Chapter 379: Season 2 Book 15, Justice and Ideology – 4-1 Puzzle Solved
November 22, 2023, 09:15
Ordinary Gang-gu (Secret Hideout for the Red Revolutionary Youth Group) in Pyeong-yang, North State Leader Man Gil-soo, who was being briefed on the afternoon demonstrations and the ongoing protests in each state in the conference room on the third floor, opened his eyes wide when he heard the commotion outside.
“What is this noise? Get out there and check!”
On Man Gil-soo’s instructions, one of the executives at the back was about to get up from his seat when the door opened and his one-armed man, Kim Jin, yelled urgently, “You’ve got to get out of here! Everyone, run! There are intelligence agents from the south out there!”
Hearing this, the executives who were sitting in the conference room tried to run away in panic.
“Hey, f*ckers! Shouldn’t you pack up the documents in front of you first?” Man Gil-soo yelled at the executives who were trying to flee on their own.
“If we get caught now, it will be the end of our lives; will these documents be a problem? It is more important to be alive!” an official who was trying to flee through the window said.
Actually, he wasn’t wrong. During a state of emergency, the charge of national subversion carried a minimum sentence of life imprisonment and the death penalty for executives.
“Even so, pick up these documents!” Man Gil-soo yelled, pointing to the documents on the conference table. Consequently, one of the executives hurriedly gathered the documents and quickly lit them on fire with a lighter.
“Get out of here quickly. We don’t have time, Comrade Man Gil-soo!” Kim Jin checked the stairs and rushed down.
“That is how it should be! Let us dash to the emergency elevator!”
Man Gil-soo, Kim Jin, and other executives left the conference room and entered a room at the end of the hallway.
“Get rid of that painting!” Man Gil-soo said, pointing to a big picture hanging on the wall.
When two executives took the painting off the wall, they discovered an elevator its door opened. In such a situation, there was an emergency elevator that could take them directly to the underground.
“What are you doing? Get in, all of you.”
The executives rushed into the elevator as Man Gil-soo frowned.
At that moment, someone shouted in the hallway after hearing loud footsteps.
“Hey you, stop there!”
They were intelligence agents from the National Intelligence Service who had just entered the third floor.
“Hurry up and go! I will stop them!”
Kim Jin drew a pistol from his waist belt and shot at the hallway.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Intelligence agents jumped away from the gunfire trajectory and quickly fired counter shots.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Several light streams flew through the wall. Kim Jin, who was dodging to avoid getting shot, fired again and flew into the elevator just as the door was about to close.
“What should we do? Comrade leader!” Oh Kwang-tae said in a terrified tone as the elevator descended.
“You’ve shrunk, son of a b*tch! What kind of revolution would you do in such a manner?” Kim Jin, who was reloading ammunition, sarcastically replied to Oh Kwang-tae.
“It isn’t that! Didn’t we get caught too quickly?”
“Don’t be afraid! We are ready for this. We’re going all the way to the end of the revolution,” Man Gil-soo, who was also glaring at Oh Kwang-tae, said.
After some time had passed, the elevator door opened to the underground. Then, in the dim light, a long passage was visible.
“Let’s go!”
Man Gil-soo’s group emerged from the basement of the opposite building after passing through a narrow, dark passageway of approximately 20 meters.
“From now on, I’ll go to my secondary hiding place, and each of you will go to your branch’s hiding place, see what’s going on, and report immediately! Do you understand me?” Man Gil-soo gave the instructions to the executives while Kim Jin checked the surroundings after leaving first.
At that moment, a human figure popped out from one of the walls and shouted, “Everyone, put your hands up! If you move a little, I’ll shoot you.”
Manager Cha Tae-sik of the Counter-terrorism Investigation Department 2 and Assistant Manager Kang Ho-chul were waiting for them with their TCS mode activated.
Surprised by the sudden appearance of intelligence agents, Man Gil-soo and his group raised their hands.
“Raise your hands as well! Don’t be ridiculous and raise your hands!” Kim Jin was yelled at by Cha Tae-sik.
Kim Jin pretended to raise his hand, then, using Man Gil-soo as a shield, he hid behind him and pointed the gun at Man Gil-soo’s head.
“If you guys do anything stupid, I’m going to blow his head off. Do you understand?
Manager Cha Tae-sik and Assistant Manager Kang Ho-chul both flinched in response to Kim Jin’s unexpected behavior.
Man Gil-soo, as well, was shocked and yelled, “What are you doing?!”
“Be quiet. This is the only way to escape. Slow down and approach the back window,” Kim Jin whispered to Man Gil-soo. Man Gil-soo, who had understood Kim Jin’s intention, moved slowly, stepping back.
Manager Cha Tae-sik, who was caught off guard by Kim Jin’s unexpected behavior, pointed his KS5 gun at Man Gil-soo and Kim Jin, who were both retreating.
“Don’t move!”
“You are the one who should not make any movements or I will kill both of us.”
Manager Cha Tae-sik was having a problem as a result of Kim Jin’s threat. He wanted to blow Kim Jin’s head off and arrest Man Gil-soo, but he couldn’t behave rashly as he had orders from the top to capture Man Gil-soo in any way.
While Cha Tae-sik was agonizing over this, Kim Jin stepped onto the back window, pushed Man Gil-soo away from the window, and threw himself out.
Clink!
