Chapter 205: Book 8 Chapter 4-12 Japan Sinking!: Begin the Destruction!
February 5th, 2021, 07:25
Japan’s Yamaguchi prefecture, the Shimonoseki branch of the Mitsubishi ship factory
Above the skies of the Shimonoseki shipbuilding factory, dozens of the JDAM (precision-guided bombs) and hundreds of K-PSB (plasma cluster bombs) began to fall and blanket the area. The area being bombed was approximately five times the size of Yeo-Ui Island.
The first rounds of ballistic missile attacks had wiped out the Nagakashi shipbuilding factory, which was considered the core of Mitsubishi’s manufacturing infrastructure. Soon the second factory located within Shimonoseki exploded as well and became engulfed in flames.
Boom! Bang~ Bang~
The ear-piercing explosion rang across the entire Shimonoseki area, and the rising pillars of flames could be seen from dozens of kilometers away. The flames danced around wildly while consuming all the oxygen in the area.
The cranes that were capable of lifting loads up to two hundred tons had been hit on the legs by the bombs. They lost their balance and fell on top of the large oil tanker being dried on the dock.
Boom!
A large cloud of dust covered the drying oil tanker in an instant, and the shockwave had caused the many stacked up materials in the area to collapse. Soon, a fire started, and the flames moved towards the many C2H2 canisters stacked near the oil tankers for welding. The entire ship caught on fire and created one large flame.
Also, on the dome-shaped dock, the 6th aegis destroyer that was 90% complete and ready to be deployed by June 2021, had caught on fire. The ship was ablaze from its bridge and rear. The ship had been hit by two rounds of the JDAM missiles directly, which had caused the explosion and fire. Thus, the 6th Atago class Aegis destroyer was destroyed before it could be sent to the field. Also, the thousands of workers who had been working to finish the ship during wartime were caught in the flames and burned.
The liquid natural gases (LNG) tanker was also hit by the bombing, and its pieces shot up into the sky. The large ships drying on the docks were all hit by the explosion. The high heat had caused them to melt and the scene resembled a furnace.
Meanwhile, 20km northwest from Shimonoseki, another shipbuilding factory under the Mitsubishi corporation was burning. The twelve CF/A-25P black phoenix jets, one CB-30P blue dragon bomber, and four KF-21P phoenix jets under the 23rd Kimhae fighter wing finished their mission and began to return to base.

The Mitsubishi aerospace systems factory, Ainachi prefecture, Nagoya, Japan
The F-35A composite plane repair plant factory was the site for manufacturing Japan’s next-generation JX-1 jets. Hundreds of JDAM precision-guided bombs fell upon the factory buildings.
Boom~ Bang~ Boom~
The manufacturing plant’s roof tore open, and dozens of bombs fell inside the facility. Soon the explosion coming from inside the building had made the windows and doors to go flying out. The force of the explosion rippled out to an area ten times the size of a football field and caused the factory to collapse. Also, the internal explosion had cause shrapnel to go flying in all directions. The large explosion had caused the other factory buildings to go up in flames as well.
The JX-1 fighter jets that were completed and waiting inside the storage hangers also were hit by the explosion and turned into scrap metal.
The Sakamihara military factories in the Kanagawa prefecture and the Takasago power plant in Gobe turned to dust as well.

