Alpha's Substitute Bride - Chapter 39
Chapter 39: She’s My Mate
Eloise’s POV:
I looked at the people before me in shock.
What shocked me even more was that they were here to wait for Atticus.
“How did they know you were coming?” I asked him in a low voice.
These people didn’t seem good at using the electronic reservation system.
“Of course, I have a way to inform them,” Atticus moved his arm.
“So, can we go with them now?”
“Are you sure the tour guide and the others won’t worry? After all, you just left those three people in the deep mountains,” I retorted.
I didn’t want to go with these people because they were too suspicious. Perhaps Atticus was close to them, but I wasn’t.
“I’ve informed her. If I leave a signal, it means I will do what I’m going to do and not get lost,” Atticus replied seriously.
“But I still have to go back to work.” I disagreed with him.
“Don’t worry. I won’t take up too much of your time. ” He seemed to have been agitated by what I said. His expression instantly darkened.
I gave up on arguing with him.
“You haven’t told us what your relationship is with this woman. I think you know the rules. We’ve already discussed this when we were communicating.” The man was unhappy.
“She… “Atticus paused for a moment.
I could understand. After all, he couldn’t reveal our true relationship in front of these people. That would be a huge problem.
But if they left me here, I wouldn’t be able to hold on until the rescue team found me.
“We understand. She is your mate.” The other man suddenly laughed.
“That’s what you look like!”
What? That wasn’t it! I wanted to explain it to them, but after looking at their expressions, I understood that if I were to explain this, it would take more time.
“Yes, that’s right. She’s my mate.” Atticus held my hand naturally.
“This is also the reason why we are here. Now, can you take us away?”
The place they lived wasn’t too far from the hill, and we reached it very quickly. I sat in the wooden house and looked at the stream not far away.
I couldn’t describe this scene. It was truly shocking.
“Welcome to our pack.” The man who spoke more turned around. It was only then that I realized the difference between him and the other one. There was a scar on his face that was not very noticeable.
“I’m the Alpha here.” There was even a hint of pride in his expression.
Atticus and I followed him as we walked deeper into the forest. There was no one else here, so I did not doubt that it would be difficult for the guide to find us.
This feeling made me sad, but I had no better way to deal with it since I was blind.
“It’s hard to describe this feeling.” I looked at the mountain peak in the distance.
The scenery here was exactly what I’d been looking for.
I couldn’t help but take a picture of them all.
The children came over curiously and stared at the camera in my hand. I also shared the photos of the scenes I took with them. Although I couldn’t be sure if I would give them photos at the end of my visit, I would leave them gifts.
“VVhat’s the use of taking these?” The children looked at me curiously.
“I’ll design these into games.” I tried my best to explain to them.
“And games will always exist, and many people will see them.”
“That means everyone will see this place!”
They immediately became even happier. Then, they ran into the distance.
I kept the camera and continued to sketch.
At this moment, Atticus appeared in front of me. He was holding a plate of roasted meat.
Oh, Moon Goddess! I wanted to close the window so that he would stop bothering me!
After seeing me, he gave me the food. I took the food from him and thanked him, then I turned and continued to look at the drawing board before me.
To be honest, I didn’t want to see him at all right now. When I was still in love with him, seeing him made me happy. Now, it only made me feel troubled..
