I looked up at Atticus. I couldn’t read his mood. He hid his expression too well. However, at least I could be sure it was not sadness.

He looked much happier than I thought.

It was the same for me in the mirror. Although I thought my smile was forced, there was a different kind of emotion in my eyes.

I didn’t answer him and just got into the car quietly. I was not here for a vacation but to show that my relationship with him had improved. I was very clear about this.

“This kind of weather will help you recover from depression.” After the car started, Atticus passed me a glass of water.

I hesitated, but I still drank it. After all, we were still cooperating.

“This is why I wanted to bring you here.”

I looked at him and was stunned for a moment. Then, I tried my best to smile at him.

I suddenly felt it was not bad to be in contact with him. At least he was acting as if he cared about me.

Time passed by quickly in the car. I was almost entirely immersed in his schedule.

When I turned around and was about to protest against the suite he had booked, he kissed me without warning. When he got close, I looked at him with my eyes wide open. I didn’t know what to do, but I didn’t feel afraid.

This wasn’t quite the same as what happened to me before, but the mate connection could completely explain this because the mate connection made us people who live on the same level.

I almost couldn’t breathe. Then, I pushed him away. He looked at me, his eyes full of smiles.

“What’s wrong with you?” he asked me. Then, he laughed.

“We’re a couple now, so it’s normal for us to do this.”

This made me anxious because I suddenly realized I was very immature before him.

I also realized that my mood had improved.

This was the effect of the mate connection. Atticus’ actions made my wolf less anxious.

I was starting to feel despair.

In other words, I also needed him.

I couldn’t accept this.

It’d been a long time since we’d been like this.

I took a deep breath because I had not properly taken a breath. Atticus only looked at me with a slight smile on his face.

“I’ll teach you how to kiss properly,” he said as if he was joking.

After he said that, I realized that our car had stopped and we had already left the car. I didn’t feel anything because Atticus was hugging me. I jumped from his arms and said I could walk alone.

“Yes, your doctor suggested the same thing.” He seemed to sigh and then followed closely.

I noticed a weak reflection of light from the lens, which was a rare thing. I realized that there were indeed people taking pictures of us.

I didn’t know if Atticus hired them or if they were someone else. But in short, it was indeed better for this news to spread.

I could already imagine what kind of storm it would bring..
