Chapter 93: Chapter 93 Interrogation and Cultivation (Three more chapters for monthly votes)
Facing the situation with Feng Jing, Feng Jun didn’t know what to say. Do you actually have twenty stocks in your hand?
He even thought of Zhang Shaohong, the fund manager introduced by Zhang
Wei,
For cases like Feng Jing’s, one could consider handing over the funds to a fund
to manage.
But if it were so, it would seem that he would have nothing to do with it, and besides, are funds really reliable?
After thinking it over, Feng Jun still decided to say, “I’ll note down your stocks
and see if I can help you analyze them later.”
While speaking, he swiped open his mobile phone and added the stocks to his favorites list.
“Thankyou so much,” Feng Jing said with a laugh, her smile incredibly charming.
Feng Jun watched, his heart fluttering, unable to help but exclaim, “I didn’t expect you to be a little rich lady.
Of course, when he said this now, there wasn’t much envy; he was just teasing
her.
Not to mention anything else, just the piece of jade in the backpack on the chair next to him was worth thirty-five million, so his tone was very lighthearted.
“That belongs to my father,” Feng Jing replied just as lightly, with a bit of pride
in her voice.
“I have a public position, own a music store, and make money teaching… I can completely support myself, live better than the average person. Why would I need his stuff? He raised me, fulfilled his obligations; I can’t ask anything more
from him.”
Feng Jun couldn’t help but give her a thumbs up, “Impressive.”
He truly admired this woman. Thinking of himself, a distinguished graduate with dual degrees from a 985 university, he had been toiling for three years since graduation. Now he was stuck in a rut, less accomplished than her, a
“delicate” woman.
This time, however, Feng Jing didn’t bask in his flattery but glanced at him, “You’re not bad either, if that two hundred and fifty thousand was earned by you.”
“Of course I earned it myself,” Feng Jun said, puffing out his chest, but during this, he hesitated for a moment.
Strictly speaking, he hadn11 earned it himself; it came from a stroke of luck, which caused him to hesitate.
But then it struck him, and he was at peace again. A stroke of luck was his own luck after all. This world has no absolute fairness. Look at those who master the skill of reincarnation; knowing only that one trick, they enjoy a life of endless benefits.
As for himself, he had to strive in the space provided by his mobile phone. If he hadn’t been careful, he’d have been done in by a porcupine or the Gu Family ages ago.
Unfortunately, Feng Jing noticed his slight hesitation.
She smiled faintly, “Is that so? I thought it was because of your family… You guys at the KTV, you really know how to make a racket.”
When she brought that up, Feng Jun couldn’t help but laugh too. Then he thought of how the ugly woman had blossomed with joy, followed by the memory of Li Qiang’s distressed expression, and he ended up laughing so hard he couldn’t catch his breath.
At first, Feng Jing didn’t mind, but as she saw him laughing so exaggeratedly, she couldn’t help but ask.
Once she heard the whole story, she was holding her stomach and bending over with laughter.
“Hey hey, haven’t you seen a woman before?” Feng Jing still had a trace of a smile on her face, so her scolding sounded a bit coquettish, “Sister is taken.
“Noway?” Fengjun said, looking shocked, “When you had a cold, and used cupping therapy, wasn’t there nobody to take care of you?”
In fact, what he wanted to say was—it really didn’t matter to me whether you were taken or not-since you’ve played “Nearby People” anyway.
Feng Jun didn’t consider himself a good man, but he didn’t have the habit of dragging a decent woman down either; it was always about mutual consent.
As the saying goes-a fly won’t land on a flawless egg; if there is a crack, you can’t blame the fly’s lack of morals.
“Nobody taking care of me doesn’t mean I don’t have a husband,” Feng Jing responded slowly, then gave him a sidelong glance, “Do you know why I love Xiang Cuisine? Because I’m Hunanese.”
“Hunanese women are great,” Feng Jun offered a thumbs up. For Xiao Feng’s happiness, he went all out today and rather cheesily said, “The old saying goes, Hunanese women are passionate.
“Yes, Hunanese women are passionate,” Feng Jing looked at him with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile, “Aren’t you afraid I’ll divorce my husband and cling to you?”
Hearing this, Feng Jun was stunned. Ever since he broke up with his girlfriend, he hadn’t reconsidered marriage. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to, but he was very aware of his material deficiencies and didn’t have the qualifications to consider it.
Now, with a windfall and some money in hand, one could say he had the qualifications, but he hadn’t adjusted to his new status yet. He was busy searching for jade and the Cultivation Technique, not settling down to think about it.
However, to be honest, Feng Jing’s qualifications were much better than his ex-girlfriend’s in all respects, whether it was her figure, appearance, eloquence, independence, or financial status; they all overwhelmingly surpassed his ex-girlfriend.
