Atticus’ POV:

I looked at Lisa in surprise. I’d never seen the proud expression on her face that was reflected on the glass window earlier. That wasn’t like her. She was more like a vicious witch.

But after seeing me, she quickly changed her expression and continued to look weak. This made me doubt if what I just saw was real.

“Why are you holding my phone?” I found it very strange. Usually, she wouldn’t do this, and I wouldn’t allow her to do this.

However, this place was also my territory. Therefore, no one could do such a thing here.

Not excluding Lisa.

“Who were you secretly sending a message to?” I stared into her eyes.

I never thought that she would betray me. But when she picked up my personal belongings, it became a possibility.

“Ah, no. This person called the wrong number.” Lisa’s smile was forced.

I thought she was a little tired and not scared.

She waved the phone at me.

It was indeed the screen for a call, and after exiting the call screen, she would return to the lock screen. So there was no way she could have unlocked it.

I was not that suspicious of her anymore, but why did she have to pick up this call?
