Alpha's Substitute Bride - Chapter 127
Chapter 127: I Have To Find Her
Atticus’ POV:
“So, is there any news now?” I anxiously looked at the little boy in front of me and received a disdainful expression from him.
“Aren’t you an Alpha? You should be more patient. It won’t be that fast.” He spat out the lollipop in his mouth and threw it aside. Then, he opened a new web page.
I couldn’t completely understand the words that were flashing on it, but at least I knew that he was disappointed.
“There’s no news yet, but at least it means that she’s still alive, and she must be in this city,” the child concluded.
“Also, if you still can’t remember my name, I’m Bishop.”
“Based on her current state of mind, it might not be good news.” I tried my best to remain calm and ignore what he said.
I recalled the doctor’s diagnosis. She was on the verge of a mental breakdown. The reason was simple.
Her wolf thought that I had abandoned her.
I must admit that it did seem like it, but it wasn’t my intention. I just thought we should separate. There was no possibility of one abandoning the other.
If I saw her, I’d explain it to her.
“But don’t you think it’s too late to explain?” my wolf suddenly laughed.
‘You can’t solve any problems by thinking like this now.”
“But it needs an end,” I insisted.
I realized that I had to find her. No matter the reason, this was what I must do.
However, this wasn’t easy. After a few days of hard work, I discovered this problem. Coincidentally, there was no video recording that day. Even though Bishop looked for it with great effort, he could not find any traces.
“This means that someone has helped them hide the information.” He sighed.
“But to be able to help them hide to this extent, it’s easy to guess.
He shut his mouth.
It must have been the protection of a very powerful person. Even if he didn’t say it, I could sense it. Then, it would be difficult for me to take her away from this predicament.
I realized that this wasn’t as easy as it seemed. It was very likely that Eloise was already in the middle of some conspiracy.
“I’m very sorry.” Soren looked at me.
I didn’t know when he had entered the room, but I didn’t pay much attention to him.
But looking at his bandaged arm, I couldn’t say anything more.
There was indeed an accident that day. A chandelier fell. To save the girl who happened to be standing under the chandelier, Soren was injured. It was also because of this that he did not have the time to look for Eloise that day, and he had not seen Eloise for the past few days.
But now was not the time to blame him. The most important thing was to find Eloise.
So, Soren and I came to the hospital where Eloise was previously hospitalized.
This was one of the properties of a human family, so it was very quiet. However, this also meant that there was almost no one around.
Therefore, no one saw what had happened that day.
“This has become very difficult.” Soren sighed and moved his shoulders. I looked in the opposite direction and saw a small hot dog stall.
This wasn’t normal because no one here would buy a hot dog. I patted Soren’s shoulder and walked in that direction before him.
The stall owner was a young man who looked to be in his twenties. He had chunky headphones on his ears, so he couldn’t hear what we were saying. When he saw us walk to him, he was stunned for a moment, and then he smiled.
“How are you? What do you guys want to eat?” he asked enthusiastically.
I looked at him, but his expression clearly showed no flaws. I could only believe that he was a real stall owner for now.
‘We want to ask you something. Of course, I won’t waste your time for nothing,” I spoke as I took out a photo..
