Chapter 55: What Can I Do?
Eloise’s POV:
“Don’t worry too much. The deadline for your part has been changed. Didn’t Hanna and the others tell you?” Soren looked at me in surprise.
It was only then that I realized she only worried about my lost documents. She didn’t tell me to check my email.
I quickly opened my email. It was only then that I realized that the information inside had changed.
That was enough time for me to use the company’s drafts to draw up another draft.
“That’s great. I’ll have more time now. I wouldn’t know what to do if it wasn’t for that.” I heaved a sigh of relief.
“Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity… ”
“It’s your hard work that’s worth it. No one would be willing to wait for you if you weren’t outstanding enough. Am I right?” he said with a smile.
“Have a good rest. This is what you should be doing now.”
Three days later, I was finally discharged.
I felt that my bones were like rusty metal, no longer useful. But I had to say that I still feel much better than before I was admitted to the hospital.

I rarely showed it, so almost no one knew about it. I put on my jacket, completely covering it.

“Do you want us to protect you?” he suddenly asked. His expression was very sincere.
“I just thought you might need it, but I don’t want to cause you any trouble.”
It sounded nice, but it was just convenient for them to monitor me. I didn’t want it. I should have my life in privacy.
“Thank you, but there’s no need. I think I’ll be able to protect myself.” I didn’t want to have anything more to do with them.
I opened the umbrella and prepared to leave. But the moment I looked out the window, I was stunned.
Atticus was standing there. 1–1is clothes looked wet from the rain.
He was holding an umbrella as if he had just passed by.
But I knew that was impossible. He must have been standing here for a long time.
Was he waiting for the bus? I didn’t believe that.
“I didn’t expect you two to be so intimate now. If I’m not mistaken, you haven’t cut the mate connection with me yet. ”
His expression was like an octopus that had exploded in anger..
