Alpha's Substitute Bride - Chapter 96
Chapter 96: I Can’t Leave Her Behind
Atticus’ POV:
I was already standing at his office door when Soren shouted that Eloise was missing and tried to hang up on me. I opened the door and urged him to hurry up and bring his men with me.
I knew it would turn out like this. I had already expected this to happen when I handed over the document.
There was no way Lisa wouldn’t know about it after we found out about it. She would never let Eloise go.
And now that Eloise’s phone could not be reached, it explained everything.
I sat in the back seat and listened to them discuss their strategy. I didn’t know where they were going, but I was sure they would save Eloise.
A boy was sitting next to me, playing with the computer seriously. He looked like he was unfamiliar with these people. He was even more of a bystander than I was. I observed him curiously, but he just turned his head.
“I don’t understand. How did they find her?” Soren said, confused.
“I think I’ve already made sure she had enough protection.”
“She must have answered their call,” the boy said.
“1f there’s enough time, we can use this method to locate her. However, we can also locate them.”
It was not difficult for the little boy beside Soren to do so. He located a location with a few clicks on the computer. He placed the laptop in front of the driver, and then we drove over at a crazy speed.
We had to find her.
“Don’t worry. We’ll make sure she returns to you,” the boy said.
I subconsciously wanted to refute him, but when the words reached my mouth, I couldn’t say them at all. He even laughed because of this.
‘You…” I could barely say anything else. He lowered his head and continued to look at his computer, refusing to communicate with me.
By the time we arrived, a few of the werewolves were holding a black bag.
Something was struggling inside the bag, and it was obvious that it was Eloise.
This was very urgent. We couldn’t wait any longer.
I gave control of my body to my wolf. Then, I changed my form and charged at them.
I couldn’t allow them to do this!
Some werewolves and vampires had captured Eloise. They also changed their forms and charged at me. I pinned them to the ground one by one. The vampire I couldn’t touch because he was too high up in the air also fell to the ground from Sorens silver bullet.
The little boy released Eloise from the black bag. I returned to my human form and ran over. I almost fell to the ground.
I charged at her.
Eloise was lying on the ground. She seemed to have lost all consciousness. She might have suffered even more if we had arrived a few minutes later. The werewolf holding her was on the ground, wailing in pain.
He said that someone had hired him, but since I’d never seen him before, there was a certain possibility of what he said.
However, this was no longer important now.
I looked at Eloise and didn’t know what to do, but perhaps it was the best choice to hand her over to these people. I hugged her, but I knew that if this continued, I wouldn’t just be hugging her.
“I think you should be the one accompanying him.” Soren looked at me.
But how was that possible? I didn’t think she would need me. After all, something was going on between her and Soren. However, before I could refute him, he opened the car door.
“Don’t forget that you have a mate connection between you two. This is the best way to comfort her. Don’t you agree?
When he said that, I was unable to refute him. I couldn’t deny this. So I could only sit beside her.
I couldn’t touch her, but I knew I was already giving her strength the moment I sat here.
She quickly woke up but didn’t look at me at first. She turned over, and I
handed her the blanket. She calmly wrapped herself in it, and when she realized it was me, she said nothing.
I looked at her through the rearview mirror. Eloise was even trembling. Her wet hair was on her face , making her look even more fragile.
I wanted to hug her. However, when I got close to her, she subconsciously moved away..