Kim Jin, who was lying on the ground with broken glass fragments, then ran without looking back.
“Assistant Manager Kang, hold them until the backup arrives! I’m going after him,” Manager Cha Tae-si gave a brief instruction before leaping through the window to pursue Kim Jin.
“Yes, sir. Be careful.”
Man Gil-soo, on the other hand, was lying on the floor in rage as a result of Kim Jin’s betrayal and use of him to escape.
“That son of a b*tch! I won’t let him go later!”
“Hey, man, shut up and go to the corner and lie down!”

The Kremlin Palace in Moscow, Russia
Three years ago, China, which had lost the Northeast Asian War, was divided into three countries due to internal conflicts and ethnic minorities, and the former G2 country then vanished. However, the New China that succeeded the communist regime wished for a unified China as well as the restoration of Manchurian land.
However, most of the industrial facilities and major military industries, which were the engines of economic development, were destroyed in the war against Corea, causing the new country’s economic and military growth to slow. Furthermore, the national finances did not improve as the war with the Republic of China, which began with the Chongqing attack, lasted longer than expected.
To overcome this situation, New China’s leadership had asked for help from Russia, which had grown economically and militarily since the Northeast Asian War and had become on par with the U.S.
However, Russia had flatly rejected New China’s request.
President Putin had despised China for snubbing Russia as a G2 country and for its inherent arrogance and bravado, as well as for illegally hacking or importing Russian weapons and developing and producing them as if they were theirs. Putin’s rejection of New China’s request for help was unavoidable, given his animosity toward the country.
This, however, changed about one month ago. Russia was now enthusiastic to grant China’s request for assistance, having dispatched a negotiating team and signed a military mutual protection treaty.
“The arrogant Chinese signed the treaty so easily… Haha, they must have been in a hurry,” President Putin, who was slowly reading the treaty document on his desk, sarcastically criticized New China.
“Now New China will take military action at our request at any time,” Foreign Minister Valeri Karpin, who had been sitting on the opposite chair for a while, said with a confident look.
“How much military power does New China have right now that we can move?”
President Putin’s question was answered this time by Defense Minister Mikhail Ivanov, “The Red Army, formerly called the 38th Group.”
“What, one group? What are we going to do with just one group?”
“Mr. President! The Red Army is the unit that succeeded the 38th Group; they are the number one fighter in the Chinese Army.”
The 38th Group, which had suffered devastation in the early days of the war in Northeast Asia, went into reorganization as a top priority during the war and restored 90 percent of its power just before the end of the war. However, the 38th Group ended without any significant activity, and as a result, its strength was preserved.
“No matter what, that is not enough power to even shake the Western Front, is it?”
President Putin shook his head from side to side, implying that they were untrustworthy.
Mikhail Ivanov, Defense Minister, went on to explain further, “New China is currently at civil war with the Republic of China. They can’t mobilize additional military forces. Also, pushing the Corean troops away from the western front and occupying Manchuria would be disastrous for us. I believe it is sufficient for us that New China shakes the front a little bit.”
President Putin nodded, flashing his distinctive sharp eyes at Defense Minister Mikhail Ivanov’s subsequent explanation.
“Mr. President, why don’t we use the United States?”
President Putin tilted his head and asked back as Evgeny Lebedev, director of the SVR (FIS), who had only been listening so far, spoke in a subtle tone. “The United States?”
“As you are aware, the United States was also humiliated for supporting Japan in the Northeast Asian War three years ago, and they got attacked on their mainland by Corean troops. Although Corea apologized and the compensation has been paid in full since the war’s end, the antipathy of many American citizens remains strong. In addition, there’s a lot of opposition from the Democrats in Congress.”
“So, you want to take advantage of that?” President Putin, who immediately understood what director Yevgeny Lebedev said, asked again.
Evgeny Lebedev, who responded by nodding, explained how to use the United States. Putin’s sharp eyes flashed endlessly while his explanation continued. “The United States, whose pride had been trampled by Corea in the Northeast Asian War, was focusing on reinforcing its strong commitment to regain its position as the world’s top player. If the U.S. Congress sides with us, wouldn’t it be possible to put diplomatic pressure on Corea, if not military participation?”
“That will make things easier… But is there a bait to make the U.S. take our side?”
Asked again by President Putin, director Yevgeny Lebedev said with a mysterious smile, “Mr. President, there is a whip rather than a bait.”
“What the hell does that mean?”
“With a whip, not a bait, we can move the United States the way we want it to.”
“Tell me in a way that I can understand, Director Lebedev!”
“Yes, the head of the U.S. General Affairs Office, Dmitry Alenicev, is waiting outside. May I call him?”
“Tell him to come in.”
A moment later, when Director Evgeny Lebedev called, a middle-aged man with a thick beard came in.
“Your Excellency, how are you? I’m Dmitry Alenicev, the head of the SVR branch.”
After the introduction, Dmitry Alenicev took out a folder classified as SSS from his bag and handed it to the president.
“What is this?”
President Putin took the file. Then he slowly read the title written in the first chapter, “The truth behind the USSC’s (United States Supreme Security Council) 70-year history?”
From President Putin’s mouth, the name of the organization USSC, which had overturned the world, was mentioned.
“Yes. It’s a top-secret document containing the identity of a secret organization called the USSC, which actually moved the United States for 70 years, Mr. President!”
