A Sorcerer's Journey - Chapter 594
Chapter 594: A Passive State
“Metal Destroyer Civilization?”
Grimm had the meal and instinctively consulted Eldest Apprentice-Sister Quiet Spring about the greatest crisis faced by the Sorcerers World, it was regarding the enemy from the third civilization war that would happen within thousands of years in the Sorcerers World, the Metal Destroyer.
A mission that spanned a thousand years would definitely be too long for an official Sorcerer, however, it would just be a single round of ripple from the entire history of the Sorcerers World.
His Eldest Apprentice-Sister remained silent, as if she was reminiscing her past.
Grimm held his breath and waited, although he might not be able to advance into a Stigmata Sorcerer before the civilization war began; however, he was a Rank-1 Honor Badge Demon-Hunter recognized by The Principal Will of the Sorcerers World, a secret weapon for the Abyssal Summoner of the Sorcerers World, and had a status that was incomparable to normal Demon-Hunters.
Furthermore, he had already advanced as a Level-2 Sorcerer; therefore, he was qualified to care about the historical events of the Sorcerers World.
While Eldest Apprentice-Sister Quiet Spring paused for a moment in her thoughts, Grimm finally had the chance to take a closer look and carefully observe his apprentice-sister’s… Quiet Spring’s Baptism Sealing Skill.
As her body was wrapped around by the white cloths, her body curves were still revealed unintentionally; however, it was her pressuring and destructive breath that had diminished any intrusive thoughts that others might have on her.
Undoubtedly, the white bandages were the medium for her sealing skill.
The white bandages were like living creatures, similar to the black metal chains that Nairo had, they seemed to be alive and prohibiting any peeping from the outside, while at the same time restricting some form of communication from the inside.
What was the Arcane Knowledge within it?
And the giant black sword…
During his Sorcerer-Apprentice times, Grimm could only see the surface of it, and it was none other than a sword with black flames; however, now, the Black Flame Sword represented undiminishing mental will!
The undiminishing mental will was very similar with the will of the King of Snowthreads.
While Grimm was carefully observing, Sister Quiet Spring stopped reminiscing and said something that shocked Grimm.
“They are tribes from other lifeforms that have a high level of intelligence, they feed on metal for survival, and have neither flesh, soul, mercy, nor reproductive systems.”
Sister Quiet Spring clutched her right hand tightly as she mentioned the creatures.
“Their bodies are formed out of metal and exist in an enormous amount, they are also able to perform calm and rational analysis on anything, without any sense of exhaustion, they will continue to seek for exploitable resources from one world to another, as if the tribe was reborned with transformational energy similar to the Intelligent Mechanical Marionettes. However, their structures are totally different from the mechanical marionettes from the Sorcerers World! Based on my analysis, the Metal Destroyers might have been produced by some of the ancient civilizations as their ultimate creation, and it was at the peak of their creation that had brought upon the beginning of the destruction for the civilization.”
Grimm slightly squinted as he was a little puzzled, “You are saying that the existence of the creatures might be from a disaster that was caused by some high intelligence ancient civilization, it did not come from the reproductive transformation of the Endless World, and they are similar to Intelligent Mechanical Marionettes that have the ability to produce their own kind?”
“I’m afraid yes! Their lives are special in their own ways! Seven Rings Celestial Sorcerer has gathered findings from three other Stigmata Sorcerers and Elite Demon-Hunters that have returned and formed a similar assumption. Perhaps during the ancient times, there was a high intelligence lifeform tribe that was constantly growing and had caused the disaster that wiped themselves out…”

Soon, Master Peranos led Grimm to join the faction of the Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy.
After gathering with Master Peranos, Grimm and Varro, Sister Quiet Spring went to the Hydra Wrath Realm to share some of the Stigmata experiences with Grandmaster Netherheart and Great Master Hydra Wrath.
“Grimm, the Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy is now in extreme danger, and the situation might not be reversible by just one or two official Sorcerers, even if your Elder Apprentice-Sister has yet to advance as a Stigmata Sorcerer, she would never have been able to turn the situation around on her own.”
While heading toward the meeting hall, Master Peranos briefed Grimm, his most capable apprentice, on the updates and overall situation of the war between the academies.
In a nutshell, the Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy was already barely protecting the Mana Pool of the Sorcerer Academy Tower, they were also unable to compete for external fresh blood resources with the Shadow Argus Sorcerer Academy, this had put them into an extremely dangerous and constantly stifled situation.
“What do you have in mind, Master?”
Grimm seeked advice from the Master.
Master Peranos had been the dean for the academy for thousands of years, he was a very experienced dean and had been involved in various areas including management, territorial academy social networking, academy competitions and academy wars.
“Weighing on the external capabilities, the connection that Master Hydra Wrath has with trade associations, clans, and insider information sources is far more fragile than that of the Shadow Argus Sorcerer Academy’s; furthermore, the outsourced Sorcerers would only agree to work in favour to their own interests and they would not fully participate in providing aid to Sorcerer Academies that are facing difficulties, so we will only be left to rely on ourselves.”
After a short pause, Master Peranos replied in a deep voice, “There is zero chance now to fully compete against the Shadow Argus Sorcerer Academy, and we can only focus our energy on parts of the territories to compete; regardless of the quality, we have to make sure there is sufficient and constant fresh blood Sorcerer-Apprentice supply for the academy, and we cannot allow the academy to be left idle and stranded to death.”
“Hmm.”
Grimm nodded, following closely behind Master Peranos, and he said, “I have been observing at Moth Frog City before I came, and I noticed that the bustling towns around the academies, similar to Moth Frog City, have been stationed with powerful opposing Sorcerer-Apprentices that would be difficult for our own Sorcerer-Apprentices to fight against; although our Official Sorcerers might have already temporarily taken the lead in some major towns during the recruitment of Sorcerer-Apprentices, however, it would still be difficult for us to absorb fresh blood into the academy.”
Grimm let out a sigh and continued, “Moreover, civilians in the town have been living under the control of the other academy for tens of years, and they might not agree with the Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy nor be willing to cooperate with us.”
“I had a solution for this problem thirty years ago when the previous Holy Tower Qualification Battle had just ended, and Shadow Argus had just intensified the radical conflicts with the academy. Grimm, there is still seventy years to the next Holy Tower Qualification Battle, and I want you to cultivate an average group of Sorcerer-Apprentices, if possible, dedicate your teachings to a top performing Sorcerer-Apprentice junior!”
Tick, tick, tick…
The footsteps were hasty and overlapping, while Grimm followed Master Peranos closely as he had something to tell; however, Master Peranos took an immediate turn and went straight into a room.
“Master…”
Grimm was about to catch up to Master Peranos and say something, however, as he went further, he arrived at a lobby with the presence of thousands of Sorcerers, along with more than twenty Level-3 Great Sorcerers that were on a stage, while all of the Sorcerers turned and looked toward him with various expressions.
“Grimm, over here!”
Being a Level-2 Sorcerer, Ezma took a seat at the front row before thousands of Sorcerers, and he pointed toward an Elemental Chair that was beside him.
