In no time, he noticed that it was quiet in the room and something was put in his mouth. At the moment, there was something wrong with his taste bud, and he couldn’t sense whether it was sour, sweet, bitter or hot.

He just felt that he began to fall unconscious and get exhausted. Then he fell asleep unconsciously.

When he woke up, he felt his body weak and soft, but he didn’t feel numb and stiff anymore. He opened his eyes, to see that Gu Qinghan sat in tears next to him. Seeing that he woke up, she looked happy on her beautiful and tearful face instantly and called, “Ning, are…you awake?”

Yang Ning struggled to get up, while Gu Qinghan hurriedly pressed his chest and said, “Don’t move.” Then she looked back. “Miss Tang, come and check him.”

Tang Nuo walked over and reached out to press Yang Ning’s pulse. Then she withdrew her hand soon and stated, “He is fine now.”

“Aunt, how long have I been asleep?” Yang Ning felt his head heavy, and then he thought of that snake. “By the way, have you found the snake?”

Gu Qinghan responded, “You were in a coma for a whole day. If it weren’t for Miss Tang, the consequence…couldn’t be imagined.” She looked scared in her eyes.

“Miss Tang, thanks…a lot.” Yang Ning remembered that he was poisoned by a snake and the poison was very powerful. If Tang Nuo didn’t cure him, he might have died.

Tang Nuo shook her head slightly and hesitated for a moment before saying, “In fact…I should apologize to you.”

“Apologize to me?” Yang Ning was surprised. “Miss Tang, what do you mean?”

Tang Nuo furrowed her beautiful brows and looked serious. “It’s Nao!”

“Nao?” Yang Ning trembled and soon frowned, asking, “It’s that demon girl? Do you mean that she…came to the capital city?”

Gu Qinghan didn’t know what they meant or who the demon girl was, so she was confused.

Tang Nuo said, “If there is no accident, it must be her. You were poisoned with the Seven Pistils, not the poison from snakes, yet it can be planted in a snake. It can be planted in not only snakes, but also wasps and scorpions. After a long time, they can be mixed, and this kind of poison will be in poisonous insects, snakes and ants.”

Yang clenched his fists and asked, “Does she want to kill me?”

Tang Nuo replied, “She must not want to kill you. The Seven Pistils is not fatal poison. Nao is a disciple of the poison king in Nine Creek and good at poisoning skills. If she wants to take your life, she has many kinds of poison which can suffocate the victim after bleeding. The Seven Pistils can’t kill you instantly. If I guess right, she intentionally left time to let me detoxify you.”

Yang Ning asked with a frown, “What’s the point? She knows that you can detoxify me, so what profit can she get after poisoning me?”

Tang Nuo answered, “Seven Pistils is the name of one kind of poison, which is made of seven sorts of poisonous weeds, yet it can be made of different seven sorts of poisonous weeds. Till now, there are twenty-three mixing methods at least. Because the seven poisonous weeds are different, the ways to remove the poison are different, while the symptom after the poison attacks is almost the same. If I misjudge and use a wrong way to remove the poison, I can’t detoxify you but will delay it and make you die.”

Yang Ning felt a chill down his spine and asked, “So fortunately, you judged correctly this time. Otherwise…I would have died?”

Gu Qinghan couldn’t help but ask, “Ning, who is the demon girl you are talking about?”

Yang Ning answered resentfully, “She’s a lawless and vicious demon girl. If I find her, I will cut her to pieces.”

Tang Nuo pondered for a moment and then said, “I know well about her. This is not the ending but the beginning.”

“The beginning?” Yang Ning was stunned. “Do you mean that she…will take further actions against me?”

Tang Nuo looked solemn. “She wants to make use of your body and compete with me on poisoning skills. I have removed the poison this time, so she won’t let it go at that.”

Yang Ning felt terrified.

The demon girl was malicious and didn’t take others’ lives seriously. Yang Ning was disgusted with her and just hoped that he would never see such a demon again.

However, the demon girl was like a haunting ghost and followed them to the capital city.

Since she tried to poison him tonight, it proved that she was clear about his whereabouts, and she could enter the mansion sneakily under the heavy guard, so it was really a huge threat.

Yang Ning wasn’t afraid of the open weapons, yet such a hidden arrow like a ghost was impossible to defend effectively.

Gu Qinghan was more terribly frightened and asked anxiously, “Miss Tang, what should we do?”

“At worst, we have to set a trap in the mansion and lure her into it to capture her.” Yang Ning was resentful. “I will capture the demon girl and skin her alive.”

