Alpha's Substitute Bride - Chapter 126
Chapter 126: This Is Everything I Deserve
Eloise’s POV:
I didn’t know what time it was outside. Here, I could only look at the ceiling in boredom.
Lisa and the others were probably worried that I would do something if my mood worsened, so they brought me a CD and some books. However, they had a shopping receipt in the box.
No matter what, at least I knew the date today. I’d been here for two days. This was not a good sign.
It hadn’t been long, which was something to be happy about. But was there anyone who still remembered me to come and look for me?
The door was pushed open. Lisa appeared again. Behind her were two different girls. They were humans, and they understood werewolves very well. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be wearing silver protective gear.
Using such a dangerous method that had yet to be recognized? I didn’t have time to figure it out before the needle was inserted into my arm. It was painfully stirring inside.
However, this was still far from the pain I had experienced before.
However, I noticed a figure standing outside the door.
Even though I could only see a corner of his clothes, I was sure he was a human. If it were a werewolf, he’d notice me.
I turned my head as naturally as I could and looked at Lisa. Fortunately, she didn’t notice all my actions just now. She was still looking at the tablets in the servants’ hands.
If not for this occasion, I would say that this scene was like a scene from a TV drama. A beautiful girl was looking at the computer in the afternoon sun. Just the scene itself was enough to make people feel good.
‘What’s there to feel bad about? Didn’t you live like this every day in the past?” Lisa looked at me as if she had just seen a funny scene.
I seriously recalled the life I had when I was Atticus’ wife. Yes, there was no difference.
But I subconsciously wanted to retort.
‘Look at what the mate connection has turned you into. Even you’re starting to believe in Atticus.’
She laughed even more crazily.
“But this was supposed to be mine. This pack and everything here is glorious.” I was stunned.
This pain was initially brought to me by Atticus. However, it was also my fault for having such expectations of him back then.
As for me, I should also blame her, shouldn’t I? Although I was very grateful to her family for taking me in, she shouldn’t have taken so much from me. She almost took my life.
“Ah, you’ve been doing well in the Cotton family. That’s good news.” She took a few more steps forward. She looked at me and spoke sadly.
Her previous illness was real, so she always looked fragile. This was also something that was difficult for her to change.
I could feel it. She just looked good, but she was not all healthy. That was why she needed my bone marrow and blood.
But no matter what, she didn’t know that I could transform into a wolf, and she didn’t know that I wasn’t afraid of silver.
All I needed to do now was wait for the right moment.
She took a deep breath and left my room. When they were completely out of sight, I began to study the room properly.
The windows here were all sealed by thick curtains, but after all, my current role was a poor person on the verge of a breakdown because I had stopped taking my medicine. I grabbed the cup on the table and threw it at the wall.
Before the servants could rush in, I used broken glass to cut open the curtains.
My hand was also inevitably cut, but I felt no pain. These wounds would heal quickly anyway.
I just needed to know where I was.
I looked out the window through the crack.
When I was locked up in Atticus’ residence, I read many books. It included the part related to astrology. These could only help me now.
I believed I knew how to escape..