To put it another way, his impression of her was pretty much like Sister Hong s
– not someone he was qualified to think about back then. To forcefully entertain such thoughts would be humiliating… and that’s putting it lightly.
If Feng Jing had talked about marriage with him back then, his first reaction would probably be disbelief.
At the very least, he would be too elated to find his bearings.
But now that she said this, he hesitated, “I really have never thought about getting married. Isn’t it all just for fun?
No matter what, he was now someone who had stumbled upon a strange encounter; getting married to a… what, the second-in-command?
It just goes to show that people truly change with their environment and personal circumstances.
While he was still stunned, Feng Jing stood up, casually picked up her coat from the back of the chair, and spoke with a smile, “I’m done eating… No matter what, I’m very happy to have met you today.”
Feng Jun awkwardly stood up, forcing a smile, “You know, we still don’t know each other well enough. Rushing into marriage… I don’t mind, but I’m afraid you might regret it later. It’s better to date a little longer.” In his haste, he couldn’t find a good excuse. Managing to say that was already quite quick-witted of him.
“Lookhow frightened you are,” Feng Jing laughed heartily, her laughter causing her to shake like blooming branches, like the earth awakening to spring.
Feng Jun became even more embarrassed. He cleared his throat and made a feeble argument, “I’m not frightened; I’m thinking of your best interest… Making one wrong choice is fine, but if you choose wrong a second time, what will others say about you?”
Feng Jing put on her coat, picked up her purse, and walked towards the exit. Then with a stern face, she said, “I’ll be honest with you. I can’t possibly get divorced, absolutely impossible.”
Feng Jun followed her to see her out, and upon hearing her words, he asked in astonishment, “Why can’t you get divorced?”
As he asked, he had already imagined various possibilities, including her being the second wife of some “VIP.”
However, Feng Jing waved off the subject with an absent-minded air, “Forget it, let’s not talk about this now. We’U talk about it another time.
Feng Jun hailed a taxi for her and helped open the door, then he suddenly remembered something, “I haven’t asked how I should address you.”
But Feng Jing just poked half her face out of the car window, smiled at him, and waved, “See you!”
Feng Jun watched her depart and then hurried back to the hall, relieved to find his backpack still there.
Then, he began to question himself: I’ve had two encounters today. As long as I have the intention to marry, between Ye Qingyi and Feng Jing, I should be able to succeed with one of them, right?
Since when did I start to feel such an aversion to marriage?
He thought that it wasn’t necessarily self-inflation brought on by his extraordinary experiences; perhaps he had just become disillusioned with the current state of society and people’s hearts.
As he was brooding over this, a waiter approached him, “Sir, would you like to order a main dish?”
Feng Jun knew this was a polite way of reminding him to pay the bill; after all, there were two diners, and one had already left.
However, he really did need to order a main dish, so he nodded, “Bring me a portion of braised pork with rice… no, make it three for starters.” The Xiang Cuisine Restaurant’s rice dishes were quite affordable, serving a larger bowl than both Hangzhou and Cantonese cuisine dishes. Even so, Feng Jun ended up eating five servings of rice dishes and cleared all the table’s dishes before he settled the bill and stood up.
Not only the waiter but several patrons at nearby tables watched in amazement, and someone even muttered under their breath, “Has this brother just been released from somewhere?”
After leaving the restaurant, Feng Jun felt much more at ease, “Lately, I’m really not up for making appointments. With this energy, I’d better focus on practicing the’Tai Chi Breathing Technique’.”
He felt it was inappropriate to practice in a hotel room, so he decided to head to a nearby park instead.
The park wasn11 very large, just over three hundred acres, but it had lakes, artificial hills, woods, plazas, and of course, middle-aged and elderly people doing square dancing.
Feng Jun arrived at the lakeside and chose a spot with lush trees. He slightly spread his feet to shoulder width, gripped the ground with his toes, squatted slightly, shifted his weight down, and began to practice the Horse Stance. The great thing about Tai Chi breathing is that you don’t need to continue meditating. Even when practicing the Horse Stance, you can circulate blood and qi for cultivation.
He practiced the first three forms of the twelve diagrams one by one, feeling no obstacles whatsoever.
Especially the fourth diagram of the third form, initially slightly stagnated due to the inverse circulation of the meridian, but as his proficiency increased, the practice became faster and faster. Eventually, the Qi Force felt as if it were a runaway horse, almost uncontrollable.
Yet, his circulation of blood and qi no longer had that pressing need to be released.
Feng Jun didn’t know how long he had been practicing until he began to feel a slight hunger, so he stopped and opened his eyes.
He took out his mobile phone to check the time, and it was just past one in the morning.
There were street lamps by the lakeside in the park, along with fences and warning signs. Feeling an abundance of energy that he couldn’t fully unleash, Feng Jun flicked his finger towards the lake, and a burst of Qi Force shot out from his fingertip, following his intent.