Tang Nuo stated, “Don’t underestimate her. I am afraid that you can’t capture her but will be harmed by her. Now she just takes you as a tool to compete with me, while if you irritate her, I think that she will kill you, and then even I can’t save you in time.”

“Miss Tang, you know so well about her, and you must be an acquaintance of hers.” Gu Qinghan was extremely worried. “Can you find her and talk with her. This time, we will pretend that nothing has happened, yet in the future, she can’t harm Ning in the dark again.”

Tang Nuo shook her head. “She won’t listen to me. If there is a chance, she even wants to take my life, too.”

Gu Qinghan was anxious and annoyed. “What should we do? Do we have to wait for her to harm us?”

Tang Nuo stayed silent for a moment and finally said, “I have a solution, but…I am just worried that Qi Ning can’t bear it.”

“What solution?” Gu Qinghan’s eyes lit up.

Tang Nuo stressed each word. “Wash the blood.”

“Wash the blood?” Yang Ning was confused. “What does it mean?”

Tang Nuo replied, “Use herbs to wash all blood in your body. Once the blood is washed successfully, you will be immune to all kinds of poison if there is no accident.”

Yang Ning opened his mouth yet couldn’t speak a word for a moment.

Gu Qinghan also thought this method unimaginably queer and asked with a frown, “Miss Tang, do…you mean that you will wash all blood in Ning’s body with herbs? How…is it possible?”

Tang Nuo explained, “In fact, I don’t have much confidence, and when the blood is being washed, you need to suffer a lot of pain, and not everybody can endure it.” She paused for a moment and then added, “But if it is washed successfully, with Nao’s methods, she can’t harm Qi Ning anymore.”

Yang Ning was doubtful and asked, “I remember that when we were in the valley last time, you seemed to have been poisoned by her, too. Have you washed your blood?”

Tang Nuo shook her head. “Not everybody has a chance to have the blood washed, and it’s up to the body constitution. Now the blood of the female can’t be washed, while you are a man, with the male’s body, and…your meridians are thicker than the ordinary man’s, so you have the body constitution and your blood can be washed. The ordinary man’s blood can’t be washed.”

“My meridians are thicker than the others’?” Yang Ning couldn’t help but raise his hand and look at his veins, asking, “Why can’t I find it out?”

Tang Nuo said, “This is the only way that I think of now, yet you can think about whether you will have your blood washed.”

“Miss Tang, is there anybody whose blood has been washed before?” Yang Ning asked, “Have you washed anybody’s blood?”

Tang Nuo replied, “My master’s blood has been washed, and he is immune to all kinds of poison indeed. In the past, he wanted to wash my blood, while I am a female, so he tried to find the way to wash the blood of the female all the time.” She paused for a moment and then added, “I have never washed anybody’s blood. When my master taught me how to wash the blood, he chose a monkey on the mountain as the target. Since the monkey’s blood was washed, it can hardly be poisoned.”

Yang Ning just thought that this thing was too unbelievable.

To be honest, if it could really make his body immune to all kinds of poison, it was certainly a long cherished goal, yet blood was a human’s foundation. Even in the later ages, he had never heard that the blood could be washed with herbs, which was a mysterious medical skill, let alone at this era. Although he admired Tang Nuo for her medical skills, he still had doubts about washing the blood.

More importantly, although Tang Nuo knew how to wash the blood, she had never tried it on a human body. Tang Nuo put things away in the medical kit and spoke to Yang Ning. “You can consider it. If you agree, I need to prepare the medicinal materials to wash the blood, and it will take three days to finish the job.” After a pause, she added, “Don’t forget the Blood Pills I gave to you. If you are poisoned next time, take a pill as soon as possible, and you can buy time.”

Yang Ning smiled. “Aunt, don’t worry about me. Isn’t Miss Tang still here? As long as she is around, we will be fine.”

“But Miss Tang can’t follow you all the time.” Gu Qinghan sighed. “Why did that demon girl target you?”

At the moment, they heard a knock at the door from outside and Duan Canghai’s voice coming in. “My Lord, it’s me.”

Yang Ning told Duan Canghai to come in. After entering, Duan Canghai checked on Yang Ning and then reported, “My Lord, we searched everywhere in the mansion but didn’t find an assassin.”

“The poison king in Nine Creek, Qiu Qianyi?” Duan Canghai’s expression changed slightly. “My Lord, you…why did you mention that old vicious man? Did…” Shock was shown in his eyes.
