Chapter 472: Season 2 Book 19 New China’s Participation in War- 4-2 Battle of Strength
January 1st, 2024, 23:30 (Russian time: 17:30)
Russia Moscow Bunker State R-13 (Situation Room)
The Russian Air Force projected a massive power of two-thirds of the remaining air force. It was a big gamble because should they lose the battle, they would also lose air superiority, at least over the capital city of Moscow.
There were two beliefs why Russia was able to jump into such a big gamble.
One was the anti-aircraft force deployed around the border. Currently, the three military subordinate units deployed around the border had more ground-to-air missile power than expected, ranging from the S-300 Grumble with excellent anti-aircraft defense capabilities to the S-400 Triumph and the recently deployed S-500 Triumpartor.
Another one was the X-350 Atlas reconnaissance satellite, which was developed by NASA in the United States over many years.
Three years ago, President Trump, who was humiliated after the U.S was attacked by Korea, quickly began to expand and transform various advanced weapons development projects to regain the prestige that was lost with Congress.
In response, the United States invested an astronomical amount of money into its world-famous defense company, and among them, it succeeded in developing a radar capable of detecting some Korean stealth fighters in June 2022. The radar name was AN/SPY-11 radar (3D high-precision phased array radar), which was able to detect 100 percent of the fifth-generation stealth fighters within 200 kilometers, and the Korean stealth fighter, which was a state-of-the-art radar only had a 50 percent chance of detecting them.
In addition, the U.S. Department of Defense had been operating the AN/SPY-11 radar on the Atlas satellite recently developed by NASA, not the existing maritime destroyer, calling it a stealth-only radar satellite and an externally military satellite.
Currently, the United States operates a total of 12 Atlas reconnaissance satellites, which orbit at an altitude of 100 kilometers to 150 kilometers, and can enter and reconnaissance anywhere on Earth within 30 minutes.
These four state-of-the-art U.S. Atlas reconnaissance satellites entered the atmosphere of the northwestern border and were waiting for a large-scale air battle between Korea and Russia to take place, and all detected information was data-linked not only to the U.S. but also to the Russian air force and ground forces.
It was incomprehensible. However, there was some sort of back-and-forth between the U.S. and Russia.
On November 23, President Putin threatened President Trump with the USSC case and made several demands.
First, in the event of a war between Russia and Korea, the United States was asked to gradually apply political pressure to Korea while maintaining neutrality with European countries. But the U.S. could not accept it. Other than the truth of the USSC, Korea was a country with various evidence as well.
The second was financial support. It was obvious that a war with Korea would incur astronomical costs, so Russia demanded $100 billion from the United States. In response, the U.S. paid the Russian government $100 billion through a Swiss account as collateral for the complete dissolution of the USSC case. It was a huge amount, but because President Trump and most members of Congress were related to the USSC, they had no choice but to quickly issue government bonds and pay them in secret.
The third was military support. However, this was also a request that the United States could not comply with. If the U.S. provides military support to Russia, South Korea will know at once, and in retaliation, it was self-evident that South Korea would announce the truth of the USSC to the world.
If so, it was self-evident that President Donald Trump would be impeached immediately and anyone connected with the USSC would face close to life in prison. In addition, the United States was to become a country that would no longer be recognized by the world due to an irreversible fall in trust.
As a result, the United States, which granted only the second of Russia’s three demands, was keeping an eye on the situation of the Korean-Russia war.
The problem was that one month after the outbreak of the war, Russia, pushed back to Korea and persistently demanded the other two requirements from the United States.
President Trump approved Russia’s third demand after much consideration, after realising the fact that the U.S. could not do anything. The Pentagon had realised that if the two countries pushed South Korea and if South Korea were to win the war, there would be no chance for the U.S. to ever be the top country in the world again.
However, external military support was impossible, so the idea of military support that South Korea would never notice was the provision of detection information from the Atlas reconnaissance satellite that could detect stealth fighters.
