A Sorcerer's Journey - Chapter 612
Chapter 612: Arbitrary Criss-Crossing (8)
The Book of Truth was like one slurping an endless string of noodle, unknown as to when it would end.
“Grimm, I’m going to regroup the Sorcerers, victory is clearly tilting toward our side in the battle situation here, all thanks to you!”
Seeing that the Spacetime seal would not be completed anytime soon on Grimm’s side, Ezma led three Sorcerers and the Twin-headed Snake Academy Guardians, and left the scene, as they started the cleaning up process for part of the war happening outside the Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy.
“Young Master, we can play around now, even if it’s a low-level void creature body, it’s easily around a few ten, or a few hundred thousand metres wide, it’s not something a life from the Material World can compare to, we have probably only sealed a strand of its hair.”
Little Myna’s metaphor was slightly exaggerated, but the truth was exactly that.
Four Sorcerers World Guardians surrounded Grimm, it seemed that Mina had said something to the other three Guardians as they did not disturb Grimm, standing silently on the ground waiting for Grimm to finish sealing this void creature completely, preventing any accidents from happening.
Time was slowly drifting away, half an hourglass had passed by.
Suddenly, Grimm who was sealing this void creature was stunned for a moment, the crystal ball inside his loose sorcerer robe suddenly levitated, a corresponding message was being transmitted.
Peranos’ exhausted face appeared in the crystal ball.
“Grimm, regardless of whether you’ve finished your mission or not, return immediately, two troops of Shadow Argus Sorcerers have broken through the outer defenses of the academy, and are within shooting range of the Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy Mana Pool!”
Grimm who was still sealing the endless void creature spoke deeply, “Got it.”
“Alright.”
Peranos nodded, and turned off the crystal ball transmission, clearly to contact the others for reinforcement power in their defenses.
“It’s over, it’s over, Young Master, the Spacetime Seal only works the best when it’s fully prepared, and on a one-on-one basis, it’ll lose its purpose when it’s less versus more. A person will lose his or her combat abilities when performing the seal, there is a need to concentrate on maintaining the seal, and it cannot be interrupted. Our situation now is one where we’re basically trapped here, if the Sorcerers from the Shadow Argus Sorcerer Academy come now…”
As he was in mid-sentence, Little Myna noticed that there were Sorcerer silhouettes from afar lasering toward them, and he was instantly stunned.
“Damn it, are you kidding me! I, Lord Myna, was just joking around, don’t take it so seriously!”
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…
From afar, a few Sorcerers’ dark silhouettes lasered over in an amazing speed, the lead was a Dwarf Sorcerer that was only half a metre tall, indeed he had the aura of a Level-3 Great Sorcerer, and of the few Sorcerers behind him, four of them were Level-2 Sorcerers, and one of them was Kimraig who had just escaped!
Once they were nearer, the few Sorcerers stopped for a moment in a distance, and when they seemed to realize Grimm’s current state, they started to fly closer carefully.
The few Sorcerers from the Shadow Argus Sorcerer Academy soared in a straight line in the sky, each of their postures were different, their gazes were fixed on Grimm who was performing the Spacetime Seal, cautious and frightened at the same time.
This was the powerful Demon-Hunter Sorcerer, that had obtained the Rank-1 Honor Badge, that had changed the tides of war of the entire world in an expedition mentioned by Kimraig?
Was he casting a seal right now?
“Hahahahaha, Master, this is our best chance, he’s casting some sort of seal right now, he can’t possibly have any other combat abilities, let’s remove this potential threat of the Academy War, and avenge for Yurin and Pudun!”
Kimraig’s eyes shone.
This was the Demon-Hunter Sorcerer that had a Rank-1 Honor Badge, his master had just said that he wanted to return personally to see that person, and he thought he had gone mad. No matter how he tried to persuade his master, he had insisted on experiencing it personally, who would have thought that luck was on their side today!
What was that black fog, a void creature?
Void creatures were infamous for their gigantic size, even if it was the weakest void worm, it would easily be capped at about ten metres long. According to legend, strong void creatures could even be bigger than a world.
To seal a void creature of the same level, the time needed would be very long, that was why he…
“Caw? Bastard, damn it, your Lord Myna is here, how dare you speak about our young master not having any other combat abilities? I, Lord Myna, will slap that mouth of yours until it breaks!”
Little Myna, who was Grimm’s soul partner, was perched on Grimm’s shoulder, posing different types of postures to get some attention, but he was blatantly ignored by them, and Little Myna started screeching angrily.
There was nothing more frustrating than working hard to research the next cool posture and string of words, preparing to say something cool and putting effort into turning things around, and ending up being ignored completely by the enemy.
Grimm thought of retrieving his own magic power from the Gates of the Forgotten World, but realized that he could not do that.
The Forgotten World was like a hungry mouth devouring this void creature greedily, to close this starving mouth forcefully, Grimm would have to use all his magic power as a price.
It would backfire on him, if it were light it would mean a few hourglasses, but if it were heavy his body would reject magic power for a few years, and he would be left juggling things with purely his mental strength and knowledge. However, without the warm magic power energy to communicate with elemental energy, he would not be able to cast any sorcery in a real battle.
Feelings of anger appeared, as Grimm’s deathly eyes under the Mask of Truth glared at Kimraig.
“Rank-3 Honor Badge Demon-Hunter Sorcerer, I already planned to let you leave, and now you dare return?”
“Hahahahaha, let me leave? Did I need you to!?”
Kimraig laughed out loud.
“Hehe, even though you have a Rank-1 Honor Badge, we’re both Level-2 Sorcerers, you think you can kill me if you want to, you’re too arrogant! Now, you better think of how you’re going to escape from this, hahahaha…”
“You bastard! How dare you keep ignoring your Lord Myna, do you not notice that I’m already flying away? God damn it, your a*s better stay right there!”
Little Myna was infuriated, his insults just now were still being ignored, even when he was leaving the battlefield he was still being ignored, how was this acceptable for Little Myna who loved a good performance?
“Ok ok ok, you won’t come for me I see, you better goddamn wait for me there…”
As Little Myna gradually flew out of sight, the dwarfish Level-3 Great Sorcerer merely glanced at him lightly, as he raised his magic staff that was taller than himself, and ordered coldly, “Enough chatter, kill him!”
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…
The Sorcerers of the Shadow Argus Sorcerer Academy who were in a straight line dashed toward Grimm, full of murderous intents, as it seemed like they were determined to grant death upon Grimm on the spot, they would not show mercy at all.
Because, this is war, a war between Sorcerers!
