Alpha's Substitute Bride - Chapter 34
Chapter 34: Away From The Threat
Eloise’s POV:
“Then, you can go home and pack your things today. We’ll leave tomorrow morning.” That was what my supervisor told me.
After a long period of anxiety, I’d already begun to look forward to those days.
While I was packing my luggage, I told Chloe about this.
“In short, I need to leave for a while.” I took a deep breath.
“But you’re going on a trip after all! So let me think, what else do you need to bring…”
“Be safe? Wear sunscreen? Other than that, there seemed to be nothing else to pay attention to. The scenery there is beautiful! Just take it as a vacation for yourself. ”
“Yes, I am. To me, this is great news.” I threw the sketchbook into my suitcase.
The next morning, I arrived at the designated location. Hanna was already waiting for me there with her luggage. She looked even more excited than I was.
“I’ve looked up a guide. The scenery there is magnificent, so I brought a camera… There’s nothing more relaxing than a trip!” “Of course,” I answered with a smile.
“I think so too.”
To be able to get away from the threat of the Hil Pack, I felt very happy.
A man greeted us. I couldn’t recall his name, but he gave me a familiar feeling.
“I’m Lucas. I sit opposite you… Do you remember me?” He was trying his best to wave at us.
“Of course, I remember you,” said Hanna seriously.
“So this time, it’s just the three of us, right?”
“Yes, that’s why the mission is challenging,” he answered with a smile.
“I mean, have fun.”
When they arrived at the small town, it was already close to evening. The fiery red setting sun looked very beautiful on the hill, and the outline of the mountain range was like a silhouette.
Hanna stood beside me and quickly took out her camera.
[ took a deep breath. I now felt that I had made the right decision to come here. At least, I was thrilled now.
“We might go to the river tomorrow,” Hanna mumbled as she took photos.
“However, if the weather is bad, I might visit a museum. Anyway, it’s worth looking forward to…
Wait a minute, that sign! Those are the people welcoming us!”
[ followed her gaze and saw a shy little girl. She was curled up at the door, holding a sign with our company’s logo.
“How are you? I’m the younger sister of your tour guide… I only want to tell you that you might need to go with others to the pack.
After she finished speaking, she ran away at an unbelievable speed. This action made me suspect that she was a werewolf.
“After all, there is a limit to the number of guides. This is understandable.” After she left, Hanna said in a low voice.
“I just hope the person who came up the mountain with us isn’t too annoying.”
But I didn’t think like her. I was looking forward to this. Perhaps they might bring some inspiration to my creation.
According to her, those old packs were located in villages further away from the town. Even though it was difficult to reach, it had breathtaking scenery. “I don’t know why, but I have a strange feeling …” my wolf said.
“This feels bad.”
But what could there be? This place was far away from our pack, so there would definitely be no one we were familiar with here.
I tried to comfort it, but it didn’t work. So I could only give up on that.
“Our guide lives next door, so I think we should go and see her first.” I looked at the name card in my hand.
“Do you want to come with me?”
“Of course!” Hanna raised her camera and quickly followed me into the depths of the town.
The night view of the streets here was also very unique. If it weren’t for the person I didn’t want to see again appearing here, I would be very happy.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw him.
Oh, Moon Goddess, why was he here?
The moment I saw him, I had already decided to escape from this place..
