Almighty Video Game Designer - Chapter 266
Chapter 266: Flame War
Soon, a flame war began on Weibo.
ZzzzOO: “@ Chen Mo, you’ve finally shown yourself? Must be great hiding in your shell the last few days huh? I’ve @ you for a few days now, took you long enough!”
After sending the Weibo, this attacker with the username ZzzzOO did as they did before, thinking of a reply while waiting for Chen Mo’s reply.
It didn’t take long for Chen Mo to send out his response.
“After all, my job is making games, and your job is to attack others on Weibo.
ZzzzOO choked on his spit, my goodness, Chen Mo replied so quickly! Not only did he retaliate, he even suggested that he was paid by someone to attack him!
Although they couldn’t think of anything quick, seeing that Chen Mo replied to one of the attacks triggered the other attackers to hop on.
“Haha, Chen Mo finally accepts the battle!”
“I knew that he couldn’t hold it in. Quick, get everyone in here, we’ll fight this to the end!”
“Remember everyone, we all have our jobs. Don’t just do personal attacks, we must combine that with dirt, and his private matters!”
“My turn!”
Soon, the haters came from all over the place to join in.
TaMo: “Hehe, you have no idea what’s about to hit you. Just you wait. Remember to have your phone by your side and have the emergency number on speedial.”
Chen Mo quickly replied.
“I heard inbred kids like using empty words to threaten others, mainly to ease their stress for being alive.”
This TaMo user was so mad that his head was about to explode, inbred? Isn’t Chen Mo a decent person? Why does he go for low blows like that?
The bystanders were enjoying the show, commenting under Chen Mo’s reply, “Haha, that threat was just like telling a kid to go straight home after school. You think Chen Mo is afraid of you? One punch from everyone in the experience store would be more than able to crush you!”
The haters were now mad.
Attacking others is what we do. No matter huge stars or influencers, we’ve attacked anyone who had the slightest bit of internet fame! You think a simple videogame designer would be able to beat us?
Get him! For our honour!
MellO: “Not doing your job properly as a videogame designer. No wonder you’re here counting your Weibo followers while other companies are counting bills.”
Chen Mo: “And you can only count your IQ using your ten fingers.”
InOutCode: “My goodness, isn’t it just someone who makes games? I thought it was some kind of huge star or entrepreneur, why is he so good at this?”
Chen Mo: “Have you trolls not done your homework? Whatever, I’ll do it for you. I’m Chen Mo. So far I’ve released the most profitable mobile game with nearly four hundred million RMB made in its first month. I’ve also made Warcraft, the most popular RTS on Earth. Thunderbolt Gaming Platform is the third largest video game platform in China, with fifty million long-term users. Of course, I’m also good at making casual games, Chinese style games, sandbox games, puzzle games… Could any of you trolls explain what these numbers mean?”
This got the stamp of approval from many of the onlookers.
“MY goodness, Chen Mo’s ego is through the roof, but I like this!”
“They asked if he was some kind of star or entrepreneur? How many entrepreneurs out there have higher net worth than Chen Mo? I don’t think there has been anyone of Chen Mo’s age who started from nothing to reach his level!”
“Hahaha, the trolls are so unprofessional. How could you not have heard of Chen Mo if you paid the slightest bit of attention to the video gaming industry?”
“They even managed to ask stupid questions like that. They are just embarrassing themselves, back off while you can!”
The attackers were really mad. Who hired that guy? He was terrible and unprofessional, even embarrassed us!
Get a professional here!
OrangeSauce: “Isn’t the whole point of fighting the price war for money? Why else would you do something charitable like that? You say one thing but you do other, I’ve seen many just like you!”
Chen Mo replied, “Only willing to act for profit is the old man’s instinct, but now it has become a norm of behavior for young people. Geez, do you guys not see anything other than money?”
OrangeSauce replied, “Are you saying that what you’re doing is purely for the benefit of the public? Let me ask you this, aren’t you losing money to promote your platform maliciously?”
“Some platforms take advantage of the new designers who don’t have any bargaining power and take seventy to eight percent of their revenues. You know deep down that the services they provide aren’t worth the money they are being paid. The garbage promotion that they provide, they’d still be overpaid if they took thirty percent. I’m not maliciously lowering the price, I’m just returning the price to where it should be.”
OrangeSauce: “Are you saying that the cut the other platforms take are bloated?”
Chen Mo: “You can decide for yourself if that is bloated. I’m not going to bother with trolls like you, all the industry professionals certainly understand this fact.”
SSAW: “I think there’s something wrong with your head. You’re a well regarded videogame designer and yet you’re here arguing with the fans. You’ll never gain my support!”
Chen Mo: “If I really do have fans like you, I’ll try everything to get rid of them. I’m really curious as to how you’re fertilizing yourself to grow into something so beautiful?”
SSAW: “You! You’re petty!”
Chen Mo: “I’m sorry but I am who I am. If I knew I would make someone so bad that they have to be admitted to the hospital, let the others know that they shouldn’t bother.”
They stopped replying.
Chen Mo looked around and didn’t find anything else that was worth replying to, then sent out another Weibo.
“Quickly, I thought there were quite a few of you, why are you guys taking so long? Where’s the professionalism?”
The trolls were utterly bad upon seeing this post, he’s even provoking us!
We’ll keep going at it, he’ll learn that this is what happens!
—
After a full twenty-four hours.
The attackers gave it their all. Some were commenting brainlessly, some tried to spill dirt, some sounded smart but didn’t give out any meaningful arguments, some were pretending to be for Chen Mo but were against him…
But Chen Mo managed to chase off all of them. Something they spent half an hour thinking would get a retaliation from Chen Mo in less than two minutes, and end up completely speechless!
From 8pm the first day to 8pm the next.
Chen Mo looked around and found that they didn’t have anything new to say. Some of their comments weren’t even coherent and seemed like they were confused.
Some of them went back to old topics from yesterday, probably just waking up to take their shift and haven’t caught up with yesterday’s arguments.
Chen Mo disappointingly shook his head. He still had quite a bit in him, but the attackers seemed out of gas.
“Not a single worthy one.”
Chen Mo seemed quite disappointed.
