shen Zhongbai. If he loved a woman, he could do anything for her. But if he didn’t, he wouldn’t change his attitude no matter what she did. Of course, Gu Qiang knew he wouldn’t love any women. He only loved himself.
Looking at Gu Qiang’s reaction, Ting Feng didn’t know what to say. If she told Gu Qiang what happened over there, she might not be so calm.
Ting Feng said carefully, “My Lady, you’d better go there and have a look. If the Third Prince hadn’t said he disliked Gu Zhihua and was determined to marry you, Gu Zhihua wouldn’t have been so irritated.”
“What did he say?” Gu Qiang stood up, turned around, and winked at Gusu Liang. The latter followed her out immediately. They walked towards the front yard. When they just arrived there, something purple rushed towards them. Actually, it was a petite person. But if being knocked, Gu Qiang would die.
Luckily, Gusu Liang was agile. When the purple thing rushed towards them, she kicked it away no matter what it was. After it stopped, Gusu Liang gulped, only to find it was the Third Lady, Gu Zhihua. She collected herself from the ground tearily, pointed at Gu Qiang, and cursed, “Bitch! Bitch! Are you satisfied now? I can’t marry the Third Prince, but you can. You’ve dreamed of that for a long time, right?”
Gu Qiang stood there, listening to Gu Zhihua’s howl. Then she saw Prime Minister Gu and Ye who seemed angry behind the Third Prince. Looking at Gu Zhihua, Ye touched her forehead and felt helpless against her daughter. Even if Gu Zhihua was just a concubine of the Third Prince, her desire would be satisfied. Anyway, so long as she could live together with the man she loved, it would be enough. Did the status matter? For example, though Ye was a concubine, she had climbed to the position she wanted. The most important thing was the result rather than the beginning.
Ye walked over to help Gu Zhihua up and then turned around to glower at Gu Qiang. She opened her mouth and wanted to say something. But she had to repress her anger reluctantly in the presence of the Third Prince and Prime Minister Gu. She told Gu Qiang, “Qiang, you’ve gone too far. The Third Prince doesn’t love Zhihua because of you, and you’ve also injured Zhihua now. Is it because you are an infanta?”