For this reason, the four Atlas reconnaissance satellites were turning at a speed equal to the speed of rotation and were data-linking Russian troops with detection information on the border in northwest Korea.
“I can’t ignore the Americans.”
While sitting in the State R-13 control room watching the large-scale air battle that was to take place a few minutes later, President Putin muttered with a tone of envy or jealousy when the South Korean fighter jets were detected by the U.S. Atlas reconnaissance satellite and was displayed as various tactical symbols on the screen through the data link.
“When this war is over. I need to get my hands on that technology from the Americans!”
“Will the Americans pass such technology to us?”
When Minister Mikhail Ivanov asked with a hopeful expression, President Putin said in a confident voice, “I’m holding on to the leash for the rest of Trump’s term, so what are you worried about?”
Until the end of President Donald Trump’s presidency, President Putin had the image of using the USSC as an excuse to take everything away.
“Haha, that’s right.”
“More than that, what about the situation in New China? They must have put in their air force too, right?”
President Putin’s question was answered by one of his staff hurriedly grasping the situation.
“Not yet! No significant air force has been confirmed in the airspace over New China.”
“No, what does that mean? The fight will start in the next few minutes, but you haven’t started sortieing yet?”
“That’s…a report that stealth was the only one that headed out which it is currently not being detected on our radar.”
“Not being detected on the radar? Are the stealth planes of the New China guys really stealth planes? A fake stealth base made by fake people just imitating them…Contact the authorities of New China immediately and tell them to implement as promised in advance. Damn those Chinese.”
“Yes, all right.”

January 1st, 2024, 23:30 (United States time: 10:30)
The Pentagon, Ellington, Virginia, United States (Operation Situation Room, Joint Chiefs of Staff)
President Trump personally visited the Ellington Pentagon to watch what was going to happen in the large-scale air battle between Korea, China, and Russia from the Operation Situation Room.
In President Donald Trump’s mind, seeing through the various tactical symbols displayed on the large screen in the Operation Situation Room, there was a great desire for Korea to be defeated. Like President Trump, with one year remaining in office and a lame duck with a poor approval rating, he thought that if South Korea were to lose this war, it would face a major crisis or at least suffer a major economic blow.
The crisis of a competitor country was a great opportunity for its own country. If the U.S. takes advantage of this opportunity to regain the top spot militarily and economically, his approval rating will rise and he would no longer be seen as a lame duck.
“Secretary Williams! Aren’t four satellites insufficient?” President Donald Trump, sitting on the plush sofa he had prepared for him, staring at the big screen, said with a distinctive expression to Defense Secretary Duke Williams, who was sitting next to him.
“More than that would be noticed even in Korea. A few days ago, I received a request from South Korea to refrain from operating our reconnaissance satellites over their country.”
“Does that mean that Korea knows everything about the movement of our satellites?”
“Yes, it does. South Korea is operating more advanced reconnaissance satellites than ours.”
“Heh heh, how did this happen…? How does the chairman view today’s engagement?”
President Donald Trump turned his head this time to his left and asked the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
“I think we can win enough if we receive detection information from our reconnaissance satellite and add the air force of New China.”
In response, President Donald Trump also asked Air Force Chief of Staff General Seth Moses, seated behind him. “What about Chief of Staff Moses?”
“Yes, as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said, it looks like we will win. However, I think it will be possible only if the air forces of both countries show the same movement at the same time and respond to the Korean Air Force.”
As the Air Force Chief of Staff, Captain Seth Moses’ judgment was accurate.
Even if the U.S. Atlas reconnaissance satellite detects and provides stealth aircraft to Russia, the maximum detection capability would be 50 percent. The other 50 percent would not be detectable. In addition, more than 100 South Korean stealth aircraft had been detected by the Atlas reconnaissance satellite so far. In other words, if you count even the undetected stealth aircraft, it meant that there were more than 200.
