Alpha's Substitute Bride - Chapter 91
Chapter 91: The Arrival Of The Storm
Eloise’s POV:
The phone suddenly rang, and I realized it was Atticus.
I looked at him and saw that he was staring at his computer screen. He didn’t seem to notice me at all. So I answered the phone with peace of mind.
Thinking of his impoliteness just now, I didn’t want to answer the phone, but by the time I reacted, I had already answered it.
“I’m honored that you called.” I tried my best to make myself sound sincere.
But the truth was that I was still holding a grudge against him for what he had done.
“There were some things I didn’t have time to tell you just earlier, and then I had something to do. So I’m very sorry.” The voice of the person on the other side was a little incoherent.
When I heard him apologize to me, I was in disbelief.
“It’s a great honor for you to apologize to me, but I think you must have something to do. As long as you can maintain our cooperation, we don’t mind.” I tried my best to answer this question without any personal feelings.
But the truth was when he said it, there was a hint of something else in his tone, and even I could feel it. So how did it turn out like? Was I still unable to let him go completely?
I secretly clenched my fists, but he didn’t seem to hear me. Instead, he just explained to me what he had just encountered. It was obvious the reason he had to hang up.
Even if he didn’t say anything, I didn’t want anything to do with Page.
“But I think we can consider what we are talking about,” Atticus said again. I kept my mouth shut under Bishop’s curious gaze and kept my complaints about Page to myself.
“I’m talking about traveling.”
I then realized that Atticus’ plan included giving the winner a free trip to their pack’s territory, which included a stay at the Presidential Suite and all other expenses. This sounded very good and feasible. There was nothing I couldn’t agree to, so I just responded affirmatively.
He didn’t sound as anxious as before, as if he had regained control of his life.
However, this had nothing to do with me. I hung up the phone and continued walking. I had to follow Bishop back to their place, and there was no way I
could avoid it.
‘Your expression is very strange.” I turned around and looked at Bishop. He had been like this since earlier.
“Do you have anything you want to know? I can tell you if I can. Your curiosity is written all over your face.”
The boy shook his head at first, but then he took a deep breath. The bodyguards behind him also looked at us awkwvardly.
‘That man is very important to you, right?” He seemed to have used much strength to say that. When he said that, my brain almost stopped working.
Was it important? To a certain extent, he was, but not in that sense. I thought that if possible, I didn’t want to see him again.
“I suppose you can say there is some enmity between us.” I thought about it and then answered him in the most appropriate way possible.
“I can see and hear with my eyes and ears.” My ears turned red as I heard what Bishop mumbled.
“Love is your privacy, right?”
I didn’t answer his question. I just sat in the car and looked out the window at the vampire hunter who came to take the vampire away.
Just as I thought, the vampire refused to say anything.
“He must be very eager to obtain something. ” My wolf sighed.
“That’s what the person who colluded with these vampires must be thinking.
And from the looks of it, these only appeared after we arrived here. Perhaps…”
‘It must be someone who can feel danger because of me.’ I suddenly thought of this.
In other words, I was in grave danger. That person was hiding in the dark like a poisonous snake, ready to come out and bite me at any time.
I had to be ready..