Tokyo, Japan, Prime Minister’s Cabinet Emergency Situation Center
The main screen showed the entire area of Japan and the details of every battle. The dots representing the Japanese jets began to disappear drastically, and the land anti-air missile forces must have been annihilated since those dots began to flicker and then disappear as well.
What was worse was how the industrial complexes and the cities were being struck by the Corean bombers. Japan’s main military production complex, the Mitsubishi tank, shipbuilding facilities, and the missile factories had been severely damaged. The atmosphere in the room was grim.
To continue fighting a war, manpower was a vital resource, but, the military equipment the men could operate was crucial as well. Ballistic missiles and other expendable weaponry being replenished were especially important. Japan losing all of these vital military-industrial complexes lowered their military power, and it was a dire situation.
The reason things were in a dire state was the continued defeat of the Japanese navy and the loss of the reconnaissance and military satellites. The air force losing 50% of its planes also contributed to this result.
Japan’s military had lost control over its seas and skies. Now, it was unable to defend its industrial or military complexes with its weakest force, the army. To add salt to the wound, the military equipment it had rented from the U.S military had all been damaged. Reality began to sink in.
The tide of the Corean-Japanese war had begun to change rapidly from this point. However, Prime Minister Abe did not want to admit defeat, and he would not do so.
“Prime minister! This location could be dangerous as well, sir. We must move to the bunker at area 2.”
Minister Shibasaki grasped Prime Minister Abe by the arm as if to drag him away, and began to rush him.
“What’s making you so afraid, that we must leave this place? Let go of me.”
“Prime minister! 80% of Corea’s air force has infiltrated across Japan and is commencing the attack. Our air force’s every reserve force and operable planes are on the field. I cannot guarantee if they can hold back the enemy forces from reaching here. We could be attacked at any moment. We must leave the area as Minister Shibasaki has suggested,” Kitano Takeshi, the air force commander, explained the severity of the situation.
“This is the heart of Japan. Don’t we have our anti-air forces present? How could we lose when we are fighting within our home?” Prime Minister Abe spoke angrily while freeing himself from Minister Shibasaki’s grasp.
“The aerial attack is an operation involving 80% of the enemy’s forces. I am sure our defenses were targeted in their attack as well, sir.”
“Hmm! Very well. What about our plan against the Chungmugong Lee Sun-shin cruiser?”
“Yes, numerous civilian ships have moved towards the area the Chungmugong Lee Sun-shin cruiser was located, and we have its exact location. Seventy F-1 jets from the 15th reserve fighter wing have been deployed. The B-1B lancer bomber is also fully equipped and already flying to the location at high speeds.”
An hour ago, the plan to strike the Chungmugong Lee Sun-shin cruiser (CG-1101) with the B-1B lancer bomber had been approved. Dozens of civilian fishing ships were sent out from Izumo Port to where the Lee Sun-shin (CG-1101) cruiser was last detected.
Japan was planning to use the fishing ships to find the approximate location of the enemy vessel and its route. Also, since the ships following the enemy were civilian vessels, it was assumed that the Chungmugong Lee Sun-shin (CG-1101) would not attack them.
The entire area of Japan was under attack, but the reason for deploying 70 reserve F-1 jets to attack the Chungmugong Lee Sun-shin (CG-1101) was to prevent the Corean military from landing on Japan’s soil.
/**************************************************/
A situation like this was a hot topic among military professionals and enthusiasts alike. The topic of war between Korea and Japan had always sparked a heated discussion among people online and offline as well. However, the result would always be a tie between the two nations.
Korea had a more powerful army compared to its navy or air force. Therefore, no matter how powerful the Korean army was, since its navy and air force were weaker, it would not be able to land on Japanese soil.
The opposing argument was that Japan could partly seal off Korea on the sea and take aerial superiority, but that would not be enough for Japan to win the war. The difference in military power and geographical locations of both nations (one being a peninsula and a divided nation, while the other being an island) made it difficult to determine which had the upper hand.
/**********************************************************/
This discussion topic had now become a reality instead of fantasy. If Corea’s army forces could be prevented from landing on shore, Japan still had a chance in winning the war. Therefore, if Japan’s navy could get rid of the Chungmugong Lee Sun-shin (CG-1101), which had been a thorn on their side this whole time, it was confident of being able to prevent the Corean army forces from landing in the nation.

The seas 65km northwest from Honshu, Shimane prefecture Izumoshi, Japan (the Chungmugong Lee Sun-shin’s (CG-1101) location).
The Chungmugong Lee Sun-shin (CG-1101) had finished destroying the 4th escorting fleet and the Zumwalt destroyer fleet. It was now headed towards Honshu and began to attack the anti-air forces hiding in the area with its ship-to-surface missiles and Scithe cannons. About 20 minutes ago, numerous Japanese fishing ships began to sail around the ship’s area, pretending to fish.
“Captain! Must we leave them be, sir?” First mate Oh Hyun-woo, complained to the captain.
The Chungmugong Lee Sun-shin (CG-1101) had communicated with the Japanese ships numerous times, but they had ignored the warnings.
“I am considering taking action against them as well. There are over 22 ships within our 50km radius.”
Captain Ahn Yoon-joon, who had personally made it to the battle station, glanced at the Japanese fishing ships showing up on the monitor.
“It seems to me that they are trying to locate our position and report back to the Japanese navy, sir.”
First Mate Oh Hyun-woo had precisely surmised the plans of the Japanese fishing ships. However, Captain Ahn Youn-joon had also gathered that as well.
“Of course, they are, but we can’t just attack civilians based on a hunch, can we? Have the C-10 falcon eye check each of the ships for any suspicious activities.”
Captain Ahn Yoon-joon glanced at the closest fishing ship uncomfortably from across the bridge while giving his order.
“Yes, sir!”
A few moments later, the C-10 falcon eye reconnaissance drone took off vertically from the chopper hanger and flew towards the Japanese fishing ship 23km away.
The Japanese fishing ships did not seem to be making any suspicious activities judging from the footage coming through the C-10 falcon eye’s camera. However, the way they lowered and raised their nets seemed to be a ruse rather than them actually fishing.
An urgent report came in from the battle station.
-Multiple planes are approaching at Azimuth 0-9-5, distance 420, and speed at Mach 1.2.
-How many in total? Do we know the type?
-A total of 70 planes have been detected. We will check the model now, sir.
“Are there any remaining aerial forces left in the Japanese air force to attack us at this point?”
Captain Ahn Yoon-joon glanced at his first mate with a bewildered look on his face.
“You’re right sir. I am having a hard time understanding how Japan could deploy 70 jets to our location when the entire nation is under attack.”
First Mate Oh Hyun-woo also could not understand and tilted his head while speaking.
-Captain, we have identified the model of enemy planes. They are the F-1 Mitsubishi jets.
-Mitsubishi F-1 jets? Aren’t they retired?
-The 15th reserve fighter wing has left them active as a reserve force, sir.
-Arms man! It would be a waste to use our Sky Sea Dragon missiles on them. So, use our Haegung missiles on them instead.
-Yes, captain. We will begin the interception with the Haegung missiles.