Because of this situation, for Russia as well as New China to win, at the same time, they must first attack and destroy the Korean stealth aircraft detected as the largest amount of warfare and then deal with the rest of the stealth aircraft. Currently, there were 350 fighters and fighter-bombers of various sorts from Russia, and if the new China projects more than 300 powers as promised in advance, the possibility of victory for both countries are high. Moreover, the possibility was much greater than expected because various Russian anti-aircraft forces were on standby near the border area, receiving data-linked detection information from the Atlas reconnaissance satellite.
President Trump, with a satisfied expression on his face, asked a very interesting question. “What would happen without the help of our reconnaissance satellites?”
Captain Seth Moses replied immediately as if he did not need to think about it. “Well, without the help of detection intelligence, both Russia and New China will certainly lose to Korea.”
“Is it to that level?”
“In modern dogfights, stealth is the key to winning or losing. If we receive a pre-emptive attack from 200 or so undetectable stealth aircraft, no matter how much volume we wager, in a word, it will be nothing but dozens of blind men attacking an adult man.”
It was an answer that made use of his unique wit.
“Haha, that’s an interesting answer, as the future of Northeast Asian wars will be decided. A large-scale air battle will depend on our U.S. reconnaissance satellite. Okay, okay! Good! When do you think it will start?”
In response to President Donald Trump’s question, the head of the Situation Office, who oversees the current situation, turned his head and modestly said, “It looks like a full-fledged dogfight will start in at least five minutes.”
“Great! Let’s watch it like a movie.”

B2 bunker, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Namu (ROK Army Joint Command and Control Center Situation Room)
Those in the situation room of the Joint Chiefs of Staff were also watching in a tense atmosphere ahead of a large-scale air battle that would take place a few minutes later.
“This! It’s a pity that we were not able to use our remaining power because of the people of New China. How about giving an additional sortie order to the airbase in North Korea?”
Currently, the Republic of Korea’s air force against Russia’s large-scale air force consists of the 38th Fighter Wing at Liaodong (Shenyang) Air Base, the 10th Fighter Wing at Mangyong (Jirin) Air Base, the 11th Fighter Wing at Hanju (Harbin) Air Base, and the 16th Fighter Wing at the Yecheon Air Base in Bukju. It was a combat wing.
Deputy General of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Yoon Gi-yoon expressed his disappointment because of the fighter power of the 17th Fighter Wing at Ansan (Ansi) Base and the 8th Fighter Wing at Sunan Base, Bukju, which were omitted from this sortie because of concerns about the New China.
“Haha, Deputy Manager Yoon! The current sortie power alone is enough. You don’t have to worry too much.” Kim Eun-ho, chief of the Air Force Chief of Staff, said to Yoon Gi-yoon, deputy chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who was deeply regretful.
“Come on, I know that it is enough. Wouldn’t it be better to push firmly though?”
“Deputy Director Yoon makes sense, but wouldn’t it be possible for New China to launch an airstrike on the border or directly on Pyongyang, North Korea?”
“Pyongyang? Weren’t they all intercepted in the West Sea without being able to reach the shores of Pyeongan-do, let alone Pyongyang?”
“Yes, but doesn’t New China have a plasma bomb? Wouldn’t it be a big deal if the bombers launch a surprise attack and dropped a plasma bomb on the mainland city?”
“Ah-ah! I forgot about the plasma bomb!”
While the high-ranking generals were having these conversations, the voice of Lieutenant General Yang Min-chun, the head of the operations division, came out through the speaker of the situation room. “It is now 23:35! The India Squadron and Juliet Squadron belonging to the 2nd Space Fighter Wing have just started the flies eradication operation.”
Lieutenant General Yang Min-chun here refers to Russia’s A-100 Premier Aerial Early Warning System, but to prevent friendly fighters from being detected, the Three-toed Crow space fighter jet tried to intercept it before the air battle..
