Chapter 125: The Thing She Wanted
Eloise’s POV:
By the time I was fully awake, the sky was already bright. I didn’t know if this was the second day or longer, but I had at least slept for nearly twenty hours. My bones were aching all over, and it was obvious that they didn’t transport me here in a particularly comfortable way.
But that was no longer important. The important thing was I should find a way to get out of there.
I looked out the window.
This must be a manor or an apartment. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be such a good view. I looked at the pigeons flying by the window and couldn’t help but sigh.
Although the conditions there seemed to be good, my room was not like that. Many of the items here looked like they had not been used for a long time, as they had a faint moldy smell.
I might not have noticed this before, but now I could smell it.
I didn’t know how long it’d take for Soren to find out that I wasn’t at the party. Just the busy dance was enough to make him lose his mind.
Besides, even if he found out that I was not there, he might not be able to find me right away.
Someone suddenly appeared in my mind. However, I knew I could never count on Atticus to help me.
Rather than waiting for someone to find me, I might as well try my best to save myself.
When the stars were high up in the sky at night, I would think of a way to escape from this place. The stars would lead me. If I got to an area with people, I would have won a part.
At that moment, someone opened my bedroom door. At that moment, I pretended to be weak again. It was the silver handcuffs that I was wearing, the state I should be in.
“Eloise?” Lisa walked over. A few servants followed her. However, they didn’t come here to take care of me. They looked like they disliked me.
But they were indeed disinfecting. This made me feel strange. In other words, they still cared about hygiene, but why?
“Eloise, do you know why I brought you here?” Lisa looked at me, and her expression became gentler. But in the depths of her eyes, there was a frightening light.
I realized that she could still gain something from me. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have let me live in her current state.

“Eloise, you should know…” she sighed.
“1 want our pack to become more powerful, so I have to obtain more things.”
I suddenly realized that she wanted to get Atticus. Or rather, she needed to be Atticus’ mate, at least.
She didn’t just need my bone marrow; she also needed a part of my organs.
This was her true goal. This was the only way for her to have the highest chance of connecting to Atticus as a mate after my connection with him was broken.
Even though Atticus did not love her back then, she could still use the mate connection like this.
I could already imagine what she would do. Even though it had nothing to do with me, the things she wanted to take from me were enough to bring me close to death.
“Her blood test report is here. The residue in her blood will pose a threat to your health.” One of the servants passed a tablet to Lisa. She looked at the numbers on it and then looked at me. This time, her eyes showed some viciousness.
“Let’s leave her here so she doesn’t die,” she said coldly. Then, she lowered her head and looked at me.
“But at least ensure that the thing drawn from her won’t affect me. ”
I was so grateful for the medicine I’d taken all this time. Lisa had to wait for me to metabolize it before she could start extracting my bone marrow completely.
